I have also heard white vinegar mixed 50/50 with distilled might work as well, but again this is not something I have tried, and the results look to be something more likely on reg glue/gum etc vs superglue.

A high percentage concentration of Isopropyl Alcohol might work to soften up the glue enough to scrape it off with your fingernail, but you"ll need to leave it on the spot for awhile. I suggest using a Q-Tip soaked in 90% Isopropyl Alcohol to avoid exposing the TV screen itself to the alcohol as much as possible. Let it sit there for a minute or two, and then attempt to scrape it off while it"s still soft.

so…… you can try and use a dropper and get some alcohol in between the screen and digitizer. and let it sit for a while. the superglue will need to be softened by it for a while. do your best to keep the alcohol out of the screen.

Edit: Acetone is the go-to solution if you accidentally glue your finger to your lip, or worse. It burns, for sure, but that"s better than ripping off a chunk of lip or whatever. And it"s unlikely to do permanent damage. But not if you glue your eyelids together. For that, get medical care.

CA (Cyanoacrylate Adhesives) aka "Super Glue" usually have a debonding chemical to remove glue after it has cured. I know that it does seperate 2 stuck objects, but I"m not sure if it would completly remove all traces of the glue. From a medical journal I just read online, kerosene and margarine are also used to soften superglue. I’m not sure how kerosene interacts with plastics, but beings that it is a petroleum distillate, I would stay clear.

Also note: just because I read about kerosene in a medical journal does NOT mean you should ingest kerosene. It WILL probably kill you! I was simply referring to it being a solvent for superglue. Margarine, on the other hand…ingest it all you want.

OH boy, I tried to glue the trim back on with Gorilla Glue instead of my usual Elmer’s. The stuff got spread around and smudged on the control panel and made it look like crap. For example, if the beanbag is fabric and the glue is only at the top area of the zipper, gather the area in a bunch and tie it with a hair tie so the glue is at the top of the bunch, then you can lay the beanbag on its side to put just that bunched area in a bowl of soapy water to soak. This will allow you to soak the glue without having the liquid get all over and into the beanbag. For a vinyl beanbag, you might be able to do something similar using a chip clip or binder clip to hold the glued area away from the beanbag.
