I noticed on my 7" TFT that the crystal clock was pushing against the plastic as the hole was in the wrong place (see photo), so i drilled out a bit of a gap with it, using my Dremel (see image).

When assembled it looks OK, but offers no protection to the front of the screen, which is expected as it would reduce the effectiveness of the touchscreen itself.
