The Large Area Display 20 x 8 (LAD-2008) is an advanced cockpit display that features a fully redundant 20 x 8 in. active area LCD with no mullion and multi-touch screen technology. This display system incorporates patented optical design techniques to provide outstanding brightness and contrast ratio, with reduced reflections in high ambient conditions. NVG compatibility ensures situational awareness in all phases of flight, and the color gamut enhancement techniques combined with 16.7 million color-depth results in improved detection, recognition, and identification with sensor matching performance. The LAD-2008 also meets MIL-STD and DO-160 environmental standards, as well as EMI/EMC-compliant, which ensures reliability and performance in demanding applications.

The modular design of the LAD-2008 supports DVI-D and high-definition serial digital interface (3G-SDI) video inputs and outputs, and it allows for interchangeability to fiber-optic video (ARINC-818) and future growth for on-board graphics processing. It also includes Intellisense’s vFusion technology, which delivers on-board graphics processing for combining multiple video inputs on one display. The LAD-2008 can also be customized with a variety of bezel configurations with push buttons, rocker switches, and rotary switches. It is designed to fit with a low-profile HUD.

Designed and built for military and commercial aircraft and vehicles, the LAD-2150 has the lowest through-life cycle cost compared to commercially sourced displays, which often require multiple engineering and panel refresh cycles to endure the operational lifespan of the platform.

The LAD-2150 incorporates a separate day/night mode backlight that minimizes power. In addition to providing stunning day mode chromaticity (typical luminance of 300 fL) the LCD module is certified to MIL-STD-3009 Class B NVIS to offer operation with NVIS goggles in night mode.
