acer x223w replacement lcd panel supplier

My X223W monitor is pushing 6 years old. It was working perfectly 4 weeks ago before a 1 week trip. When I returned, I pressed the power button to turn it on. The power buttom LED simply turned on (blue) and then turned off after 1 second. I get NOTHING on the display itself, not even a flicker nor the Acer logo. Pressing the power button again got nothing - not even the 1-second power button light. I unplugged the monitor, plugged it into a wall outlet (it was plugged into a power strip the whole week I was gone), tried the power button again, but got NOTHING. Not even the 1 second power button LED. Here is what I have tried to fix this:

Because of the age of the monitor, I think I"ll likely just buy a new Acer. But, I"d love to fix this one eventually so that I could maybe end up with two displays. Is there another component I should be looking at that might cause this? Should I replace the entire power board? Is in an inverter? The logic board perhaps? Any advice would be welcome.

On power up the power LED just blinks on and then off repeatedly. I suspected bad power supply caps, but on dis-assembly nothing was obvious. Most problems seem to be related to the backlights, but while trying to check those I found that the power will stay on if the ribbon cable is disconnected from the panel. The backlights work just fine in this case, but of course there is nothing displayed. The panel is an LG LM220WE1 which I have found a data sheet for that shows the pinout on the ribbon cable connector, but unfortunately nothing on the electronics of the board. It looks like 5 volts is supplied to the panel through the ribbon cable and I suspect that the panel is overloading the power supply which causes it to shutdown and restart repeatedly. The panel circuit board looks like it may have voltage regulators to reduce the 5 volts further but I haven"t had much luck deciphering the part numbers. I am wondering if anyone else has seen something like this and had any luck repairing it.
