A versatile battery charger for rechargeable Lithium and NM Ni-Cad batteries. Very good features for the price point. Status screen provides appropriate information during charge cycle. Switchable charge power is handy if fast charge needed. I prefer slow charge setting for deeper charge and less stress to the battery Unit comes with USB charge cable. Unit is powered by standard 5-vdc USB charger (Not Supplied). Unit is being used to charge mostly 18650 lithium batteries for flashlights and other small power tools. Very nice charger, compact, with two bays that can be used separately for several types of batteries, powered using any typical USB power supply with a micro USB plug. Will display the type of battery identified, battery voltage, charging current, running total of mAh delivered ("charging capacity"), and battery internal resistance (IR) in milli-ohms. Can also be used in reverse to supply power from batteries to an external device. I used the IR measure to sort through a bunch of old NiMH batteries and retire ones that looked charged but would not really deliver useful power, very helpful. Have not used it to revive any deeply discharged batteries so cannot say anything about that feature.

For how absolutely cheap it is, this things is pretty great. It was able re-activate batteries that hadn"t seen a charger in over 8 years with some patience and re-seating. Those are its only real quirks: if it gives you trouble, just re-seat both batteries and be patient. Its OK if its all automatic. Although I"m only on day 5 of using this thing on the daily, it so far has been very decent. The battery bank function is definitely a plus, even if it only uses one of the two cells at a time. If I had to wish for more, I"d wish for a discharge function, and get rid of the counter intuitive CCR meter.

This was the perfect bay charger for me! It fits all my different sized batteries. Im no expert on this stuff, but I love that i can see how full the charge on my batteries are. Even my boyfriend is a little jealous ;)

Plenty of good information while charging and allows user to charge at a lower rate to preserve the battery. Charges many different batteries and types also. Plus you can still charge your cell phone at the same time!

I didn"t know what to buy when I looked into chargers and asked Redditors for recommendation. One dude gave the link for this one and now I am forever indebted to that guy. I love this charger. I just wished it came with a brick but I have bunch of iPhone chargers around the house. You won"t regret buying this. This can also be a portable charger with 2 26650 in it. I just purchased another 26650 so I also have a spare for my Emisar D4SV2.

I bought this charger on sale from 18650 Battery Store and it appears to work exactly as described, I"m very pleased. The charger was slightly discounted as it was on sale. The website experience and the service, shipping, etc., was quick. Overall all excellent experience!

After several years of vaping on internal battery mods, I"m finally venturing into removable batteries. After using this charger a couple of weeks, it does the job just fine. Here are my gripes: 1) I REALLY wish the readings on the LCD screen were larger. 2) The "virtual dial" readout design strikes me as very lame. It uses up a lot of screen space that could have been better dedicated to making the readings more...uh, readable. 3) There is no way to manually set the Amperage when charging a single cell. It just defaults to 2 Amps. TIP: When charging two batteries at a time positioning the batteries in adjacent slots they will charge at 1 Amp, while in non-adjacent slots they will charge at .5 Amp. Why is this not documented in the user manual or on the XTAR website?! 4) The design decision to use micro USB for the power connector seems questionable, since they are so fragile. 5) The internal resistance readings are inconsistent. Sometimes I get a reading, sometimes not.

Good charger,only thing that was disappointment was there was to charger box so I had to buy one for 6$ from somewhere else, 3.0 charger for fast charging.

I like this charger to be able to analyze the batteries I charge. It gives me a heads up on older batteries as to life left in the units. sometimes I can safely discharge the units and recharge to a better life again. Very happy with it. it does require a more powerful USB power supply to charge all 4 batteries. I will take all types of rechargeable battery sizes except 20700/21700 protected batteries.

Only used it a few times since I received it but it works as advertised . I love the LCD readout. All the info is right there. Battery Voltage, Charging Current, Resistance, Power, Capacity, it"s all there. The one thing I think it needs is a permanent plug for a wall outlet . The USB plugs tend to loosen over time. Other then the plug issue , which wasn"t a deal breaker, I like this charger. I purchased it for a reasonable price($16.99). I also received it 2 days after my old charger stopped working. So far I recommend this charger. If I find anything bad with this charger I will update this review. USB

It is a little different than I am used to, but once you use it a few times it is really worth getting. I like all of the many functions it has. A must have for anyone that is a serious battery fanatic. Best part is it takes 21700 and 26650

Great charger! I use several other chargers as well, the SKYRC imax B6AC ver2, the Nitecore SC4, the LiitoKala Li500s, and a home made 10 bay charger using TP4056 modules. They all have very useful features but I really like the GRADING mode of the XTAR which charges the batteries fully and then discharges and recharges them giving you a good data point on capacity, IR, and voltage with minimal effort.

Doesn"t come with a USB plug adapter. Most common ones will not allow full power charging with more than 2 batteries. The inner two slots are a bit tight to remove without removing the outer batteries. Functionality it has lots of the options you want to keep the batteries working as long as possible.

Great charger. Has the ability to charge one battery at 3 amps as long as you have an adapter that supplies enough power to it. I didn"t realize when purchasing it that it doesn"t come with a wall adapter and that it will not charge at the highest charging rates only if you use it with a wall adapter that is Quick Charge 3.0 rated. So might want to make sure you have one or get one before you buy it. I did have one and it does charge one battery at 3 amps with it.

Buy a good AC/USB converter and this will work great off your AC outlet. Then you have the versatility of having other USB sources from which it can be powered. I want to get a solar USB panel for this and other things USB that I have. So far, I have been using this for a couple days to charge 18650"s and I"ve had no problems at this point. To me this type of charger, whether this one or one of the Nitecore chargers, is essential for charging safety and efficiency of Lithium Ion batteries. Put this with a good set of properly protected Li-Ion cells and you should have a safe and highly efficient power system for your flashlight or other Li-Ion-powerd devices.
