I had to first edit the config.txt on my desktop computer to force the HDMI output and get a picture on that screen. Just uncomment hdmi_force_hotplug=1.

Then I had to upgrade the system to get the full resolution and the touch to work without having to install any driver nor edit a single config file. I wish there was a pen included in the package as it is sometimes tricky to be precise on such a small screen on high resolution. One of the brass bolt was not threaded which does not help...

Edit June 21st, 2019: after some time playing around with this screen, I decided to find a productive use for it and use it as a touch screen for my 3D printer. It never worked because it sucks too much power through USB and if I power it with an external power source, touch is not working anymore. I have tried many USB power supply even a 8A and still under voltage are being reported.
