I took apart the Sony LCD screen for the PSOne and the problem is due to 10 broken plastic forms that serve as receptacles for 10 screws. The metal hinge assemblies seem exceptionally tight and do not move easily (I have to use pliers) so my guess is that the screen got really tough to move and the original owner forced it and the plastic broke. If it sounds like pieces are rattling around inside the LCD there is a good chance that this is what happened. I think any type of repair is very unlikely to be successful. The screen itself is still good so maybe I"ll use it some project some day.

Sorry for not replying rappdily i didnt get a notification. My inverter is a special case actually and wondered if you can give me advice. When disasembeling the screen, i pushed the inverter and now it dis attached from 1 side. Its the side with the 2 pins. One solder pad is still there and hopefully still working, but the otherone has no trace of it even being there. Can another inverter fix this? My inverter says 463w1322d1d2. Added a picture to the atrachments.

It"s been a while since I last looked at one of these screens, but it looks like they are using one half of the secondary winding. You might be able to just solder across to the other side, but I don"t know how it"s wound because I don"t have one in front of me to analyse the voltage/phase differences. You can try soldering it, but it could damage your CFL circuitry down the line.

The only safe suggestion I have is to use my spare coil. Do not do an LED mod because it doesn"t have the same luminosity as the original CFL. The screen looks much dimmer and doesn"t have the same contrast levels. Perhaps EL wire would work, but I don"t know if it"s equal to or brighter than the original bulb.

Because this made the two machine types quite significantly different from each other, the developer had to test the title on both machines before submitting. The blue debugs (DTL-H100x, DTL-H110x) had the old silicon and the green ones (DTL-H120x) had the new silicon.
