Don"t think so. This one just replaces everything with the frame. I watched a few other vids on YT on display replacement though, and some involved crushing the glass on the broken display along with the display itself to remove it from the frame, so I can assume it"s very difficult to keep the display intact while removing the glass.
This phone is a great option when it comes to those looking for pretty basic feature sets, and nothing too fancy. The phone retails with Android Nougat out of the box, has a pretty standard 5.3 inch HD screen, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
Battery power is decent, with 2880 mAh capacity and decent life. The display is of the IPS LCD kind, which is on par with many big brands and phones. Straight from the box, the K30s firmware can be upgraded to a newer version.
So, the bottomline would be that the K30 is a great option for the entry level price range. We would suggest you to keep digging, however, before you make the decision. It is possible that you come across better phones in a similar price range, such as those made by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi.
Released in 2018, the LG K30 is an entry level smartphone with basic features that will appeal to first time buyers, or those looking to buy smartphones on the cheap. Pretty decent entry level specs, coupled with a solid design and a fingerprint sensor make it a good buy.
LG uses the IPS LCD technology in making the display of the K30, with a 1280 by 720 pixels resolution and a 277 pixels per inch screen density. The colours are vibrant, the screen feels good knowing the fact that there is only an HD screen on the device, and not even a full HD screen. For what it’s worth, the brightness is good and viewing angles are decent.
The handset display is capable of displaying 16 million colours, which is a standard for many phones in the market. The screen to body ratio is about 69.5%, which is a respectable number. The display also supports multitouch functions.
With a 5.3 inch IPS LCD display, the LG K30 houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the phone, and skips any buttons on the front. The sides of the phone house the basic power buttons and volume rockers, and the entire phone is built from a solid mix of plastic and metal.
With a Snapdragon 425 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, the LG K30 offers quite a nice level of performance for an entry level handset. It ships with Android Nougat 7.1.2, and the firmware of the phone can be upgraded to a newer version as stated before.
The LG K30 will by no means rock your world or make you think that it is the best phone ever. What it does offer, however, is a good entry level experience, with decent features to quench your thirst for a smartphone and the Android experience. 2 GB of RAM is pretty decent to multitask, with the 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras offering a nice picture clicking experience.
Buying this handset wouldn’t be the wisest decision you ever make, however. For the price point, there are many other phones available in the market that could give a tough competition to the LG K30, or even beat it in many aspects. So, do your research before splurging your money.
