rtx 3090 lcd display brands

AORUS - the premium gaming brand from GIGABYTE had launched a completely new series of RTX 30 graphics cards, including RTX 3090 Xtreme, RTX 3090 Master, RTX 3080 Xtreme, and RTX 3080 Master.
Besides excellent cooling and superior performance, LCD Edge View is another spotlight of AORUS RTX 30 series graphics cards. LCD Edge View is a small LCD located on the top of the graphics card. What could users do with this small LCD? Let’s find it out.
LCD Edge View is a LCD located on the graphics card, you can use it todisplay GPU info including temperature, usage, clock speed, fan speed, VRAM usage, VRAM clock and total card power. All this information can be shown one by one or just certain ones on the LCD.
Besides that, there are three different displaying styles available and users could choose their ideal one. However, not just GPU info but FPS (Frame Per Second) in the game or other application could be displayed through LCD Edge View.
The LCD Edge View can also show customized content including text, pictures or even short GIF animations.Users could input the preferred text to the LCD, also set the font size, bold or italic. It also supports multi-language so users could input whatever type of text they want.
About the picture, LCD Edge View allows users to upload a JPEG file to it and AORUS RGB Fusion software will let users choose which region of the picture should be shown. The support of short GIF animations is the most interesting part.
Users can upload a short animation in terms of GIF to be shown on the LCD so they can easily build up a graphics card with their own style. All of the customizations above can be done via AORUS RGB Fusion software.
There’s something more interesting with LCD Edge View: The little CHIBI.CHIBI is a little falcon digitally living in the LCD Edge View and will grow up as more time users spend with their graphics card. Users could always check their little CHIBI through the LCD Edge View and watch it eat, sleep or fly around, which is quite interactive and interesting.
In conclusion, LCD Edge View can display a series of useful GPU information, customized text, pictures, and animations, allowing users to build up the graphics card with their own style. Users can also have more interaction with their card via the little CHIBI, the exclusive little digital falcon living inside the LCD Edge View, which brings more fun while playing with the graphics card.

The RTX 3090 is one beast of a GPU with plenty of capability and performance, but Colorful decided to take this GPU to another level with the iGame RTX 3090 Vulkan OC. This card packs a ton of cooling power under the hood, plus a good looking aesthetic that should work in a variety of PC cases. For the cherry on top, you get an LCD display to display pictures or monitor GPU sensor data.
Now for the centerpiece, that LCD screen. TechPowerUp dished the details on the screen; it measures 480x128 pixels and is located on the card"s side. The screen can be positioned to fit either horizontal or vertical GPU mounting positions. You can have GPU data displayed like GPU clock speed, temperature, and GPU load on the screen. Plus, if you can display your own pictures with text if you like.
Unfortunately, the card is not available for purchase at this time. However, reviews of the card are coming out as we speak, so we should see the RTX 3090 Vulkan hit shelves relatively soon, as long as the Ampere shortage doesn"t affect Colorful"s inventory.

When it comes to ultra-high-end graphics cards, manufacturers tend to start teasing them weeks if not months before actual availability, which to some degree steals the thunder when such boards become available. It is precisely what happened to Galax"s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Hall-of-Fame(opens in new tab) with a massive voltage regulating module and two 12-pin power connectors. In addition, the final version of the product got not only an enormous cooling system but also a substantial 4.3-inch LCD to monitor its parameters in real time.
Galax"s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF graphics card was designed from the ground up to be one of the industry"s fastest boards in this generation, with formidable performance out-of-box and some serious additional overclocking potential. To do so, the manufacturer equipped its board with a 24+4-phase VRM and two 12-pin power connectors. The combination can theoretically deliver up to 1,200W to the board to feed the full-fat GA102 graphics processor featuring 10,752 CUDA cores with enough power to run at up to a whopping 1,935 MHz (up from 1,860 MHz recommended by Nvidia) with One-click OC feature.
In addition to its out-of-box performance and a formidable cooling system, one of the key selling points of Galax"s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF is its 4.3-inch display. It features a 480 x 272 resolution that connects to a USB interface and works with Galax"s latest HOF software for overclocking. Besides displaying various helpful information, the display acts like a modding element that adds style to the system.
The board has an input power consumption of 516W, which Galax believes is the maximum it can safely cool down using its triple-fan triple-slot cooling system with an aluminum backplate. Those who want to feed the GPU more power and get higher clocks should wait for Galax"s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF OC Lab Edition, which will come with a water block and a custom XOC BIOS that can increase GPU and memory voltages to unprecedented values.
OC Lab Edition is aimed at extreme overclockers and will probably be available in extremely limited quantities. But even the "regular" Galax GeForce RTX 3090 Ti HOF is not a product for everyone. The product sells for ¥398,200 in Japan ($2,845 without VAT), according to Hermitage Akihabara(opens in new tab), which is significantly higher than Nvidia"s recommended price for its GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

NVIDIA released the GeForce RTX 3090, also known as the BFGPU or “big ferocious GPU“, back in 2020. Until today, the RTX 3090 is the fastest graphics card available in the market. Amongst the entire RTX 30 series graphics card, the RTX 3090 has a complete set of features. From a huge 24GB GDDR6X of VRAM to NVLink connector, and a whopping 10496 of CUDA cores. It’s currently the best graphics card there is until the RTX 3090 Ti becomes available in the market. Well, if the RTX 3080 Ti isn’t enough for you, below are some of the best RTX 3090 graphics cards in the market.
UPDATE: The RTX 3090 Ti is now available! I recommend that you get an RTX 3090 Ti instead of an RTX 3090. They perform better and they are currently selling below MSRP as of August 2022. Check out some of the
As you may be aware by now, all GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards are powered with the same 8nm GA102-300 GPU based on the Ampere architecture. All of its Graphics Processing Clusters are active, but one Texture Processing Cluster with two Streaming Multiprocessor is disabled. It has a total of 10496 CUDA cores, 328 TMUs, and 112 ROPs; just a few configs higher than the RTX 3080 Ti.
But the big difference lies with its memory size. The RTX 3090 has a large 24GB of GDDR6X memory, with a bandwidth of 936.2 GB/s running on a 384-bit memory interface. That’s more than enough for gaming purposes alone. The memory size is more useful in creative and professional use.
All the RTX 3090 graphics cards you see in the market, regardless of the manufacturer, have these features. The difference lies in the cooler design and PCB design. Some AIB advertises or highlights the boost clock speed of their graphics card. But at the end of the day, all of them will boost higher thanks to NVIDIA Boost technology. The graphics card only needs sufficient power and enough cooling to keep the GPU’s temperature at bay.
Below is a summary list of all the best RTX 3090 graphics cards mentioned in this list. It is in alphabetical order. After that, let’s segment them according to their unique features. This way, it would be much easier for you to choose which RTX 3090 is the best for your needs.
The RTX 3090 is not for purely gaming purposes only, and it does not offer the best price to performance amongst the RTX 30 series GPUs. Speaking of performance, it is roughly around 10%-15% faster than the RTX 3080, and around 3% to 5% faster than the RTX 3080 Ti. But if you are coming from an RTX 2080 Ti, the RTX 3090 does offer a substantial performance increase of around 40%-45%. So you might want to avoid the RTX 3090 if you plan to use the GPU for gaming only.
However, for some applications where the 24GB memory is necessary and if you need NVLink support, the RTX 3090 is currently the only graphics card with such features.
A liquid cooler, most of the time, trumps any air cooler. The EVGA RTX 3090 KINGPIN Hybrid Gaming and Aorus GeForce RTX 3090 Extreme WaterForce Edition features a hybrid cooling solution. The core component(s) is cooled by an AIO cooler, while other parts of the graphics card are cooled by an air cooler.
However, they are more expensive compared to air-cooled RTX 3090 cards. Unless you really want a liquid-cooled graphics card, most RTX 3090 with a tri-fan cooling system will offer anywhere from sufficient to excellent cooling performance.
Out of the box, the EVGA RTX 3090 KINGPIN Hybrid Gaming is the fastest out of the box. It has a boost clock speed of 1920MHz, which is higher than most RTX 3090 cards. But this is a liquid-cooled GPU. For air-cooled RTX 3090, the fastest is the Asus ROG Strix RTX 3090 OC Edition, MSI RTX 3090 SUPRIM X, and Aorus RTX 3090 Xtreme graphics cards.
Again, as I mentioned earlier if the graphics card has enough power and the GPU is sufficiently cooled, it will eventually boost higher. My MSI RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X can achieve around ~2,000MHz, which is higher than its boost clock speed, without additional tweaking or manual overclocking.
I think it depends on the user. Some people are okay to spend more on the design, looks, and aesthetics. Meanwhile, others would value the cheaper variant as long as it works properly. Remember, even the liquid-cooled RTX 3090 will not perform significantly better compared to the air-cooled RTX 3090.
It may have an advantage since it has a better cooling solution. But is the little performance improvement worth it for you, considering that you’ll have to spend significantly more? In my opinion, even the NVIDIA RTX 3090 Founders Edition is enough already.
I think for purely gaming purposes only, I would avoid the RTX 3090. I would rather get an RTX 3080 or RTX 3080 Ti depending on my screen resolution. But if you will be using the graphics card other than gaming only, for example, content creation, rendering, and other tasks or workload that would require a higher VRAM, I think it would be worth it.
The RTX 3090 graphics cards listed here are all excellent. I can’t think of any cons, except that are quite expensive. It’s really up to you which one would you prefer and based on your budget.
UPDATE: Now that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti are available, I recommend that you check out the best GeForce RTX 3090 Ti instead. The RTX 3090 Ti is a bit faster than the RTX 3090, and most of the RTX 3090 Ti are currently selling at MSRP or sometimes even a bit cheaper. Their prices aren’t even that far from the RTX 3090. Some retailers are selling the RTX 3090 at the same price or even more expensive than the faster RTX 3090 Ti. Crazy right? Go ahead and check them out here.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition is one of the best RTX 3090 in the market. In fact, most if not all of the RTX 30 series Founders Edition cards are excellent. Not only that it comes with the “base price”, but it’s also professional-looking, sleek, and clean. The flow-through design is excellent at cooling the GPU and other components. Not to mention, it does have a chunky heatsink and requires 3 PCI slots. As expected from a Founders Edition, it does feel premium on hand.
EVGA’s For The Win graphics cards are some of the best in the market. The GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming is another beast of a graphics card, with its high factory overclock settings and iCX3 cooling technology. Its thick heatsink is cooled by three fans and there is ARGB lighting on the front-side portion. There is no denying that EVGA makes some of the best graphics cards in the market. Although, the FTW3 edition is usually on the expensive side since it is EVGA’s top-of-the-line model, aside from KINGPIN Edition.
The ROG series is very popular amongst gamers and enthusiasts. Asus has the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming graphics card. And it is available in non-OC, OC, and White editions. There is also a Gundam Edition but that one is a (very) limited edition card. Unless you have a color preference (Black or White), I think even the non-OC variant is an excellent card. There’s only a minimal difference in the boost clock speed. And as I mentioned earlier, it will eventually boost higher if the GPU is running cool.
MSI’s SUPRIM X series is the company’s flagship design. I think it’s similar to EVGA’s FTW3 in a sense. The MSI RTX 3090 SUPRIM X features a beefy cooling solution, with its thick heatsink and TRI FROZR 2S cooling solution. You can check out our review of the RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X here. Although a different GPU, the cooler design and aesthetics are exactly the same. The RTX 3090 SUPRIM X also features a dual-BIOS system, 17-phase VRAM for the GPU, 4-phase for the memory, nice RGB lighting, and generally premium look and feel.
If you are looking for a cheaper SUPRIM X alternative, MSI has the GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio. It’s not as premium-looking compared to the SUPRIM X variant but it still features an excellent cooling solution with its Tri Frozr 2 cooling system. The RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio is an all-black graphics card with some RGB lighting accents on the front side corner and RGB lighting strips on the front cooler shroud. Its boost clock speed is slightly lower compared to that SUPIRM X, at 1785MHz, but it can still boost higher if the GPU is cool enough.
I have to admit, I was quite hesitant to add this one to the list of best RTX 3090 cards. But Gigabyte’s Aorus GeForce RTX 3090 Xtreme 24G graphics card is simply a “thicc-boy” graphics card. It’s even thicker than the RTX 3090 Founders Edition, at 70mm thick vs 61mm of the Founders Edition. On the bright side, this is the only graphics card here that has an “LCD Edge View”. It’s an LCD monitor that can display some GPU stats and other cool animation effects. We’ll if you are into flare and showing off, this could be a nice RTX 3090 graphics card for you.
Not a fan of RGB lighting? Don’t worry! There are RTX 3090 graphics cards that don’t have any RGB lighting or have very minimal logo lighting. Not only that these cards don’t have RGB lighting, or minimal lighting (logo only), they are also (usually) cheaper too compared to the cards listed above.
If you want a fast-running, silent operation, low operating temperature RTX 3090, and you mind spending more, these two liquid-cooled RTX 3090 would be your option. Except to get a little bit higher performance from these RTX 3090, especially the RTX 3090 KINGKIN Edition. But this is for people with deep pockets and money no object.
The KINGPIN Edition is EVGA’s flagship graphics card that features an insane PCB layout and circuitry. It’s basically not your ordinary graphics card. The RTX 3090 KINGPIN Hybrid Gaming is, if I am not mistaken, the fastest RTX 3090 in the market. This graphics card features a hybrid cooling solution, with the GPU and other core components being cooled with an Asetek 360 AIO cooler. It features 23-phase VRM, 12-layer PCB, 3 switchable onboard BIOS (normal/OC/LN2 modes), voltage headers, and it even comes with an OLED display.
If you don’t need the over-the-top features on the RTX 3090 KINGPIN Hybrid, and you simply want a water-cooled RTX 3090, Gigabyte has the Aorus GeForce RTX 3090 Xtreme WaterForce 24G. This graphics card is not clocked as fast as EVGA’s. Out of the box, its factory boost clock speed is only 1785MHz. But since it is water-cooled, the GPU will run cooler, and thus it will boost higher and longer thanks to its lower temps.
The Aorus RTX 3090 Xtreme Waterforce features RGB lighting, both on the card and on the radiator’s fans. Speaking of the radiator, its size is 240mm with two 120mm RGB fans. The entire graphics card is water-cooled, thanks to its large copper base plate. It also has 6 display outputs, three DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.1, and one HDMI 2.0.
Surprisingly, the Aorus RTX 3090 Xtreme Waterforce graphics card is not as expensive compared to the other RTX 3090 cards listed here, even the air-cooled ones.
And that’s about it. Which do you think is the best RTX 3090 graphics card for your use case? If you think the GeForce RTX 3090 is too expensive, well that’s because it is. Again, this isn’t a value-oriented product. If your purpose is primarily gaming, I recommend you check out the best RTX 3080 Ti or best RTX 3080 graphics cards instead.
On the AMD side, the current flagship is the Radeon RX 6900 XT. Its performance is comparable to an RTX 3080 to RTX 3080 Ti, depending on the game title. However, NVIDIA’s GPUs are still better when it comes to ray tracing and video encoding.

COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Vulcan has passthrough cooling and the LCD panel, Neptune uses liquid cooling, and lastly, the baseline NB EX comes with your standard triple-fan cooler design
NVIDIA has announced a new GPU that shouldn"t come as a surprise. We"ve been missing out on a Ti version of the RTX 3090, the current flagship GPU, and NVIDIA finally answered these cries. Aftermarket partners have been making the rounds with their new RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards and COLORFUL is yet another name to throw into the mix.
Today, the company rolled out three new GPUs. The COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Vulcan is the flagship best graphics card model with passthrough active cooling and a fancy LCD panel that can display temperature and other data. Next up is the COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Neptune, which utilizes liquid cooling.
Finally, there"s the COLORFUL GeForce RTX 3090 Ti NB EX, which is a more standardized graphics card that has a triple-fan cooler design with none of the highlight features found in the other two cards. Regardless of which RTX 3090 Ti you pick from COLORFUL, it"ll still have the same 10,752 CUDA cores, 78 RT and 320 Tensor teraflops, and 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM.
The range-topping Vulcan GPU has the aforementioned LCD that can even rotate 90-degrees for cases where the GPU can be installed vertically. Because of the sheer size and weight of the card, COLORFUL fitted an additional support frame to help prevent sagging or warping.

With the announcement of the NVIDIA RTX 30, graphics card MANUFACTURERS have followed suit with their custom models. In this way, we have been able to know how the models of brands such as Colorful, PNY, GIGABYTE, ASUS, ZOTAC, Gainward, INNO3D, EVGA or MSI will be.
Yesterday was announced the new NVIDIA Ampere architecture, focusing this event on the RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090, which replaces the Ti version. We only saw the Founder’s Edition models, so many people are waiting to see what custom models the most famous assemblers will bring out. You will not have to wait long, I will show you each and every one of them.
PNY is one of the best-known assemblers of NVIDIA graphics cards, so they show us their custom models of the RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070. The 3 GPUs would fit into the XLR8 Gaming gamut, which is characterized by offering overclock factory and RGB EPIC-X lighting on your graphics cards.
As for Colorful Technology Company Limited, they have presented their line of models consisting of the RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070. It is aimed at the most demanding enthusiasts, which is why they wanted to introduce the iGame Center, a software that integrates iGame Zone and iGame Dynamik Light in one application.
Starting with Vulcan, the NVIDIA RTX 30 Series belonging to this gamut will come with an LCD screen with a size of 480mm x 120mm. This screen can be rotated 90 degrees to make it visible when we have the graphics card mounted. On this screen you can display the GPU temperature, images, GIFs and much more. Also, Vulcan models will have 3 fans
The characteristic note of this gamut is in the liquid cooling system that it brings with it in order to have a silent GPU. This kit is connected by PCI-Express and has RGB lighting in the center, which can be configured from the iGame Center software. It seems that Colorful has focused on the iGame GeForce RTX 3080 Neptune, as it would come with a full water block.
The COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 30 Series Ultra models are aimed at gaming lovers who enjoy their video games as a lifestyle. Also, we will have 3 fans on the graphics cards, but not the same size: 2 of 90 mm and one of 80 mm.
Finally, we have another gamut within the COLORFUL models, which is this NB line. Its differentiating notes go through an improved 3-fan structure for better cooling in the COLORFUL GeForce RTX 3080 NB.
The assembler INNO3D has taken the opportunity to show us 4 models of what will be his next graphics cards. The outstanding novelties are the improved fans present in its iCHILL X4 and X3, Gaming X3 and TWIN X2 OC gamuts, differentiating models with 3 and 2 fans. Specifically, the models they offer are the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and the RTX 3070.
This line of GPUs is composed of the 3 new NVIDIA RTX 30 with the aim of offering the best cooling solution and the best factory overclocking. The idea of INNO3D has been for the user to install the graphics card and start playing without having to configure anything.
One of the best assemblers in terms of value for money is ZOTAC, which has introduced us to its AMP Extreme, Trinity and Twin Edge Debut gamuts. Its models are the 3 protagonists of today: the RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070.
EVGA is one of the brands that brings the best quality to the graphics card sector, a legacy that has wanted to continue with the RTX 3090, 3080 and 3070. In their case, they have not released extra gamuts, but they present their three models in a differentiated manner. Simply highlight its iCX3 refrigeration technology, which brings the following novelties:
We started with the Gainward model, which has already been leaked and we echoed it. This is the Phoenix gamut, which will feature 4 GPUs in total: 2 Phoenix «GS» and 2 «Phoenix». Specifically, they would come an RTX 3080 and an RTX 3090 that would be the Phoenix "GS", while another 2 would be the "Phoenix" to dry.
Both NVIDIA RTX 30s will come factory-overclocked in the Gainward "Golden Sample" version, which aims to provide extra FPS for gaming enthusiasts and thus play at maximum performance in 4K. The differences between the 4 graphics cards are only marked by the boost frequency.
MSI"s RTX 30 Series graphics cards are the best on the market, proof of this are their GAMING and VENTUS gamuts. In their case, MSI has revealed their graphics cards with certain details, hiding their frequencies until their release date. The models that we will see in these gamuts are the RTX 3090, 3080 and 3070, like most assemblers.
Many of you were waiting for ASUS graphics cards, known for their aesthetics and great performance. We will have RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 in their very different gamuts.
TUF never disappoints with its manufacturing process and its military certifications. Your NVIDIA RTX 30 will star in a dissipation characterized by having 3 fans that come with systems to prevent them from vibrating when they rotate at high revolutions.
ASUS Dual RTX 30 NVIDIAASUS DUAL stands for the price-quality ratio that many users seek. In this sense, they have focused on the RTX 3070, which is equipped with 2 fans, but not worse than the rest of the gamuts. We continue to see Auto-Extreme technology in this gamut, which is characterized by offering a product that you just have to install and enjoy.

NVIDIA G-SYNC Displays with Reflex have the world’s first and only system latency measurement tool that detect clicks coming from Reflex compatible mice and measure the time for the resulting pixels (gun muzzle flash) to change on screen. Nvidia’s Ampere-based RTX 30 series graphics card are still the talk of the town as its brand partners are just beginning to launch their products. Colorful just went all-out in their RTX 30 series product launch with five product series for the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3070.
The Colorful iGame Vulcan series is distinctively known for its enormous LCD display. The RTX 30 series’ Vulcan series now has an upgraded display with a 480mm x 120mm screen and can be flipped 90° for vertical mounting compatibility. The LCD can display custom JPG images, GIFs, or hardware monitoring info.
Colorful is the first brand to release an RTX 30 series GPU that uses a custom liquid cooling solution. The Colorful iGame Nepture uses the brand’s third-gen liquid cooling system featuring a 240mm radiator. The Neptune series is also outfitted with RGB lighting on the water block that’s customizable via the iGame Center app.
The Color iGame Advanced series is geared toward the mainstream line with a more reasonable cooling solution without the fancy LCD display. The Advance series still has RGB lighting, now located on the center cooling fan. Advanced series RTX 30 graphics cards come with a toolbox that has a screwdriver and a VGA holder.
Colorful’s RTX 30 Ultra series sports a fresh new design with chromatic accents across the cooling shroud. This three-slot form factor uses one 80mm fan on the center and two 90mm fans to cool the latest Ampere GPUs.
The Colorful iGame NB series is the brands budget product stack but it still features a triple-fan design, an upgrade over the RTX 20’s dual fan shroud.
