gpio 5-inch 800x480 tft lcd quotation
I"ve been looking around for a small HDMI LCD screen to use as a seconday screen with Windows and it took a few months of research on and off before deciding on the Elecrow 5" HDMI monitor. For the most part, it took me a while because a lot of reviews here and on other sites were primarily about use and config with Raspberry Pi.
Usually when you see the resolution 800x480 you think how bad that looks when your PC doesn"t have the right drivers installed and it looks blocky. I know it"s all relative and about DPI but once I had it all connected and tested it was sharp and clear, almost HD. I wish I had bought one sooner as it is exactly what I was looking for having tried a Lilliput monitor.
As I"m using this with Windows, I"ve not needed to look through the included driver utility disc and not tried the resistive touchscreen so I can"t comment on those. Windows just detects it as a second display and lets me extend my desktop. No drivers needed. The box contains the LCD screen, a HDMI bridge connector that neatly connects the HDMI socket on the top of the screen to the HDMI socket on the Raspberry Pi when mounted together. Standoffs for mounting are also supplied plus a plastic stylus.
ER-TFTM050-3 is 800x480 dots 5" color tft lcd module display with RA8875 controller board, superior display quality, super wide viewing angle and easily controlled by MCU such as 8051, PIC, AVR, ARDUINO,and ARM .It can be used in any embedded systems, industrial device, security and hand-held equipment which requires display in high quality and colorful image.
It supports 8080 6800 8-bit,16-bit parallel,3-wire,4-wire,I2C serial spi interface. Built-in MicroSD card slot. It"s optional for 4-wire resistive touch panel (IC RA8875 built-in touch controller),capacitive touch panel with controller, font chip, flash chip and microsd card. We offer two types connection, one is pin header and the another is ZIF connector with flat cable.Mounting on board by default. There is no capacitive touch panel connection on the board of ER-TFTM050-3,its capacitive touch panel needs to be connected with your external board. Now we design another new board with capacitive touch connection named_ER-TFTM050A2-3.
Of course, we wouldn"t just leave you with a datasheet and a "good luck!".Here is the link for5" TFT capacitive touch shield with libraries, examples, schematic diagram for Arduino Due,Mega 2560 and Uno. For 8051 microcontroller user,we prepared the detailed tutorial such as interfacing, demo code and development kit at the bottom of this page.
Note: This page listed the 5-inch 800 x 480 5-point Touchscreen with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B kits. Please choose the preferred choice under "Available Options":
This 5" (5-inch) TFT touchscreen screen/display with a resolution of 800 x 480 is perfect for your Raspberry Pi boards. With a DSI interface, true color display, easy installation, and space-saving design, it is a perfect touchscreen monitor for your DIY and on-the-go projects! What we like about this screen is the DSI cable provides the path for both the power and data (graphic and touch sensor), no additional wiring is needed! Super neat.
Note: We notice the WiFi connection on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B will be slow. However, it will still connect to WiFi AP :) Just a little more time. We believed this is due to the PCB antenna on the Raspberry Pi board, and the DSI cable is near that antenna; the wireless signal will be attenuated a little bit. Using the PCB Spacers (included) to increase the gap between the LCD and Raspberry Pi will help.
This is a 5 inch mini HDMI resistive touch screen with 800*480 resolutionfor Raspberry Pi, the high resolution will provide a large viewing screen for Raspberry Pi. Compared with another type of 5-inch display for Raspberry Pi, the backlight of this 5-inch display can be controlled by Raspberry Pi GPIO pin 11. Generally, the backlight is on, then input a high level, and it will turn off. The Pin 11 control a MOS tube switch on or off, the MOS tube switch will enable and disable the EN end of the backlight power IC. This design makes it convenient to control the backlight when we put the display into a product and safe power at the same time.
This 5 inch TFT screen with a touchscreen has a high resolution. The screen supports any revision of the Raspberry Pi and works perfectly for Raspberry Pi B+/2B/3B. The power consumption for the screen backlight is low. The high resolution of 800 x 480 can give you a full color experience, the touch screen allows users to play easily.
To use the LCD with the Raspberry Pi official image, driver (SPI touch interface only) should be installed first. Please refer to the user manual. However, for the first testing, you may want to use our image directly (if provided).
It is recommended to use a 5V/3A power adapter for the Raspberry Pi other than USB connection, otherwise the Pi may failed to start up because the PC"s USB port might have not enough power. For large size LCDs, say, 10inch diagonal or more, another stand-alone power adapter is also required to provide power to the LCD.
