Don"t waste your time cracking open Dell monitors to mod arcade1up cabinets. I ordered this monitor for a mod with a Pandoras box and have no regrets. Just put the mount onto a table saw and cut the corners with a small hacksaw to keep it square. Fit right in and no messing with lcd converters on the cabinet. Bigger screen with HDMI hook up. PERFECT.

TFT LCD image retention we also call it "Burn-in". In CRT displays, this caused the phosphorus to be worn and the patterns to be burnt in to the display. But the term "burn in" is a bit misleading in LCD screen. There is no actual burning or heat involved. When you meet TFT LCD burn in problem, how do you solve it?

When driving the TFT LCD display pixels Continously, the slightly unbalanced AC will attract free ions to the pixels internal surface. Those ions act like an addition DC with the AC driving voltage.

Those burn-in fixers, screen fixer software may help. Once the Image Retention happened on a TFT, it may easy to appear again. So we need to take preventive actions to avoid burn in reappearing.

For normal white TFT LCD, white area presenting minimal drive, black area presenting maximum drive. Free ions inside the TFT may are attracted towards the black area (maximum drive area)

The Open Frame Monitor is based on a visualization module with an integrated video controller that can be modularly configured and expanded. It is particularly suitable for use in harsh industrial environments, but also as a reliable solution in highly frequented POS/POI environments.

The robust Open Frame Monitors are available in the formats 15 inch with a resolution of 1024 x 768, 17 inch (1280 x 1024) and 19 inch (1280 x 1024). The lightweight yet rugged display (3.5 kg to 5.1 kg, depending on the size of the display) can be easily integrated into existing fronts and is available with PCAP, resistive touch or with protection glass.

The choice of different front frames ensures a maximum of flexibility. They are available in different versions: made of aluminium (dark grey, powder-coated) or stainless steel, for 19" control cabinet installation or with On-Screen-Display (OSD) buttons. Individual designs of the front frames, for example in corporate colours, can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively thanks to the modular concept. The shock-resistant display is particularly suitable for demanding environments on machines, in factories, control centres or for applications at the point of sale (POS) or point of interest (POI).

Supported Camera Input Resolutions: 720x400, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 128 x 720, 1280x1024, 1360x768, 1400x900, 1600x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, D1, 960H, 720p, 1080p

Here is a close-up of the video input panel of the monitor. The HD BNC input is compatible with analog CCTV, HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD (analog high definition) security cameras. The BNC Output duplicates the video signal from the input so that it can be sent to a second device. It acts as a video splitter. The BNC In on the left can only used for analog CCTV cameras (CVBS / composite).

HD security camera connected directly to the monitor"s BNC input using an RG59 coax cable. Please note that this is the HD BNC input on the monitor. The HD BNC input is compatible with analog CCTV, HD-TVI, HD-CVI, and AHD security cameras. 1080p / 2 megapixel resolution is supported.

Here is an example of one of our CVI monitors being used for a live security camera display monitor in a retail store. In this installation, the HD-CVI camera is wired to the BNC video input of the monitor using

RG59 coax cable. The BNC loop output is wired to a surveillance DVR (also with RG59). This allows the camera"s video to be displayed on the monitor at the retail store entrance and also recorded on the store"s digital video recorder.

The MON-LCD-19BNC can also be used as a HD-TVI monitor or AHD monitor using the same installation described above. The only difference would be that an HD-TVI or AHD security camera would be used.

Here is a diagram that shows how to install a live security camera display monitor with a surveillance DVR. The orange and green cable is RG59 coax. The BNC output of the CCTV camera connects to the BNC input of the monitor. The BNC loop output of the monitor connects to one of the BNC inputs on the DVR. Please note that the camera, monitor, and DVR can be very far apart. Also, you can still use the HDMI or VGA video outputs of the DVR to have a display monitor to control the DVR.
