It is the best bike I have ever seen. One must look forward to purchasing the new RC 390. Complaints from older versions are revised in the new version like an adjustable handle so it can become a sports tourer as well as give a track-focused committed riding position. Complimenting a softer seat, bigger fuel tank for long range, 3-4kgs lighter than before so better fuel economy. Curved radiator for engine heat problem, bigger air box, Added safety with bigger brakes and cornering ABS, and lastly dukes TFT display. This is a whole package for track enthusiasts who also wanted every day its mileage is up to 28kmpl. Overall, price and performance-wise, this is the best in their class as RC 390 always was.

To meet the ever-increasing hype for the latest model version of the RC 390, KTM has ensured that the bike resolves all the issues from the previous models to create an ergonomically sound and magnificent entry-level supersport. Here’s a glimpse at the 2022 KTM RC 390.
KTM redesigned the RC range for 2022 and gave it a broader look. The streamlined shape of the bike is gone, and with a fish-like body, the RC 390 has become hunkier. KTM discontinued the extended windshield, dual headlight set-up, and pointed front-fairing. They are replaced by integrated turn signals, single-unit headlamps, and fascia. The cutting-edge fairing comes without the under-belly panel, which exposes the exhaust plumping for a different outlook.
Sporting a larger fuel tank, the RC 390 has revised the subframes and clip-on handlebars. The RC 390 has flatter split seats with extra padding and a sportier rider perch for the latest iteration. The look for the 2022 RC 390 is inspired by the KTM Red Bull MotoGP and uses the same shades of blue and orange for the quirkiness. Continental ContiRoad sport touring tires are featured on the 2022 RC 390, also used for all the new RC models.
KTM is replacing the LCD with a full-color TFT display, similar to the RC Duke 390. Navigation functionality and Bluetooth connectivity will also be offered with the new bike. The headlamp and taillamp will also feature a full-LED display for safer maneuvering. While the gearbox has no changes, there is a significant increase in the size of ratios. KTM has changed the heat management system that now includes a dual-cooling fan set-up in the radiator to offer optimum temperature.
As the changes offer the maximum power to the wheel, the RC 390 will produce 43 HP and 25.8 lb-ft of torque. For the 2022 model, KTM has revamped the chassis for an ergonomic riding experience. RIDE-BY-WIRE: It"s the guarantee of a smooth throttle response, more than simply the absence of a throttle cable. The KTM 390 DUKE"s ride-by-wire ensures perfect delivery of the readily available and gut-wrenching torque. It also electronically translates the throttle commands of the rider into throttle valve positions, perfectly suited to the riding conditions, making this the perfect crossover bike for both road and circuit riding.
CYLINDER HEAD: Just like the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R, the four valves in the cylinder head of the KTM 390 DUKE are actuated by two overhead camshafts and ultra-hard, carbon coated cam followers. The result is an ultra-reliable, long-lasting engine that produces next-level power.
INJECTION: The intricate engine design, state-of-the-art injection electronics and close-ratio, 6-speed transmission not only help the KTM 390 DUKE to achieve white-knuckle performance, but also extremely low fuel consumption. At the same time, thanks to the regulated catalytic converter, it produces minimal emissions, even when riding at full throttle.
A2 LICENSE: The KTM 390 DUKE matches all the A2 driver´s license requirements and thanks to its high power-to-weight ratio, it’s one of the most dynamic options out there for new riders.
EXHAUST: The KTM 390 DUKE’s lightweight and precision-crafted exhaust system comprises of a side exhaust, link pipe and silencer. The three-chamber silencer has been positioned close to the bike’s overall center of gravity, improving balance and handling, whilst also delivering smooth, instant and beast-like power. Oh, and it looks angry as hell too.
The 390 Duke in its BS6 form gets a bi-directional quick shifter. Apart from these, there are no changes in cycle parts, design, and mechanicals. The bike is powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 43hp and 37Nm mated to a bi-directional quick-shifter and slipper clutch-enabled 6-speed transmission. The 390 Duke comes equipped with a 320mm disc at the front and 230mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. It gets a host of features such as an LED headlamp, switchable ABS and color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The BS6 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2.53 lakh, ex-showroom.
If you are looking for a pint-sized adventure-bike, and the BMW G310GS doesn’t slick your hair back, then the KTM 390 Adventure is surely something you have been following.
A $400 premium over the BMW, the KTM marketing team promises a bit more off-road capability from its 373cc motorcycle, though one has to be reserved with their expectations with the budget-focused 390 line.
That being said, you don’t have to swing a leg over the KTM to see that you are getting more features for your dollar though when compared to the BMW, especially as the KTM 390 Adventure boasts IMU-powered traction control and cornering ABS.
More power, more torque, more features, and a similar weight…all for $400 more – that makes the KTM 390 Adventure an intriguing offer for American riders, though we still think the KTM 790 Adventure hits the sweet spot on the price per performance scale.
KTM"s compact adventurer, the 390 Adventure is an entry-level adventure bike from the Austrian brand. Made in the Philippines, this adventure-tourer carries the sporty DNA of the 390 Duke and merges it with the kit that suits long rides and some light trails. It brings KTM"s "Ready to Race" attitude with more versatile ergonomics, a light chassis for its segment, and innovative technology to adapt this bike to many conditions.
Equipped with the tried-and-tested 373cc single-cylinder engine, the 390 Adventure makes a modest 43 hp and 37 Nm of torque. Its engine is very punchy and can even go toe-to-toe with some multi-cylinder motorcycles that hover around 400 ccs in displacement. On top of that, and helping to keep your inputs smooth is a slipper clutch which will allow smooth downshifts and peace of mind from rear-wheel hop. Also on that "Ready to Race" mentality, KTM equips its engine with the innovative "Ride-by-Wire" technology which helps with the power delivery and smoothness thereby maximizing the power from the big single. All of this is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The frame of the 390 Adventure is similar to the KTM 405 Rally. Featuring the brand"s signature trellis frame, it serves as the backbone for this compact adventurer and it also comes in two parts. Damping duties are brought about by adjustable WP APEX suspension. Coming in at a massive 43 mm in diameter, the front forks are not just robust, they also come with 170 mm of travel and adjustable compression damping and rebound. Meanwhile, the rear features 177 mm of travel and is adjustable with spring preload and rebound damping as well to fine-tune the bike to different conditions or for more comfort over long distances.
Even with a seat height of 855 mm the 390 Adventure does well to be more rider-friendly with its narrow seat width. Also covering this part of the bike is a grippy, yet comfortable foam and upholstery that ensures that the rider and possibly his pillion, stays comfortable. Also a carry-over from the Duke models, are the footpegs that are slightly angled, but widened to give riders a sure-footed perch to stand on or place their feet for long periods of time. Other features include a windshield, a powerful LED headlight, a bright and clear 5-inch TFT display, and rider assist features such as Motorcycle Traction Control, Offroad ABS, Cornering ABS, and the KTM My Ride system.
KTM India has finally listed the 2022 RC 390 on its official website, along with the specifications of the motorcycle as well as the price, hinting that a launch is imminent. The new-gen RC 390 has been listed at a base price of Rs 3,13,922 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which makes it around Rs 37,000 more expensive than the model it is set to replace.
The biggest change over the outgoing model is the design, with the 2022 RC 390 featuring a slightly controversial face with a large LED headlamp placed inside the new front fairing, surrounded by LED DRLs-cum-indicators on either side. The RC 390 also gets new fairings, a bigger visor, new mirrors, a slightly more sculpted and bigger 13.7-litre fuel tank, new split seats, as well as brand-new sporty-looking alloy wheels. The new RC 390 will be available in two paint schemes at launch - KTM Factory Racing Blue and KTM Electronic Orange.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 is built on a tubular split-trellis frame with a newly engineered bolt-on subframe. Powering the bike is the same 373 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine as before. The new-gen RC 390 has 153 mm of ground clearance and weighs in at 172 kg. The seat is set at a height of 835 mm. Moreover, the motorcycle also gets a TFT multi-function display like the 390 Duke, along with traction control, cornering ABS, quickshifter, and Supermoto ABS. Do note that KTM is yet to reveal the exact India launch date of the 2022 RC 390, however, we expect it to happen very soon now that the new motorcycle has made it to the brand"s website.
