What we are going to deliver is an industrial open frame monitor, in other words a “bare bones” display sans housing or bezel. These types of displays are meant for integration into kiosks, equipment, or other enclosures. The major advantage to an open frame monitor is that the external design will not change for some time. Therefore, the enclosure it is built into will not need to change for many years.

Aspect ratio - The ratio of the width of the display to the height. Current televisions are 16:9, Old televisions are 4:3 – 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3 are the most popular. Every other aspect ratio is less popular, but any aspect ratio can be created by resizing a panel.

In general, the better the viewing angle, the more expensive the resulting display. Typical are 150x140, 170x170 and 179x179. Or more commonly wide viewing angle or standard viewing angle.

Brightness or Luminance - It is the level of light emitted by an LCD display monitor. Luminance is reported in nits or cd/m2. They are actually the same thing.  This matters for indoor and outdoor viewing and also if you want to draw people toward the display for advertising. Typical indoor brightness is 150 nits, indoor advertising is 300, bright indoor advertising is 700 and outdoor panels are 1000+

This update applies to all housing, employment, and credit ads serving in the United States and Canada. The focus of the enforcement will be on ad target geo location and not based on advertiser’s billing or physical location.

We review both the ad text and landing page (for ads with image or video components, such as Display and YouTube ads, we also consider the visual elements of the ad). If a significant portion of the landing page is in scope, the ad could be flagged for the policy despite the ad itself not containing elements related to housing, employment, or credit.

There may be scenarios where this is possible, but we can never guarantee edits will or will not place you out of scope of the policy as we review both the ad and the landing page the ad drives to as part of the creative labeling. If the landing page contains content related to housing, employment, or credit the ad could remain in scope of the policy despite nothing in the ad being related.
