The MPC2500XLCD Large ( 240 x 128 ) LCD screen doubles the screen size of the MPC2500. The XLCD screen utilizes the mounting points of the original factory LCD. This new LCD screen comes mounted in the plastic holder surround and easily drops in the place of the old one. With a simple install of the included operating system update, you upgrade to a much larger LCD screen. The LCD screen is available in two colors (White and Blue), which can also be inverted (see pictures) using a function in the JJ OS128 operating system included for free. The operating system allows this larger LCD screen to utilize the full capabilities of the MPC2500 with a larger overall LCD screen footprint.

You will need to use the brass grommets from your old LCD screen when installing the XLCD.

If your phone has some problems after installed. For example, cannot turn on, no touch, no home button function, flashing, lines on screen etc., please follow these steps:1. Reinstall all flex cables from the motherboard and double check all flex cable is in good condition.

2. Restart your phone: press home button and power button simultaneously till the phone shut down, after few mins, turn the phone on. Or reconnect your battery.If the Ear Speaker, Front Camera or Proximity Sensor is not working after install new screen, please change them from your old screen to new screen. If the Home Button or the finger print ID is not working as well, please change the lcd metal back plate with long flex cable from your old screen to the new screen. Also please contact seller, we will provide a part refund for wasting your time.

After watching the associated video, I decided to order this screen replacement kit. I was not disappointed. It is well thought out and as Chinese products go, well documented.

This was not my first screen repair of a phone and to be honest I’m glad it wasn’t as even with the installation video and instructions there were a few times I had to improvise.

But on completion of my screen swap the results were fantastic. Nice vivid screen and no dead spots even to very edges. Face recognition works perfectly.

#2 As another reviewer mentioned getting the screen off is not as easy as video indicates. Even with the heat gun the provided picks simply would not budge the screen. I ended up carefully using the tip of an exacto knife to get one corner lifted ( if you do this you MUST be very careful to not go in to far and also to not go anywhere near optics or cables. I used bottom right corner ) and then the provided pick easily slipped in and I worked it around the screen.

#5 IMPORTANT. I Did the trial assembly as recommended and the phone did not turn on. According to instructions I had the battery at 25%. I followed the recommened procedures of cleaning and reinstalling cables and still nothing. I tried reinstalling original screen to see if perhaps I got a bad unit but this failed. I was about to give up hope when prior experience with Nicad batteries led my to try plugging the phone into the charger as I pressed the on button and voila! she fired right up!

When inspecting a screen, remove any screen protectors and cases first. Tilt the device under good lighting conditions and inspect it at multiple angles. Screen damage includes hairline cracks that are difficult to see.

Wearables like Apple & Samsung watches often don"t have visible LDIs. Check for moisture under the display screen, as well as corrosion, discoloration, and fuzzy growth on the charging connection.

If the device does not fully turn on and load the home screen or if it cannot stay on without being connected to a charger, it"s considered not able to turn on.

The LCD glass on the display is manufactured to rigorous specifications and standards and will not typically crack or break on its own under normal use. In general, cracked, or broken glass is considered accidental damage and is not covered under the standard warranty.

Internal cracks typically occur due to excessive force on the screen. This can be the result of some object hitting the screen, a drop, attempting to close the lid while an object is on the keypad area, or even holding the laptop by its screen.

Spots typically occur due to an external force hitting the screen causing damage to the LCD panel"s backlight assembly. While the top layer did not crack or break, the underlying area was compressed and damaged causing this effect.

Fitting a new display that costs the same as a replacement phone is pointless. However, if replacing the mobile phone screen is closer to $15, it makes sense to have a go yourself.

The most obvious location for a replacement display is eBay. Simply searching for the mobile phone model and the word display will turn up the required parts. Just remember to shop safely when using eBay.

Amazon is also a resource for replacement screens, but you should also consider a general Google search as this will turn up specialist suppliers who might be able to provide a lower price.

Alternatively, a replacement display kit that includes half the phone"s body will require components being transferred from the old body into the replacement.

These tools are included to remove the case and unscrew any components that obstruct replacing the display. For example, a mobile phone will have Torx screws under the battery cover that will need removing before you gently prize the case apart.

Note that spending money on these tools isn"t totally necessary. Sanding off the ends of a couple of plastic bicycle wheel levers will produce usable alternatives---otherwise, they can be sourced relatively cheaply.

Narrow rolls of replacement adhesive can be bought online. Have some double-sided sticky tape laying around? Cut this into narrow 1 mm slivers, then apply the adhesive to the phone"s frame, rather than the glass.

The moment of truth: does the new screen work? Remember, a touchscreen display has two purposes: touch interaction, and displaying the phone"s operating system.

However, it isn"t always plain sailing. I"ve fitted a replacement display that caused the phone to overheat. Therefore, it is important to buy components from reputable sellers, and ensure you"re buying the right parts for your phone.

Most importantly, don"t walk into performing such a repair without some device-specific research first. Video guides are particularly useful; once you"re ready, get hold of the right tools and surprise yourself!

However, if the digitizer or LCD is also damaged during a fall, that screen no longer carries value because it cannot be refurbished. Repair shops cannot sell broken LCDs to refurbishing companies; therefore, they cannot offset the cost of an LCD repair. That is why repair stores often charge a little extra if there is damage to the LCD or digitizer, to make up for that loss. If your phone or tablet’s glass is shattered there will be cracks or chips on the screen itself. If it is just the glass that is damaged, the device may still function and you may be able to use it normally. If this is the case, it is likely that only the glass needs to be replaced. To prevent further damage to your device it is best to get it repaired quickly. For example, if liquids seep through the cracks it could cause permanent damage to the LCD.

Many people may continue to use their touchscreen with shattered glass and delay fixing the glass on their devices; however, if the touchscreen isn’t responsive, it could be a sign of more significant damage to the device’s digitizer which is integrated with the LCD screen.

A pixelated screen can indicate LCD damage. This would look like a patch of multicolored dots, a line or lines of discoloration, or a screen with rainbow colors. For many people, these colors are an easy way to know that their LCD is broken and that they should get it repaired.

Dropping your phone isn’t the only reason you’ll end up with a pixelated screen. Over time, your screen’s LCD may break down through regular use. This happens to other devices aside from your smartphone or tablet. Pixelation can happen to TVs and computers, too. People typically decide to buy a new device when this happens. Fortunately, with an LCD repair, you can fix the device without needing to replace it.

A black screen or black spots on your smartphone or tablet is an indication of a damaged LCD. Often with a bad LCD, a phone may still turn on and make noises, but there is no clear picture. This does not necessarily mean any other part of the phone is damaged and a simple screen replacement will get it functioning again.
