We love Q2 Tire from Gyeon, but sometimes I want something that goes on a little faster and some people are definitely going to prefer the look of Perl! The solution to both problems is to offer both in our store because you better believe we have both on our shelf in the shop. Perl will look more wet and Q2 Tire looks more satin. The interesting thing about Perl is that you can dilute it and change the way it looks. It also gets easier to apply as you dilute it more! Especially if you put it in a spray bottle and spray it on then rub it in with a tire applicator.

Perl is a big time saver but it also presents a different look than Q2 Tire. Our customer"s tastes vary and about half prefer the look of Perl when compared to Q2. Additionally, sometimes we need to spray a tire dressing on to get good coverage like on a Jeep Tire for example. Q2 Tire cannot be sprayed on and that becomes a very tedious process.

Apply Perl straight/undiluted to your tire for a shiny look that isn"t overpowering. If that"s too much for you, grab an empty spray bottle and start diluting and testing for your best result. Everyone will prefer a different dilution. Perl can also be sprayed on straight. It is a great way to get good coverage and apply the product fast.

Perl will last around a month per application. You will notice the protection fade slowly over time just like any other protection but the tire will stay noticeably darker and cleaner looking. That great satin finish will wear off after about 1-2 weeks and if that"s a very desirable look for you, like it is for me, then just reapply it more often to keep your tires looking amazing all the time!

For My G80 i"ll be putting the roar professional grade ceramic coating on the car as my main source of protection. For washing soaps i typically use Gyeon bath essence(weekly), and restart wash(every 1.5 months). For wheel cleaner ive tried Sonax, gyeon wheel cleaner, and PS brake buster and of the three I cannot tell a difference. For tire protection I"m going to give Carpro Blackout a shot and see how that goes but I"ll likely be using Gyeon tire as well. For the interior Gyeon leathercoat, and Gyeon interior detailer, as well as P&S interior cleaner. Finally as a finish or sacrificial layer on the Paint i alternate between using Kamikaze overcoat and Polish angel High gloss. High gloss doesn"t repel dirt as good as I would like but the shine it gave my silverstone F80 was absolutely unreal. These personally are my favourite products after tons of my own personal testing. I also like to use a snowfoam even though it really doesnt do much and for that i LOVE Koch Chemie Gentle snow foam( I"ve started to mess around with their products and look forward to more of them coming to canada).I want the best for my M3 and I am very happy with what I currently have.

PERL was also applied to plastic trim of 2 vehicles. For plastic trim it is recommended to dilute between 1:1 and 1:3. I found it to apply extremely easily when applied 1:1 or 1:3 and to leave a nice matte finish. It can be layered on exterior trim as well. With this type of surface you can spray on and then wipe off with a Microfiber towel or apply with foam and leave as is or lightly wipe with mf towel. I recommend spraying it on and wiping it off.

I went against the grain on one test and actually applied it un-diluted with a foam applicator. This produced a higher gloss level that looked very plastic in contrast to the nice matte finish that is discovered when applying it properly.

After I finished polishing and cleaning the seals I applied Cquartz to them. After buffing them 30 minutes later I moved on to other things and came back later to coat them with PERL (neat)

On interior surfaces I really didnt know what to expect from PERL. For a comparison I applied PERL and UIGP side by side on some of the surfaces in my Sky including finished leather and also vinyl.

Well, I hope you guys are still with me so Ill speed through this last section. What you see below got a quick once over with Eco Touch APC and was then dressed with PERL 1:1.

PERL is a jack-of-all-trades, a master of at least one, and a strong competitor with the rest. To me this product makes 303 Aerospace Protectant feel rather dated. You can use 303 AP on all the same surfaces that PERL can be applied to but its an entirely different product that is less greasy than 303 and it comes in a concentrate that can be diluted at different levels for the desired surface. Another important point is it is easier to apply than 303AP. In most cases it is spray on wipe off where as with 303AP you must apply a bit more effort wit your towel to tame the shine and receive the finish you want.

PERL is darker than UTTG and restores faded trim better initially. I never expect anything to hold up to UTTG in the durability department but I am excited to find out if layering gives me decent durability. But what do I know? I told Avi I didnt expect it could hold up to UTTG and he welcomed me to pit one against the other. It should be exciting to see. On most trim I prefer UTTG at this time but on faded trim Im thinking PERL will accept the position.

On tires I really like the look of PERL and I love, love, love the look when its layered. Ive never seen anything so black and the best part is its jet black AND dry to the touch without too much gloss or any kind of greasy look. From here on Skybaby will be getting 3 layers of PERL on her tires. This will be her go to tire dressing.

As far as interior performance I really like the look and ease of application but the UIGP still has that tactile feel that I love and can also be used on fabrics. There are 2 products in my favorites for use on finished leather but I now have a third. L1 is just a pinch darker than UIGP but it fails miserably in the hydrophobic dept next to UIGP. PERL on the other hand is darker than both L1 and UIGP but it doesnt quite have the tactile feel of UIGP although I do like it. As far as the hydrophobic properties of PERL at 1:5 it is equal to beading and resistance UIGP gives and a good deal better than L1. On many vehicles PERL will become my go to interior dressing but on my Sky I think I will still use UIGP. I may switch back and forth on this.

Bottom line is I welcome someone to name a product that (on interior and exterior) applies this easily, looks this good, and feels this dry to the touch, while still achieving the prices that PERL offers. After dilution this product is an excellent value in my estimation.

PERL Coat is water-based silicon oxide, solvent-free, hydrophobic, and provides great satin shine and revives faded plastic, engine, rubber, and leather surfaces. While it can easily spray, it has great cling to keep it on the surface. It lasts up to 3 months.

PERL Coat has no chemical solvents, which can cause damage to tires. PERL Coat contains a high degree of UV protection to keep the surface from yellowing, cracking and fading as a result of sun damage. PERL Coat will stop leather from cracking and prevent dirt and stains from penetrating the surface.Treated surfaces require less cleaning and will remain in like-new condition. PERL Coat restores the original finish to vinyl, rubber, plastic, acrylic, and leather.

Clean the surface well before applying PERL Coat. Shake the diluted mixture well before use. Spray on surface from 20cm distance and wipe off with a microfiber towel.

CarPro PERL is a water-based silicone-oxide all-purpose dressing from Plastic, Engine, Rubber and Leather and it’s capable of dressing all of these surfaces, with minimal shine whilst providing UV protection.

The great thing about CarPro PERL is that you’re able to dilute it with water for its specific use case, after all, you wouldn’t want to use the product that you use on your tires at the same strength on your interior plastics or leather.

I’ve also used PERL at straight dilutions on my tires for a deepening of the blacks, as well as a slight sheen, but not glossy. You can also use a microfibre towel to remove the excess if it’s too shiny for you. The product didn’t sling all over my freshly cleaned paint, which was most welcome, and even after the sheen had faded, the tires were still noticeably black rather than grey or even brown.

I’ve also used PERL on some of my interior plastics, after a good cleaning it didn’t add any unwanted shine, but the colour was darker and definitely improved the presentation, which is certainly welcome when you’ve had a day at work and you’re getting into your pride and joy for the trip home.

As mentioned above, CarPro PERL is a dilutable formula, dilutable for various tasks and areas on your car, from your tires to your trim and even leather.

Below you can see I spray some CarPro PERL onto the panel, holding the cloth to make sure the silicone-based formula doesn’t get onto the other cloths, or inside the boot carpet.

My first experience with PERL was on my engine bay, it was after this I knew that this product was going to be brilliant and I had no doubt I would be buying more.

As this was only the engine plastics, I took off what I needed to, gave everything a good clean with an APC and some brushes, and then removed the cleaner with some microfibre cloths before applying the coat of PERL, which I had diluted in a trigger spray bottle.

I also took the opportunity to use some PERL on any rubber hoses or rubber trim, such as the ones between my bonnet and bumper, just so they didn’t let the side down in terms of the overall finish.

My coat of PERL lasted for 2 weeks between washes, and on one of those weekends, I had driven on a mountain pass, during a storm, so it held up very well.

My trim has been darkened and I haven’t seen any major signs of fade, the restorative effects of PERL are more than skin deep, even if the initial deep darkening isn’t there after you’ve washed your car, the areas certainly don’t go directly back to grey or heavily faded and a quick top-up coat, like you might top up paint protection with spray wax, does the trick to bring it back to a better than new condition.

CarPro is highly usable, from exterior trim, tires, leather and even plastics in your car, it’s dilutable, which aids to a positive review as it will inevitably go further than you think, which is always a winner, and, from my experience, buying a bottle is not expensive.

Sure, there are other cheaper options in the market, but if you want a quality product, that’s able to reliably deliver good results consistently, then CarPro PERL is what you’ll want to pick up from your local reseller.

On the “…go further than you think..”quote above. I’ve had a bottle of PERL (500ml) for just over 2 months now, I’ve poured some out and diluted it, dressed trim and other bits after every wash (approx 6 washes with our current pandemic), and have dressed the tires with neat PERL after each of those washes and I haven’t even used 20% of the bottle yet.
