The screen/digitiser and LCD on these devices are a fused unit. Basically they are glued together with absolute precision by the manufacturers. While it is technically possible to separate the Digitiser and LCD, the possibility of damaging the LCD and the care and time required do not make it an economically viable repair.

The 8-inch, 1280-by-800-pixel LCD is pretty much standard and like most Samsung displays, it produces very sharp and bright pixels. Its buttons are configured just like on the Note 3 and it has an IR-emitter, micro-SD card slot and surprisingly, a micro-USB port. Also on board are Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS but no NFC.

The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is available in WiFi-only, WiFi with an IR Blaster depending on region, 3G & Wi-Fi, and 4G/LTE (selected countries) variants. Internal storage ranges from 8 GB to 32 GB, depending on the model, with a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 64GB). It has a 7-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, and both front- and rear-facing cameras.
