Once you’ve connected the Vespa MIA system, there’s another new functionality:MIA Eco Ride, an exciting brand-new function. Simply activate the navigator, select your preferred CO2 emissions level and the system will come up with a route designed to reduce fuel consumption. That’s not all, however. The MIA app collates ABS and incline sensor data, enabing you to send an automatic SOS message with your location coordinates should you have an accident or find yourself in trouble.**

The latest technologies meet timeless Vespa design in a glorious combination of shiny, textural and matt colours that create dramatic interplays of light and contrast. High-tech finishes in warm grey and fluorescent green catch the eye, while elements such as the seat in high-quality materials with contrast stitching, the underseat compartment with LED lightingand the appealing design of the many other details are just some of the reasons that Vespa scooters continue to remain a one-of-a-kind species.

It is the first large Vespa to adopt fully digital instrumentation thanks to its 4.3″ colour TFT screen. Providing both riding parameters and general trip statistics, the screen also serves as an interface for the VESPA MIA connectivity system, which allows full communication between rider and scooter. The Bluetooth connection and the dedicated Vespa application transform the screen into an extension of the smartphone and allows the rider to answer calls, display SMS notifications, listen to music recorded on the smartphone... The screen also serves as a navigation system*, accompanying the rider, by pictogram of indications, along the route predefined on the Vespa application.

The Vespa 75th is a limited edition that is only available during 2021. This once-in-a-lifetime gem is destined to have hearts aflutter and pulses racing.

75 YEARS since the Vespa patent filed on 23 April 1946 to 2021, Vespa traversed the global roads in style. A period that continues to see Vespa lead new trends in social customs, music, youth culture while accompanying the growth of countries and continents to become a timeless icon, a symbol of contemporary living, and an example of Italian style and technology. Available in 2021 to celebrate Vespa’s 75th anniversary as a true citizen of the world, a glamorous new special series, Vespa 75th, has been created for the Vespa Primavera 150 and Vespa GTS 300 cc. As with the very first Vespa, the Vespa 75th body is all-steel and presented in “Giallo

75th”, an original metallic yellow, developed specifically for the new series as a contemporary interpretation of hues in vogue of the 1940s. The colour, ‘Zolpho’ evokes heritage, innovative spirit, and a fashion-loving style of Vespa. The side panels and front mudguard display the number 75 in a slightly stronger shade, creating a quietly elegant tone-on-tone effect, which is repeated on the front shield traditional “tie” in opaque pyrite yellow.

A special saddle in smoke grey with piping, wheel rims painted in grey with a machine finish, and a host of chrome-plated detail, including the horn cover, instrument cluster surround, muffler cover, the rear-view mirrors, and, on the GTS , foldaway passenger footpegs.  The chrome rear luggage rack, distinctive to Vespa 75th, provides a mount for the 75th embossed round bag shaped to replicates the original spare wheel holder. Made from velvety-soft nubuck leather in the same colour as the saddle, the bag has a shoulder strap for easy carrying, and clips on the luggage rack with a quick-release mechanism and waterproof cover. The series is identified with a plate behind the leg shield (not numbered).

The Vespa 75th represents the top of the Vespa range: all the models of this anniversary version are equipped with a 4.3” TFT colour display, while the fully digital instrument cluster makes the best possible use of the capabilities of the Vespa MIA smartphone connectivity system.

In addition to all this, to mark the exclusivity of this special celebratory series, each Vespa 75th comes with a Welcome Kit including a vintage steel Vespa plate, a personal Owner’s Book, and eight collector postcards with images from the eight decades of the Vespa story.

The Vespa 75th sports all sorts of details that make it a true classic, such as its metallic yellow, called Giallo 75th, a contemporary interpretation of the colours that were so in vogue during the Forties and seen here on the steel body. A special badge with the series name on the rear of the shield is another celebratory touch that marks this momentous occasion.

Vespa’s revered iconic soul meets its more modern counterpart. It comes with a 4.3” full-colour TFT display with integrated Vespa MIA to offer the best infotainment package with an icon-based navigation function. The GTS 75th also includes an icon-based navigation function.

The Sprint S may be sporty but isn’t afraid to embrace technology, with its innovative instrument panel with multi-functional full-colour TFT display, connected to the Vespa MIA app that gives the rider an incredible wealth of useful information. In addition to details such as the state of the bike and trip data, it allows you to answer telephone calls using buttons on the handlebar and to use your smartphone voice commands to make calls and manage your music playlist.

The Sprint S takes its dynamic sporty look from the iconic generation of Vespas that swarmed European towns and cities during the swinging Sixties. Today this model has inherited the fresh, funky and carefree spirit of the scooters from yesteryear, but has also welcomed an injection of dynamic state-of-the-art twenty-first century technology.

There’s no two-wheeler more iconic than the Vespa scooter, and in 2021, the company turns 75 years old. To celebrate, the company is selling anniversary editions of its classic step-throughs.

Founded in 1946, Vespa scooters have been in production ever since, sold all over the world and serving as everything from around-town runabouts to touring rigs to race machines. Vespa has sold almost 19 million scooters worldwide in the past seven+ decades, building 1.8 million in the past decade alone.

The 75th anniversary scooters are restyled versions of the Primavera 50 and 150 (US customers also get the GTS300, but not up here). Along with the special paint, Vespa’s thrown lots of chrome trim at these machines, and there’s a leather bag for the rack, too, meant to emulate the classic “spare tire” that Vespas used to come with.

The 75th anniversary edition of the Primavera 50 will cost $5,095 plus taxes and fees. The Primavera 150 version will cost $6,345. Vespa says they’ll be in Canada in June. More details below!

From 23 April 1946, the patent filing date, to 2021: seventy-five years of history during which the Vespa has taken the roads of the entire world up by a whole new gear. A period that has seen the Vespa lead new trends in social customs, music, youth culture, accompany the growth of countries and continents and become a timeless icon, a symbol of contemporary living, an example of Italian style and technology.

To celebrate the Vespa’s 75th anniversary as a true citizen of the world, a new special series, Vespa 75th, has been created for the Vespa Primavera (in 50 and 150cc models) and the Vespa GTS(300cc). It will be available in the US in May/June, and for 2021 only. A unique offer, which is also presented on the VESPA.COM website and the Vespa social media channels.

The Vespa 75th body, as always in all-steel, is presented in “Giallo 75th”, an original metallic yellow. Developed specifically for the new series as a contemporary interpretation of hues in vogue in the 1940s, the color evokes the heritage, innovative spirit and fashion-loving style of the Vespa. The side panels and front mudguard display the number 75 in a slightly stronger shade, creating a quietly elegant tone-on-tone effect, which is repeated on the front of the scooter, where the traditional “tie” is an opaque “Giallo Pirite” yellow.

The rear luggage rack, another distinctive feature of the Vespa 75th, is also chrome-plated: it houses a round bag whose shape replicates the typical spare wheel holder. Made from soft nubuck leather in the same color as the saddle, the bag has a shoulder strap for easy carrying, and clips on the luggage rack with a quick-release mechanism. It comes with a waterproof cover. Like all Vespa special editions, the series is identified with a plate behind the leg shield.

In technology terms, the Vespa 75th represents the top of the Vespa range: the models of this anniversary version (with 150cc/300cc engine) are equipped with a 4.3” TFT color display, while the fully digital instrument cluster makes the best possible use of the capabilities of the Vespa MIAsmartphone connectivity system.

In addition to all this, to mark the exclusivity of this special celebratory series, each Vespa 75th comes with a Welcome Kit including an elegant Italian jacquard-silk scarfwith handsewn hems, a vintage steel Vespa plate, a personal Owner’s Book and eight collector postcards with images from the eight decades of the Vespa story.

In 75 years of history (Piaggio registered its patent on 23 April 1946) and nearly19 million vehicleson the road in five continents, Vespa has given the entire world a new gear, spreading as it has across the world’s roads, uniting youngsters from very differing and distant cultures in a unique passion. The first truly global mobility brand, Vespa has become a common thread between generations, used by all different groups in society, creating various cultural phenomena particular to the different settings in which it has found itself, to the point of becoming a protagonist and a distinctive trait. It has steered habits, music and youth, and has accompanied countries and continents as they have grown, racing alongside them in times of economic boom.

Since 2004, when 58,000 vehicles were produced, the growth of the Vespa brand has been constant and spectacular. More than 100,000 units were produced in 2006, arriving at 180,000 in 2017 and passing the benchmark of 200,000 units in 2018.

Today, Vespa is a more global brand than ever before, a real citizen of the world, produced at three production sites: Pontedera, the plant where Vespas have been built uninterruptedly since 1946 with production destined for Europe and Western markets, the Americas included; Vinh Phuc, in Vietnam, which serves the local market and the Far East; and India, at the ultra-modern Baramati factory, opened in April 2012 to manufacture Vespas for the Indian market.

A special matt black finish on the wheel rims sets off the yellow found in the designs on the iconic front shield “tie”, the rear shield and front suspension springs, a colour also used in the two-color stitching on the seat’s double upholstery and just one of the many details that make the Vespa SuperTech such a standout.

The Vespa GTS SuperTech 300 with its 300 HPE (High Performance Engine) and ASR traction control as standard is the fastest, most powerful Vespa of all time. Its single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled 300 cc engine with electronic injection delivers up to 23.8 Hp and its first-class quality construction makes for remarkable acceleration from a standstill. In short, the word Super is the perfect description.

The GTS SuperTech is the first large body Vespa to adopt a totally digital instrument panel. Its full-color 4.3″ TFT display includes all the usual information such as speed, total and partial miles, outside temperature, fuel level, and much more. With the Vespa MIA app, your smartphone becomes an extension of the vehicle, giving you access to navigation data and allowing you to easily and safely manage calls and your music playlists. What’s more, the display also functions as a navigation tool, with easy-to-read pictograms accompanying you all the way. The navigation function is free for three years from the date of first activation. Renewal after this date is optional.

The Chetak’s headlight, tail light and turn signals feature LED units, while the instrument cluster is a fully digital LCD unit. The electric scooter also gets smartphone connectivity, with Internet Of Things (IoT) to notify the owner if the scooter is tampered with or if it does not charge properly. You can also check the scooter"s location, charge status, and remaining range using this feature. That said, there’s no turn-by-turn navigation on the console.

Up front, the scooter features a single-sided suspension like the Vespa, and the rear gets a monoshock. There’s a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back.
