The difference in my idea is to find an 8bit display instead of 16bit and theoretically boosting refresh rate to 40fps (30 fps would be fine aswell) as we need to write 2 times less data to the display and also read 2 times less data from an sd card per frame. Each pixel of a TFT LCD is made up of three subpixels. One each for red, green, and blue. Each of these subpixels has an individual transistor from the thin film transistor layer that controls the amount of current at the subpixel. The liquid crystals for each subpixel are affected by the voltage level at the transistor, which causes their structure to change relative to the voltage level.
