I really like the style of this shelf and that the panels act like a bookend. Its perfect for the corner of my small homeschool dining room. However, I did have two issues. First thing I did, per the instructions, was to attach a leg. The holes must not have been predrilled deep enough or something was defective with the leg because the leg split in half and the screws weren’t even set down inside all the way yet. I left the leg off, assembled the rest, wood glued the leg and improv’d attaching the leg to the rear of the unit so you can’t see the crack. I also had an issue with the final screw — the hex on it was damaged and the allen wrench began slipping as I continued to tighten it. It was nearly stuck in place, half way in and half way out. An extra tight grip on some pliers got it out and a spare screw worked just fine. So, I do really like it, but its not a perfect unit. I would assemble with caution and be prepared to disassemble and return if you can’t remedy.
