» Makerfabs is Open Hardware, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, mbed, BeagleBone, IoT, Smart Home, etc, Related Products& Services Vendor for Makers and new Startups.
This super-cool round display features a 240x240 resolution with 65K RGB colours for a clear and colourful interface. The IPS LCD uses an SPI interface meaning it can be used with a wide range of development boards and microcontrollers such as the Raspberry Pi, Arduino and more.
The driver used in this LCD is GC9A01, with a resolution of 240RGB×240 dots and 129600 bytes of GRAM inside. This LCD supports 12-bits/16-bits/18-bits data bus by MCU interface, which are RGB444, RGB565, RGB666.
For most LCD controllers, the communication method of the controller can be configured, they are usually using 8080 parallel interface, 3-line SPI, 4-line SPI, and other communication methods. This LCD uses a 4-line SPI interface for reducing GPIO and fast speed.LCD
If you are wondering which point is the first pixel of the screen (because the screen is round), you can understand it as a square screen with an inscribed circle drawn in it, and it only displays the content in this inscribed circle. The pixels in other locations are simply discarded (just like most round smartwatches on the market)
I"d start by searching Library Manager for a library to read images from the camera ("OV7670") and a library to display images on the LCD ("GC9A01"). Each library has a "More info" link at the bottom of the description which points to the sources and whatever documentation exists.
Keyestudio Circular TFT LCD is a 1.6-inch TFT liquid crystal display module. Its input voltage is 3.3V~-5.5V. It can display colored patterns and text.
During the experiment, we set the coordinates to the coordinate center of the display, and the maximum absolute value of the positive and negative half axes is 64.
The parameter 1.6" is marked according to the screen specifications provided by the screen supplier. The actual display area is approximately 1.26" (32mm in diameter).
RoundyFi is a 1.28-inch round LCD display based an ESP-12E MCU capable of running at 80 or 160MHz with built-in support for 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. The ESP-12E is particularly praised for its efficiency and ease of use. The screen is a full color display and has two interface options: USB MicroB or the 6 pin through hole vias at the bottom of the screen (male headers included).
The 1.28" Round LCD Breakout is a 1.28-inch display breakout with 240 x 240 resolution, 65K RGB colors, and a clear and colorful displaying effect meant to help gadgets increase their interaction via SPI connection by providing a GPIO header for an easy interface. The GC9A01 display driver and SPI interface are integrated into the 1.28" Round LCD Breakout, decreasing the number of IO pins required.
This is a 240RGBX240 dot-matrix TFT LCD module with GC9A01. This module is composed of a TFT LCD Panel, driver ICs, FPC and a Backlight unit. It uses a full-color LCD screen with a circular appearance and is suitable for making watches, clocks, or measuring instruments. It can also connect with ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.
