lcd screen compatibility list supplier
There are many LCD screen manufacturers for the Laptop Industry. LCD screens have different resolutions, size and type and these screens are compatible as long as the resolution and connections are the same.
For this listing, we will ship you a brand new OEM Compatible LCD screen manufactured either by Samsung, LG, Chi Mei, Chunghwa, Sharp, or AUOptronics. For more information about each LCD manufacture please click here.
If you wish to know the make of the actual LCD that will be shipped to you, please contact us by phone with your order information between 11AM - 8PM EST (Monday - Friday).
Laptop manufacturer"s are actually assembling machines made from parts that are from 3rd parties. For example they will buy the processors from Intel or AMD, usually, hard disks from Seagate & Western Digital and screens from LG, Samsung, Boehydis and AUO for example.
As the laptop makers do not actually produce the screens they fit into their laptops they have no control over production or market availability. Components will change and screen models will also change over the lifetime of a laptop model"s manufacture.
If we enter our machine serial number into their parts lookup system, we can see a nice list of the components they have fitted to this particular model at the time it was made.
As you can see from the top left of the next screen we are told that this laptop is fitted with B156HTN03.6 FHD AG. I know from my experience that this is made by AU Optronics.
But what is this to the right hand side we are offered equivalent models, what"s this? Basically what has happened here is that Lenovo have used screens from 3 different manufacturer"s in this machine, we have the AU Optronics B156HTN03.6, we have the CHI MEI /Innolux N156HGE EAB and also a BoeHydis HB156FH1-401.
The short answer is yes, these are all as Lenovo claim, equivalent models. If you order a replacement screen from them they will send you one of those 3, or a newer model if those are not available and they have no stock of the originals. To be a compatible or equivalent screen it has to fit the laptop and work, which means the screen has to have the same technology as the old one, but why different models?
Different models have to be purchased as LCD manufacture changes frequently - and so do prices with the fluctuation in £ and $. The global LCD market is massive and LCD models change every quarter. To keep the industry moving new models are produced almost monthly and old models are removed from circulation. It could be that during some times of the year some brands or models of screen are unavailable or become obsolete. It could be that changes in global currency like the dollar affect decisions to buy different brands of the same type of screen.
We can only buy what is being produced and offered today - and specific model numbers change so if your laptop is more than a year old it is very likely the screen inside it is 2-3 years old and unlikely you will be able to find an exact replacement. No sweat - like car tyres there are a myriad of compatible options. We research these options and provide the best available product on the market today. It really isn"t in our interests to try and deceive clients and the substitution of part codes is not a deception and how the LCD industry MUST operate - there is no other option.
Every screen produced will differ slightly from the other, even from the same manufacturer. From different brands there can be subtle differences. The type of glass used and the electronics on the back of the screen that decode the colours can produce slightly different effects - CHI MEI for example use a "green" glass which produces nice contrast ratios and blacks.
Because every brand of screen and every screen model can exhibit slightly different display properties and the fact that exact match parts are impossible for us to provide most of the time, an alternate or compatible screen has to have
We are unable to discuss these metrics for the reasons stated in this article. Please request to return your screen for a refund if you do not want to keep it.
We have over a quarter of a million (!) part codes and rising on our database. Most of these are not being made anymore - so we advertise a screen compatible with xyz part code and also say in our terms that if a model is not available we will send the next best thing or currently available model.
In addition to the important compatibility specs there are other features of this model that are not taken into account - like the type of glass it is made of -and-
Laptop screen manufacturers and laptop screen suppliers must work with a limited set of compatibility parameters as they are governed by the laptop panel makers and current market trends. It"s not possible to match every spec from an old product to a new one.
For us to supply a compatible screen it will fit and work and should be as good or better as the original but there could be minor differences that, if you are a professional graphics person or photographer and have a specialist screen, you might want to check which model we are currently sending out. Most people will have no idea about this and will be just over the moon to repair their laptop, a very few people like to get upset if a different part is provided, some do not even want to try the part we"ve sent (which can often be better than the original).

A lcd screen is better for a cell phone because it is lighter, and makes the difference between a cell phone and a lighter one. However, lcd screens are less expensive in terms of maintenance, and replacing lcd options allow both phones to have extra protection for the chips and a vibrant part of the phone. For the replacing lcd options, replacing lcdds require less maintenance and be more pricier. On the other hand, replacing lcdds shouldn"t be done as long as the display does not affect the performance of a phone.
The LCD screen is one of the most popular phones because they are display pricier and easier to distinguish between a. and lcd display are the simplest and simplest types of displays. However, depending on your cell phone"s current health, they are less pricier than a lcd screen and depending on the cell phone model, the price, and the design of the screen.

The iPhone 6s display screen will sometimes require replacing, and eBay has plenty of new and preowned iPhone 6s screen options available. Before purchasing a replacement LCD screen for the iPhone 6s, here are a few things that you should consider.
You will want to verify the quality of the iPhone 6s screen. There are many different types of LCD replacement screens on eBay for the iPhone. You can find Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality screens and unbranded screens, white and black screens, and 6s plus screens.
Compatibility: Before you buy an iPhone 6s screen replacement, you want to ensure it will be compatible with your device by checking the item description for your device"s model number.
Quality: There are new and used screens available. If you are looking for a deal on iPhone 6s replacement screens, then consider a used or refurbished condition display.
Standalone or Kit: You can buy an iPhone 6s screen by itself or with the necessary repair tools included. If you want installation tools with your purchase or some helpful care accessories, then consider purchasing one of the available iPhone 6s LCD screen repair kits on eBay. If you already have tools, then a standalone screen may save you some money on your purchase.
Determining the compatibility of a replacement LCD screen for the iPhone 6s is simple. If the title or description of an iPhone LCD screen on eBay states that it is for the 6s model, then it is compatible with an iPhone 6s device. The color of the replacement display does not affect the compatibility of the replacement screen with an iPhone 6s.
There are several colors of iPhone 6s replacement screens for you to choose from. You may choose a replacement screen for the iPhone 6s that is different from the specific device"s original color. The following colors replacement LCD displays are available for the iPhone 6s:
eBay also has iPhone 6s LCD replacement screens in bulk available. When your LCD display has broken, needs replaced or simply needs a technology upgrade, and you have design/equipment elements to consider, you will want to look for a replacement part instead of replacing the unit.Problems may arise when you are sourcing the new panel from your original manufacturer. For example, by the time your panel has degraded, your LCD may be end of life, making it difficult to source;original manufacturers may be charging premium prices for their replacementLCD parts.AGDisplays offers a drop in replacement service for customers who need to replace an LCD or LCD component when their original panel/part is unavailable;this service is also for customers who are looking for a cost effective, suitable replacement or upgrade to their existing LCD. AGDisplays offers availability of standard or custom high-quality LCDs of virtually all shapes and sizes.
Replacing or upgrading the LCD component of your equipment sounds intimidating. It is rather simple if you begin your search with AGDisplays. By simply providing us with your panel part number, general specifications (if possible) and any other upgrade requirements or desires that you might have, we source these products for you or we can source an equivalent replacement, as desired. Using a replacement LCD does not compromise on quality and compatibility;we ensure functionality and performance are top priority because we know how critical the LCD interface is for your application.
You may receive notifications from your original equipment manufacturer about your LCD panel. There are a couple of announcements to pay attention to. The most important two are the end of life (EOL) announcement and the end of sale date. The end of life announcement will officialize a future cease production date for the indicated part number. It may also indicate the end of sale date, which is the last date customers are able to order the product through the manufacturer. After this date, the product will no longer be for sale. Typically end of life announcements come six to twelve months before the last time buy date. A few months later is when your last time buy will ship.
If you decide by this point that your equipment is well suited to use the LCD replacement, you may want to grab these panels when they get into the last time buy phase. If you find yourself ready to upgrade after EOL and last time buys have passed, don’t fret.A drop in replacement unit extends the lifecycle of your unit in the case of EOL or unavailability of original parts. There are many signs an LCD will give the user to indicate that it may be due for replacement or upgrade. Even users who are not LCD experts will be able to tell when it is time to replace.
Outwardly, your LCD will show physical signs of damage such as a cracked or scratched, foggy or contaminated screen.Mostly, these damages are quickly noticeable to the naked eye and the first obvious sign that your panel may need a replacement. These are clear indications that the outside of your LCD has been damaged and is in need of evaluation or replacement. The application environment will determine the urgency in which you’ll want to replace the LCD. Cracks in the LCD may leave the LCD vulnerable to contamination and dust, which in turn can extend damage and/or decrease visual readability of the display.
Most LED technology estimate LED lifetimes to be upwards of 100,000 hours of useful life. This works out to be about six hours of usage a day—and 45 years of service, whew! So one can assume that LCD components will fail before the LED backlighting system will degrade. However, degradation does happen with long term usage. If your LCD is looking less bright than it should be, it is possible that a component in the display’s backlighting system needs replaced or upgraded.
LCDs that are broken internally may only show a black screen, a white screen, or even show no data when turned on. Other indications will be white/grey/black discoloration spots (called mura) of the display itself when it is turned on, regardless of the data/color that is shown on screen.
Another indication of a dying LCD aredamaged pixels. If you notice a small speck of white or black on your screen that does not go away, even as the screen changes, you may have a damaged pixel or two. There are a few different types of pixel defects, hot, stuck and dead pixels. Hot pixels present themselves as always ‘on,’ they always appear white in color. Dead pixels are always ‘off,’ and look black at all times. Now a stuck pixel is either stuck ‘on’ or ‘off’ so they may appear the same as a hot or dead pixel. These (sometimes) are solved by switching from bright to dark colored screens quickly to unstick these. However, this isn’t a reliable treatment for stuck pixels.
If you’ve notice defective pixels on your LCD screen, do not panic! Some manufacturers have a standard in which it allows a certain amount of pixels in production. Overall, if the LCD in question has an increased rebellion of pixels, whether hot, dead or stuck, the LCD may be of low quality or the pixels are going bad.
Sometimes white, black or multi colored streaks appear running horizontally or vertically along the display. If this is happening on every screen, this is a likely sign that something is wrong inside the LCD.
Signs of LCD degradation include those missing pixels, the dimming of screen brightness over time, and even the loss of color and contrast in a display. If you need more assurance the LCD is the problem, consult AGDisplays to discuss our replacement options.
In response to customer demand, General Digital has engineered a multitude of NVIS-compatible LCD display solutions that feature OEM LCD displays and our custom-designed LED backlights (edge-lit and direct-lit), light optimization films and overlay enhancements. Our standard LCD display solutions range in size from 6.5 inch to 24.0 inch. New flat panel display sizes and resolutions, and subsequently, complete LCD monitor models, are being added regularly, or can be engineered upon customer request. Many of our NVIS-compatible solutions are also sunlight readable.
Increasingly, LCD manufacturers are producing their LCDs with LED backlights, rather than with the traditional/legacy cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL). Their decision is motivated by the many advantages that LED backlights provide, such as:
If LCD manufacturers are already manufacturing their LCD displays with LED backlights, you may wonder why General Digital produces its own value-add LED backlights. Most LCD manufacturers target large-volume markets for their LCD designs, where they can maximize their return on investment (ROI). Since competitive pressures from other suppliers exist in these markets, their products are designed to meet the bare essential requirements at a minimum cost in an attempt to achieve product acceptance and market competitiveness.
To convert a legacy LCD design (that meets a specific need) from a CCFL backlight to a comparable design using less power, with increased durability and efficiency.
To make a display NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) compatible, General Digital expertly re-engineers the existing display hardware to virtually eliminate the emission of high levels of IR radiation. In some instances, we install entirely new backlighting systems, whether CCFL or LED. Both approaches are fully compliant with the military specification, MIL-STD-3009. By configuring an LCD monitor to be night vision compatible, an NVG user is easily able to view information on a display screen, as well as view their surroundings, while using night vision goggles.
OEMs provide the contrast performance of their LCDs in dark room conditions within their display specifications. While this information is an important indicator for consideration if the LCD is to be used indoors, it provides an inconclusive indication of how well the LCD will perform when exposed to high ambient lighting conditions (read our white paper, Not All Brightness is Created Equal). For this reason, General Digital quantifies the performance of our LED enhanced LCDs in our Optics Laboratory following the guidelines of MIL-STD-3009 (formerly MIL-L-85762-A).
General Digital’s Optical Laboratory was created to provide quantification of the optical performance of an LCD under a variety of extreme ambient conditions along with raw intrinsic system characteristics. The data provided by the laboratory tests allows for numerical performance descriptions of each LCD display system. This enables the customer to compare displays across the entire General Digital display catalog and provides the ability to choose the correct product for the target environment while removing guesswork. To ensure accuracy and cross correlation, sunlight and NVIS measurements adhere to procedures and regulations outlined in MIL-L-85762A, and its successor, MIL-STD-3009. Other applicable measurements adhere to procedures and regulations outlined in “Video Electronics Standards Association Display Metrology Committee” (VESA) Flat Panel Display Measurement Standard Version 2.0 (June 1, 2001).
On the NVIS DISPLAYS: SPECIFICATIONS tab, we provide a table that summarizes our LED solutions (see sample below). Within the table, you will find a part number for each display configuration listed. As changes are made to a baseline configuration, General Digital will assign a new and unique part number to the resulting configuration. In addition to the part number, a variety of data is supplied for each display configuration.
Typically, General Digital attempts to standardize its measurements by applying an antireflective film to the surface of the LCD. However, it is not unusual for us to test the displays using a variety of other combinations of overlays (EMI filters, touch screens, vandal shields or films) that may be required to meet a specific application requirement.
Lastly, a link to a photometric report (see sample below) has been provided that will summarize and compare the optical performance of the OEM LCD before our enhancements and improvements, as well as after modification. Much of this data has been acquired under the guidelines of MIL-STD-3009 (formerly MIL-L-85762-A). In some instances, General Digital has also included optical data for other multiple test configurations of the same reference LCD.
The following is a standard list of carefully chosen measurements performed by General Digital’s Optical laboratory that provide all relevant information on dark/night, direct sunlight, ambient sunlight and night vision conditions. These measurements are found on all display and monitor photometric data sheets.
Each measurement is performed under a variety of LCD and backlighting drive schemes to provide a diverse and rich data set, allowing the customer the ability to choose the correct product for the target driving scheme, while removing guesswork. These drive conditions are found on all display and monitor photometric data sheets, as outlined below.
General Digital also designs and assembles standard and custom microelectronic assemblies in house (e.g., embedded display heaters, cooling fans, touch screens, bezel buttons and potentiometers, OSD controls) that may be included in the final configuration. Since these designs are under our control, it is a simple task for us to program or tailor their performance to meet a variety of needs. More information is available on our controller products page or by speaking with a Sales Engineer.
