Returning with its unquestionable off-road excellence, the latest Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top is finally here at VINCAR. With a more straightforward two-door body, this 4×4 SUV emphasizes retro credibility and on and off-road comfort at its most utilitarian.
Arriving in a short-wheelbase version, the Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top carries over the heavy-duty D7x aluminium architecture, which gives the SUV that practical and high-riding capability. It also comes wrapped in toughened materials, supported by a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with a full-size spare wheel. While the white contrast roof with black roof rails and the Satin Ceres Silver finish in the badging, grille bar, and front and rear skid pan heighten the Hard Top’s road aesthetics.
Built for that all-terrain capability, the Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top is powered by a 6-Cylinder Twin Turbocharged (D) MHEV engine mated to the smooth-shifting 8-speed Automatic (AWD) transmission. This powerhouse system produces 200 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, with an acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds at a top speed of 175 km/h.
Driving inside the Hard Top feels remarkably quiet for an SUV with a top-notch aerodynamic profile. This is matched by a modernized and more systematic interior, showcasing an immaculate dashboard and a driver-oriented layout where ventilation and vehicle function buttons are grouped in a binnacle next to the gear selector. It is also complete with Pivi Pro infotainment with smartphone integration and analogue dials with a central TFT display behind the steering wheel.
One of its applauded differences from its predecessors is the intensified practicality and space in the cabin. It is a unique passenger vehicle with the rear seats removed and replaced by a tough, flat, load floor from the side-opening tailgate right through the full-height bulkhead behind the front seats. It features durable rubber loadspace flooring, high-sided rubber mats, a 12V power socket in the loadspace and a huge range of other accessories.
As solid and bulky as it looks, this new-generation Defender is easy to drive on the road, riding effortlessly on long distances. It features performance-enhancing technology and safety equipment, such as the Terrain Response, Twin-speed transfer box (high/low range), Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), and Low traction launch.
The latest Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top remains an icon in its range. Combining classic rugged SUV with practicality and performance, this solid 4×4 can cater for your adventurous or business pursuits.

One local buyer who ordered a Land Rover Defender 110 recently received an email from the car-maker saying that “certain options and standard features that were previously available have been removed from production until further notice”.
As a result, the vehicle in question, which was said to have been “in the final stages of build”, has had its 12.3-inch interactive driver display (digital instrument panel) replaced with a regular cluster with analogue dials and a TFT display.
That means a smaller 7.0-inch screen, no ability to hide the dials from view or configurate the instrument panel to provide a more personalised layout.
Matrix LED headlights also specified on the customer’s car were replaced with less sophisticated but still “premium” LED headlights that include high beam assist.
