You can therefore create the screen layout you want with just a few, easily understood commands. All the commands are based on coordinate specifications and can therefore be applied and moved to the nearest pixel.
Helpful for the development, but also powerful for 1st. steps is the simulator software for the EA eDIP240-7. With that internal EEPROM can be used to define some pre-defined screen layouts. Software is available for can be downloaded here immediately: LCD Tools for Windows.
Like all DIP modules, the displays are simply inserted in the PCB and soldered in place. No screws, distance sleeves or cables are required, thus saving material costs and simplifying construction. This results in a saving of between 2 and 4 minutes per module during assembly!
Optionally, we can also supply this display with an analog touch panel which can be used for all types of input. An integrated touch controller is responsible for representing and labelling the keys as well as for their interpretation. What is more, the shape, size and number of the keys can be modified whenever required at runtime. This permits a clear, well-organized screen layout that helps eliminate operating errors.

As the first in the world we do provide TFT displays with 3.2", 4.3" and 7", which are immediately running and do provide from the first minute the full functionality. These displays do require a single supply 5V= (EA eDIPTFT32: 5V= or 3.3V=) and an interface RS-232, I²C or SPI only.
Such as the touch key, bargraph, area, picture, animation, centered strings... are already built-in. You can therefore create the screen layout you want with just a few, easily understood commands. All the commands are based on coordinate specifications and can therefore be applied and moved to the nearest pixel.

For a standard screw mounting (e.g. together with the optional mounting bezel), the displays do come with 2 additional mounting clips for easy screw mounting.Communication via serial interface (RS-232, I²C, SPI)
Additionally to the well-proved versions with a resistive touch panel currently we do provide 2 displays with 4.3" and 7" alternatively equipped with a capacitive touch panel: EA eDIPTFT43-ATC (4.3") and EA eDIPTFT70-ATC (7").
The advantage is more transperency that leads for both sizes to again more brightness and a very contrasty display. The surface is made of glass which is hard profen against scratch, it is hygienic and resistant against all cleaning stuff. The design with its black frame grants your equipment a valuable, modern optic.
An essential detail with industrial applications ist the usability with and without hand gloves. Even when the display is put behind a 3mm glass plate it may be operated perfectly.Technology
With an extended standard temperature range of -20..+70 °C, rapid response times are guaranteed down to -20 °C. Even the essential temperature compensation is already built-in. The displays are designed for +5V single-supply operation (EA eDIPTFT32-A: 3.3~5V=).Getting started

Our factory is looking for a graphics LCD for our prototype. I read somewhere that you sell displays ‒ and I even found the type ‒ 320x240STN with CFL backlight (EA 7320-7.9NC), but I would like to have some technical information about it: I would like to know:
3. For driving the LCD you need a controller chip like SED 1330 or MSM 6255 and some drivers, display memory and a decoder. Then you have to write software with graphics routines, fonts ...
4. The price for the full featured RS-232 KIT (EA KIT7320-V24) is DM 850.00 per pc. It includes 5 integrated fonts, various graphics functions and an RS-232 interface. The power supply is simply 5V. You no longer need a CFL inverter .

Display with a good legibility even in non-optimal light conditions is always an advantage. When we add to it a significant simplification thanks to built-in character sets and graphic functions, we get a display of the eDIP a eDIP TFT series from company Electronic Assembly. Powerful command, touch panel and a high flexibility enable to shorten a development time to a minimum. To an easy usability als contribute very compact dimensions with a maximized screen area. Seven built-in character sets can be displayed up to 4-times scale and by one command they can be rotated in 90° for a vertical display. All character sets can be modified by a „Font tool“ utility and similarly it´s also possible to add your own sets. Commands like menu, clipboard, bargraph, draw, ... enable to relatively easily create a graphic output in a combination of text+graphics.
Various versions of displays feature various inner memory sized depending on a display size, sufficient for placing of many pictures and macros. The newest member of the eDIP/eDIPTFT family is the type eDIPTFT5.7 (640x480px). Natural helpers of development are evaluation boards, which we also keep in stock.

GENERAL The EA eDIP series of displays are the world"s first displays with integrated intelligence. In addition to a variety of integrated fonts that can be used with pixel accuracy, they offer a whole range of sophisticated graphics functions. The displays are ready for operation immediately with an operating voltage of 5V. They are controlled via one of the 3 integrated interfaces: RS-232, SPI or IC. The displays are "programmed" by means of high-level language-type graphics commands. There is no longer any need for the time-consuming programming of character sets and graphics routines. The ease of use of this display with its touch panel dramatically reduces development times. HARDWARE The display is designed to work at an operating voltage of +5V. Data transfer is either serial and asynchronous in RS-232 format or synchronous via the SPI or IC specification. To improve data security, a simple protocol is used for all types of transfer. ANALOG TOUCH PANEL All versions are also available with an integrated touch panel: You can make entries and menu or bar graph settings by touching the display. The labeling of the "keys" is flexible and can also be changed during runtime (different languages, icons). The drawing of the individual "keys" and the labeling is handled by the integrated software. LED ILLUMINATION All displays are equipped with modern, energy-saving LED illumination. Brightness can be varied 0~100% by command. In 24-hour operation, the illumination should be dimmed or switched off as often as possible to increase their lifetime. SOFTWARE This display is programmed by means of commands, such as Draw a rectangle from (479,271). No additional software or drivers are required. Strings and images can be placed with pixel accuracy. Text and graphics can be combined at any time. Different character sets can be used at same time. Each character set and the images can be zoomed from to 8 times and rotated in 90 steps. With the largest character set, the words and numbers displayed will fill the screen. ACCESSORIES Evaluation-Board (Programmer) for internal data flash memory The display is shipped fully programmed and with all fonts. The additional Evaluation-Board is thus generally not required. However, if the internal character sets have to be changed or extended, or if images or macros have to be stored internally, the Evaluation-Board EA 9777-2USB, which is available as an accessory, will burn the data/images you have created into the on-board data flash memory (4 MB) permanently. The Evaluation-Board runs under Windows and is connected to the PC"s USB interface. It is shipped with an interface cable and the installation software. The Evaluation-Board is equipped with serveral LEDs, pushbottons and potentiometer to test all peripherial modes of the eDIP. Interface-Expansion for Evaluation-Board: Wtih the expansion EA 9777-2PE for the Evaluation-Board all interfaces of the display are made available with the help from small adapter boards: RS-232, RS-485, SPI, IC, RS-232 (CMOS level). Further information you will find in the datasheet of the Evalution-Board.
