volvo 2014 tft display manufacturer
Used TFT clocks DIM from S/V60, XC60, S80II, XC/V70III made in the years 2014 to 2017 (the unit from V40 series can only be used in V40 cars - it has different mechanical shape than x60, x70, x80)
make sure that you located the TFT DIM that matches the transmission type of the target car - Automatic (PRND display) or Manual (+ Gear -) on the right side of the display. Diesel/petrol fuel type of the donor car does NOT matter.
2pcs original Volvo terminals for repair (P/N 30656697) or 2 used terminals from a white DIM Volvo connector which is a standard for all Volvos starting from 2005
Then press DECODE CEM. We must warn you this process can take up to 24 hours(but on average it usually does not take more than 12 hours). During the whole process you can interrupt the decoding process and continue later. If you do the CEM PIN decoding then you no longer need to do it again. Thanks to this you can also make other changes in the vehicle configuration including the TFT retrofit. After this process is done you will receive an email to the account you put in in the beginning.
Then choose CAR CONFIGURATION and then “Car configuration wizard”. Then you only need to choose the “TFT retrofit” wizard. Make sure DIM is connected.
2 new fixing wires (Volvo P/N 30656697 or used) must be connected to position 7 and 8 to the white DIM connector. Keep plugging in the wires into the “body” of the connector until you can hear them click properly. Then you just place and click in the blue thingy to its place. If the wires do not sit they are supposed to the blue thingy will not stick.
Connect DiCE again, turn the ignition key to position II and open VDASH again on your computer. Go to “Car configuration wizard” and choose TFT retrofit again.
VDASH will begin to look for the newly connected TFT DIM. If all wires are correctly plugged in, the update process will begin. If not then check the connecting of the wires again using the multimeter.
Your vehicle will restart itself many times during the process and at the end you will see a picture of the vehicle, the state of fuel and more. At the very beginning the incorrect measures can be displayed, but after a short trial run it should be fixed. The kilometres will also automatically reappear.
You can change and move the clock motivesonly when the engine is running (this does not have any specific explanation). The designated motive is Elegance(grey or brown). It is possible to reprogramme this motive to a blue version “R-design” (using car configuration > advanced settings > Advanced TFT DIM settings > Screen Skins > DIM: R-design menu), motives Ecoand Powerremain unchanged.
1. Temporarily disconnect new, already connected cables from the white DIM connector, and connect the original ones2. Start up the engine (SCL the steering lock should loosen up)3. While the engine is on disconnect the original DIM connector and reconnect TFT DIM4. Turn the engine off and lock it5. SCL will not turn on again (unless you connect the original pack). This will save you shipping costs, as SCL becomes used with time, but not yours!
With high resolution digital instrumentation, you can adapt your car"s instrumentation layout and interface according to your preferences. The 8" active TFT screen (Thin Film Transistor) gives the interaction between car and driver a new dimension. The instrumentation layout can be switched between three different themes; Elegance, Eco and Performance. Elegance produces amber coloured background lighting and the speedometer in the center gauge. Along with an illuminated indicator this makes for easy and pleasant reading. A gearshift indicator helps you drive as energy efficiently as possible with the manual gearbox. Eco has a similar instrumentation layout to Elegance but has green background lighting for a more environmentally inspired feel. An Eco gauge on the left shows your fuel consumption in real-time and average fuel consumption over the last few minutes. The Eco gauge helps you to drive as fuel efficiently as possible. Performance has an uncompromisingly sporty look with red background lighting. The tachometer appears in the center gauge and a digital speedometer appears in the center of the display, which reinforces your sense of control. On the right is a power meter that tells you how much power is available and how much is used at that actual time. Technical DataAdvantages8" high resolution TFT screen.
I own a similar age V60 SE Lux Nav. For me the TFT display, and being an SE Lux Nav were musts. The xenons really are as good as people say. Brilliant at night and I would say better than the LEDs on a 1 year old 3 series hire car I had a few weeks back.
The TFT display for me made it feel more advanced, a nicer place to be and gave more adaptability and information such as satnav guidance as mentioned before. The analogue dual really did look very cheap on the Business Edition I test drove, didnt like it at all.
As part of the largest refresh in Volvo history, the S60 receives significant changes for 2014 including dramatic new front styling that accelerates its sporty character, interior upgrades that make it even more rewarding and comfortable to drive, newly available leading-edge safety technologies and a wide spectrum of equipment enhancements that make it an even stronger value.
In keeping with its character as the sportiest and most dynamic Volvo ever, the S60 is the first Volvo carline to receive paddle shifters. Standard on T6 AWD and R-Design models and available on T5, paddle shifters let the driver shift manually with both hands on the steering wheel. All models also receive a new shift knob for the floor shifter with piano black background and illuminated symbols for increased visibility in low light.
All-new instrument clusters help the driver stay informed of the S60"s dynamic capabilities. The base T5 receives a contemporary analog cluster. A new adaptive digital display is standard on T5 Premier, Premier Plus and Platinum trim levels plus all T6 AWD and R-Design models. The easy-to-read Thin Film Transistor (TFT) design allows drivers to select from three different themes:
Performance has red background illumination for a more dynamic look. A tachometer replaces the speedometer while vehicle speed is shown digitally. The right display includes a power meter gauge that informs the driver how much power is available and how much is being used at any given moment.
Volvo"s long-standing tradition for providing supportive and comfortable seats to help reduce fatigue on long drives continues for 2014 with new design sport seats, standard on T6 AWD and available on T5 with the optional Sport Package. As the perfect addition to the in-command feel of a true driver"s car, these seats provide added side support from the thighs to the shoulders to help keep the driver firmly in position in quick corners.
New standard features for the S60 T5 base model include 17-inch Pandora alloy wheels. The Premier trim level gains 17-inch Sadia alloys, bright side window trim and adaptive digital TFT display. Premier Plus receives a rear park assist camera, grocery bag holder in the trunk and a quick-fold front passenger seat. Power-retracting, auto-dimming outside mirrors and cabin accent lighting are now included on the Platinum trim. A new optional 18-inch Sport Package for T5 features sport seats, paddle shifters, 18-inch Titania alloy wheels and Dynamic Chassis.
The S60 T5"s standard 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine delivers an excellent balance of performance and economy with 250 horsepower and 266 lb.-ft. of torque. Volvo"s All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction is optional. Providing the best possible grip in all situations - on wet, slippery or completely dry roads - All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction can be added to any S60 T5 as a stand-alone $2,000 option.
All S60s can be enhanced with high-tech features via the Platinum trim level. This includes the Volvo Premium Sound System with Dolby® Pro Logic® II Surround Sound, 12 premium speakers and 650 watts. Also included is a Navigation System with Real Time Traffic and Map Care plus a rear park assist camera.
The Technology Package is available on the S60. Among its features, Cyclist Detection has been added to Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake. Active High Beam automatically switches the headlights to low beam when opposite traffic is detected. Road Sign Information (RSI) displays traffic speed signs for the driver on the instrument cluster based on the Forward Looking Camera (FLC). The package also includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Queue Assist, Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake (CWAB), Distance Alert (DA), Driver Alert Control (DAC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
Enthusiasts recognize the T6 R-Design as the ultimate performance S60. With the most powerful six-cylinder currently offered by Volvo, the R-Design"s 3.0-liter turbocharged engine puts out a remarkable 325 horsepower and a stout 354 lb.-ft. of torque. Compared to the T6 AWD, the R-Design"s engine generates 25 more horsepower and 29 lb.-ft. additional torque. Like the S60 T6 AWD, the R-Design is fitted with standard All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction plus Corner Traction Control with torque vectoring. The S60 T6 AWD continues to be equipped with the same 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine employed in the R-Design. Performance-minded drivers will enjoy the T6 AWD"s 300 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque with maximum torque achieved from 2,100 rpm and available throughout the rev range. R-Design"s standard Sport Chassis continues to take it to the next level of performance. Volvo"s chassis team fitted a strut brace under the hood that links the suspension strut towers. This is a classic method of stiffening up the body structure and to improve steering response. At the rear, the R-Design features monotube dampers. Unlike the twin-tube dampers used in the S60 T6 AWD, the monotube system features compression and return damping via the same valve. This gives shorter, faster fluid flow, which in turn means the damper responds more quickly. The R-Design"s front springs are shortened by 15mm to give it more visual attitude. Spring stiffness is 15 percent higher compared to the Dynamic Chassis in the T6 AWD. Rear damper attachment bushings are 20 percent stiffer compared with the T6 AWD. The front tie-blade bushing, or the attachment to the rear of the car, is a massive 400 percent stiffer to counteract wheel bouncing and shaking. On the outside, the S60 R-Design"s sporty stance is enhanced with color-matched body components, details in matte finish and a hexagonal pattern that is repeated both front and rear. Incorporated within a sporty rear exhaust baffle are distinctive 3 1/2-inch twin exhaust pipes. Unique R-Design 18-inch Ixion alloy wheels emphasize the sporty appeal. Larger 19-inch Ixion II alloys with performance summer tires are optional. Inside the R-Design, the driver and front passenger sit in sport seats in which the highly supportive backrest is matched with a unique seat cushion with deeper side bolsters. The exclusive standard upholstery is Off-Black leather with contrasting stitching and sport-oriented texture accents with embossed R-Design logo across the front-seat backrests. The interior also features an R-Design sport steering wheel, gear selector, sport pedals, floor mats and adaptive digital display with R-Design graphics.
The S60 represents the latest chapter in Volvo"s pioneering and industry leading safety systems. Among its accolades, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recognized S60 with its newest and highest rating for 2013, the Top Safety Pick+ award. IIHS created this award to recognize good or acceptable performance in the new small overlap collision test. The S60 received the top good rating for this test.
The S60"s standard safety systems include City Safety, a world-first technology that made its debut on the Volvo XC60. City Safety is a driver support system aimed at preventing or mitigating collisions with a vehicle ahead occurring at speeds of 31 mph or less. It utilizes a closing velocity sensor to help determine whether a collision is likely. Depending on the closing speed, City Safety will either pre-charge the brakes or automatically brake the S60 to help avoid a rear-end collision or lessen its impact.
All S60s are fitted with the Volvo Sensus system. Sensus manages information from the audio unit, navigation system (if equipped) and other functions, displaying them onto a seven-inch high-definition color monitor in the upper part of the center console. It allows the driver to explore the high-tech features of the car and personalize them to suit his or her needs.

For 2014, Volvo treats its award-winning XC60 small premium utility to the most extensive refresh since its introduction four years ago. Completely new styling from the windshield forward sets the stage for a dramatic entry. Inside the cabin, the XC60 receives distinctive new design elements, luxury touches and convenience features. Innovative safety technologies make their debut while a new roster of available upgrades take the XC60 to the next level of elegance and sophistication.
The changes begin on the outside, where the XC60 sports a new hood, front fenders and fascia that emphasize a wider and more confident appearance. Redesigned headlights flank a bold new grille sporting a larger Volvo Ironmark. Other changes include a new lower front spoiler with bright trim, vertically mounted LED daytime running lights, new front and rear skid plate décor and integrated exhaust pipe design. New 18-inch Pan alloy wheels are standard on 3.2 trim levels while the top-line T6 R-Design gains new 20-inch Ixion II alloys.
The XC60 is Volvo"s first crossover to offer sporty steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Standard on T6 AWD and R-Design, these paddle shifters let the driver shift manually with both hands on the steering wheel. All XC60s gain a new shift knob for the floor-mounted shifter featuring piano black background with illuminated symbols for ease of viewing in the dark.
Every XC60 receives a new high-tech instrument cluster. The base 3.2 gains an easy to read analog style cluster. A new adaptive digital display employing Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology is standard on 3.2 Premier, Premier Plus and Platinum trims levels plus all T6 AWD and R-Design models. With this cluster, drivers can custom-tailor the display to suit their needs by selecting from three different themes:
Performance has red background illumination for a more dynamic look. A tachometer replaces the speedometer while vehicle speed is shown digitally. The right display includes a power meter gauge that informs the driver how much power is available and how much is being used at any given moment.
Setting the Stage for a Dynamic Drive All XC60s gain new Corner Traction Control (CTC) by torque vectoring. This technology made its debut on the Volvo S60 as a further refinement of Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC). This system makes it easier to smoothly maintain the desired line on winding roads and on wet surfaces. When driving into a curve, the brakes are applied to the inner driven wheel while more power is transmitted to the outer driven wheel. This enables the driver to take the curve more tightly while reducing any tendency to understeer. The driver can accelerate out of the curve while retaining confidence inspiring grip of the road.
Additional safety advancements are included with the new Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) Package offered on all models. This package includes BLIS, front and rear park assist, and new Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) and Lane Change Merge Aid (LCMA). The system is based on radar technology installed behind the rear wheels and will detect traffic from a longer distance than the previous BLIS system. A larger detection area provides the capability of informing the driver of rapidly approaching vehicles. LCMA utilizes two levels of LED lights mounted in the A-pillar. While CTA uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor traffic when backing out of a parking space, warning the driver of approaching traffic via a visual alert and audio signal. A Technology Package, optional on all XC60s, receives an enhanced detection capability feature. Cyclist Detection has been added to Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake. The package also includes Active High Beam that automatically switches the headlights to low beam when opposite traffic is detected, Road Sign Information (RSI) displays traffic speed signs for the driver on the instrument cluster based on the Forward Looking Camera (FLC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Queue Assist, Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake (CWAB), Distance Alert (DA), Driver Alert Control (DAC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
The XC60 was the first vehicle equipped with City Safety. This advanced technology is a driver support system aimed at preventing or mitigating collisions occurring at speeds of 31 mph or less. It utilizes a closing velocity sensor to help determine whether a collision is likely. Depending on the closing speed, City Safety will either pre-charge the brakes or automatically brake the XC60 to help avoid a rear-end collision or lessen its impact. XC60 offers three levels of performance to satisfy a wide range of buyers. Those seeking the greatest value will be attracted to the XC60 3.2. Its naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine provides 240 horsepower with ULEV II emissions rating or 230 horsepower with PZEV (Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) rating. Front-wheel drive is standard while Volvo"s All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction is optional.
The R-Design also endows the XC60 a bolder appearance. Standard features include new 20-inch Ixion II alloy wheels, color-matched lower body moldings and a metallic-themed interior with unique aluminum inserts in the steering wheel, door moldings and the iconic center stack. It also maintains typical R-design attributes like silk metal finish outside mirror housings, trim moldings, skid plates, twin chrome tailpipes and the R-Design logo embossed in the front seat backrests and displayed on the grille.
XC60"s standard Volvo Sensus system lets drivers manage information from the audio unit, navigation system (if equipped) and other functions, displaying them onto a seven-inch high-definition color monitor in the upper part of the center console. It allows the driver to explore the high-tech features of the vehicle and personalize them to suit his or her needs.
Volvo"s trim level strategy offers customers the flexibility to add additional features. Buyers can still select the XC60 3.2, T6 AWD and R-Design without a trim level if desired. For 2014, the Premier trim level, offered exclusively for the 3.2, gains an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror and adaptive digital display. Premier Plus adds rear park assist camera and quick-fold front passenger seat. Platinum receives auto-dimming power-retractable exterior mirrors and interior accent lighting. The Platinum trim offered for all three XC60 models features the Volvo Premium Sound System with Dolby® Pro Logic® II Surround Sound, 12 premium speakers and 650 watts. Also included is a Navigation System with real time traffic, remote control and map care plus a rear park assist camera.
New stand-alone options include active dual xenon headlights with washers for 3.2 and T6 AWD, Urban Wood inlays for these models, an accessory prep cable, heated front seats (also available with the Climate Package) and 20-inch Avior alloy wheels for T6 AWD. The XC60 was the first Volvo with standard HD Radio that updates radio signals to digital quality. FM broadcast quality equals the level of a typical CD while AM broadcast quality rivals the prior level of FM. The XC60"s standard high performance sound system includes BluetoothTM streaming audio, and AUX and USB inputs to allow connection and control of personal music devices such as iPodsTM, memory sticks and other media players.

The first generation (2000–2009)S70 and was based on the P2 platform. It had a similar designed estate version called Volvo V70 and a high performance engine and sports-oriented suspension version called S60 R.ECC concept car and the S80.
The third generation joined the Volvo line-up in 2018 for the 2019 model year.Scalable Product Architecture platform, in America"s first Volvo factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina.
The Volvo S60 was released in 2000 (2001 model year) being the company"s new generation sports sedan. The S60 is aimed to mainly compete in Europe with the BMW 3 Series (E46), the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W203) and the Alfa Romeo 156. Unlike its rivals, the Volvo S60 continued production for 9 years with multiple facelifts. When it was introduced the appearance was unlike the squared vehicles offered in previous years, and continued the new design tradition introduced by the larger S80, utilizing a cab forward approach and was more organic appearing with a pronounced shelf along the beltline that ran the length of the vehicle, achieving a Cd=0.28 drag coefficient.crumple zones, driver and front passenger dual threshold airbags with a collapsible three-stage steering column, Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) supplemented with air bags for driver and front passenger, along with a side curtain airbag for front and rear passengers, anti-submarine seats, five padded head restraints with Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS), and automatic seat belt pretensioners while front belts also have height adjustment.
The S60 came standard with Volvo"s own radio unit, the HU-613, the HU-803 and was later upgraded to the HU-650 and an optional extra HU-850 unit. The HU-850 unit features a 225 or 335-watt power output (depending on optional external amplifier) with three presets: 2CH, 3CH and Dolby Digital Pro Logic II Surround Sound. The Four-C chassis from the S60 R became an option on some S60s.
Police specification models came about through Volvo"s extensive work alongside the users of the vehicles and Police Fleet Management departments. As a result, the Police specification vehicles have a striking difference from original showroom model that sometimes the Volvo S60 is used as police cars.
First introduced in 2004, Volvo"s S60 R used a Haldex computer controlled all-wheel-drive system mated to a 300 PS (221 kW; 296 hp) / 400 N⋅m (300 lbf⋅ft) inline-5 which sends 95 percent of the torque to the front wheels under normal driving conditions and can send up to 70 percent to the rear wheels as necessary.manual transmission, or an available 5-speed automatic which allowed only 258 lb⋅ft (350 N⋅m) torque in 1st and 2nd gears. The 2006–2007 models came with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission (which was no longer torque-restricted).
Semi-active suspension with Four-C (a short name for "Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept") allows the user to select from three modes: Comfort, Sport, and Advanced. "Comfort" attempts to soften the car over bumps, while "Advanced" firms the suspension considerably and gives more aggressive throttle response - a setting Volvo implies is for use on the race track. This is accomplished through a drive by wire throttle, allowing the same pedal travel to result in different performance when the appropriate mode is selected,Ohlins Racing AB and shock absorber manufacturer Monroe for the self-adjusting shock absorbers.
Another Volvo factory option for only the S60 R was a body kit which included front bumper splitters, side skirts and a rear valance, color matched to the body. The body kit was only available with certain body colors and in certain markets.
The second generation S60 began production in Ghent, Belgium on May 17, 2010, with an expected annual production of 90,000 vehicles.Geneva Motor Show in March 2010.Haldex AWD system. More differences in the second generation S60 include the new large Volvo iron symbol, parallel to the grille LED day running lamps and larger spaced letters in the brand name on rear.
The Volvo S60 and V60 come with Volvo"s City Safety system as standard, which is the same system fitted to its sister the XC60. This system stops the car in the event of impending collision in "City Traffic" below 19 mph (31 km/h). Also, a new safety feature named "Pedestrian Detection" (available on both the V60 and S60) detects people in front of the car and automatically applies the brakes if the driver does not react in time. The new sedan shows off Volvo"s completely new design language already seen in the Volvo XC60 concept. It rides on the same platform as the XC60. The goal of this new design was to target younger demographics.
In 2013, the T5 engine was revamped before the launch of the Drive-E arrival. Among the tweaks to the T5 power plant is a boost in engine compression to 9.5:1 from 9.0, engine torque peaks at 4200 rpm and engine management changes provide faster gear changes and upshifts when the 6-speed automatic gearbox is in the sport mode. Output remains the same over 2012 at 250 bhp (186 kW; 253 PS) and 266 lb⋅ft (361 N⋅m) of torque, although there is a provision for overboost from the turbo which bumps the torque number to 295 lb⋅ft (400 N⋅m). The changes in compression ratio helps the S60 T5 deliver 1 mpg‑US (0.43 km/L) extra in the city and combined cycle. Front-drive versions are rated at 21 mpg‑US (8.9 km/L) city/30 mpg‑US (13 km/L) highway for a combined of 24 mpg‑US (10 km/L), while the AWD model is 1 mpg‑US (0.43 km/L) less across the board. Volvo also says the T5 AWD is good for a 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) sprint of 6.6 seconds, while the front-drive version is 0.2 seconds quicker.
Changes include all-new exterior panels from the A-pillars forward including a new hood, front fenders and fascia; a wider grille with a larger Ironmark is flanked by new headlights while a larger, wider lower front intake gains bright accents and horizontally mounted LED daytime running lights; new integrated exhaust pipes at rear, a new Adaptive Digital TFT Display instrument cluster for select models (R-Design versions include unique blue instrument dials), new paddle shifters on T6 AWD and R-Design models (optional on T5), Advanced Quick Shift (AQS) option on all T6 engines and activated when the transmission is set to sport mode or when using paddle shifters, IntelliSafe with Pedestrian Detection and Cyclist Detection with full auto brake and Cross Traffic Alert became part of the Technology Package, a new radar-based Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) to monitor and alert the driver to rapidly approaching vehicles behind the car while still informing the driver about vehicles in the blind spots on both sides of the car, Cross Traffic Alert with radar sensors at the rear end of the car to alert the driver to crossing traffic from the sides when reversing out of a parking space.

The S60L PPHEV shares the same electric-drive technology as the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid, but instead of the diesel engine of the V60, the S60L PPHEV has a 2-liter, four-cylinder gasoline turbocharged engine from Volvo Cars’ new Drive-E engine family. The 50 kW (67 hp) electric motor is powered by an 11.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers an all-electric range of up to 50 km (31 mi). The petrol-powered engine produces 177 kW (237 hp) and 350 N·m (258 lb-ft) of torque. The driver can select via three buttons among three driving modes: Pure, Hybrid or Power. In the default hybrid mode, the CO2 emissions are about 50 g/km, corresponding to a fuel consumption of 2.0 L/100 km (140 mpg‑imp; 120 mpg‑US). By selecting Pure mode, the car runs in all-electric mode, and the Power mode combines the capabilities of the engine and motor to deliver 225 kW (302 hp), 550 N·m (405 lb-ft) of torque and 0–100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 5.5 seconds.
