raypak rp2100 lcd display quotation
Does Raypak make the 266k btu heater with the water supply/discharge on the left side vs. the right? Left side discharge will make it easier to swap out.
Hi John, the supply/discharge ports for this Raypak heater are easily changed from one side to the other by removing the side panels and switching the headers from one side to the other. See page 25 of the manualfor instructions on how to do it.
I have a Raypak heater that needs to be replaced. It is Model: P-M406A-EN-C; Item: 009965, S/N 0909062227. I am wondering if this unit (RP2100) will work as a replacement.
We would recommend this RP2100 Digital Heater - R406A - Copper - Natural Gas - P-R406A-EN-C #50rather than the R266A heater, as the heat output of the R266A is not nearly as much as the R406A.
Hi Rick, This would be the replacement for your heater if the BTU"s were similar (i.e. your BTU"s are between 250K & 275K). The headers on this heater can be reversed to come in the left. Here is a Video on How to Reverse the Water Connections on a Raypak Pool Heater showing how this is done. In regards to the transformer I"m not aware of a transformer needed on this heater you may want to get more details from your pool guy on this.
I"m replacing my 16 year old Hayward H Series H250 heater. Is this RayPak heater compatible? Will the water lines, gas line and electrical hook up connect without needing to make adjustments? PVC water lines are 2 inch and the gas line looks to be 1 inch. Pictures attached. Thank you in advance.Reply
Just wondering how difficult these are to install. We currently have a coppertherm which is identical to the 266btu raypak electronic NG. There connections all look the same.
Hi, Paul. The RayPak LoNox Heater 407,000 BTU NG Elec Ign - PR407AENC is the correct replacement for your existing heater. The water connection is reversible.
Unfortunately, we do not have a dimensions sheet on the 265B, but this is the spec sheet on the PR266AENC RP Series Technical Data. That pdf lists all the cabinet dimensions you wish to compare to your current unit. You should also be aware, this unit is rated for residential only use, whereas your C265B is a commercial unit. If this heater is for commercial use, you will need the Raypak Heater 266BTU NG ELE ASME.
I"m not clear on what a harmonic sound is, but the heater may need to be cleaned. I suggest contacting Raypak for a troubleshoot, they can be reached at (805) 278-5300.
I’m looking to swap out a Rheem model P-M266A-EN-X, which Raypak would replace it and could you tell me what the X stands for on the Rheem model? It is not a salt water pool. Is this a job a homeowner could handle or does it affect the warranty. Thanks
Sandy, yes this Raypak RP2100 Heater 266,000 BTU NG ELE would be a good selection for your pool. As long as you know have natural gas and not propane this heater will work as a good replacement. I love RayPak heaters, I think they are a superior product.
My RP2100 Model185-R405 was installed in 1995 and has to be replaced after years of great performance using propane. I would like to replace it with a compatible unit. The tag with the BTU is gone so I don"t know what my old unit is. My pool has about 23,000 gallons. Which would you suggest and if I wanted to go up one larger, which one would that be.
Hi, Rober. This unit will be the correct replacement. The water connections can be rotated to the left side. You will also need the Indoor Stack Kit - 009839. Please review the Raypak Owners/Instructions Manual for installation instructions.
I just ordered this Raypak 266K BTU Natural Gas heater but am now reading the reviews about a check valve. Do I need this? If so, which one do I need?
Hi, Paul. These units come with the water connection on the right and the gas connection on the left. The water connection can be switched, instructions are available in the Raypak Owners/Instructions Manual.
Hi, Tony. A 406K BTU heater will provide you with the quickest heating time. To get remote access to the heater an external controller like Pool Automation will have to be installed. If the unit is installed outdoor a vent kit is not required, see page 12-14 of the Raypak Owners/Instructions Manual for outdoor installation.
Hi. You will need to either replace the Temperature Sensor - 009577F or the Circuit Board - 013464F. To determine which one is the problem, inspect the sensor, wires, and connector at Terminal P1 Check resistance value of the sensor. Reference to chart on page 46 of the Raypak Owners/Instructions Manual. Replace Sensor if not within 10% of values shown below. If okay, replace Circuit Board.
Jclark, We recommend giving Raypak a call. They should be able to put you in touch with an authorized installer. You can reach Raypak at 805-278-5300.
Just bought a home with a 18x35 pool and would like to install a heater. We received a quote from a local company to purchase a 266 btu heater from them and install it for us. Nice people, but for everything total it was way more than double the price of this Raypak 266 btu that INYO is offering. My question...does everything come in the box that we need? Thank you!
I have an 18x36 in ground pool. My deep end is about 9" deep. I curretly have a raypak boiler I want to replace. It is 266,000 but and is a millivilt system. I live in west Michigan on the lakeshore. Is this unit oversized? I"d like to go with an electronic ignition unit? Can you give me a recommendation please? Thanks!

Hi, Lori. The ROL code is letting you know that the "Heat roll-out safety switch open." You will need to replace the Raypak Thermal Fuse - 005899F in your unit.
I"m looking to replace an old Pentair 200K BTU heater for my 17,000 Gal inground pool and want to know if replacing it with the Raypak Heater 266000 BTU NG ELE - PR266AEN would work? I’m not sure how to read your gas line table…
Hi, Keith. This Raypak 266K BTU unit can be used to replace an old Pentair 200k BTU unit. The gas line pipe chart shows the maximum equivalent pipe length (ft) from the meter.
Hi, Gary. A Raypak 266,000 would provide sufficient heat for a pool that size and can be installed outdoors. I would recommend getting a Pool Heater Cover.
I now have a Raypak 1200 digital, which has died. Pool is around 30,000 gallons. The 1200 did a fine job. What new heater is appropriate for this size pool. There is also a spa, in the same system.
Can you tell me up to what pool size does the RayPak 206 heat, debating between that or the Raypak 266. I am also wanting to know if I need anything additional for the install? Or does it all come with the pool heater? Thank you
I have a natural gas heater for my in-ground pool. it is Laars & Jandy LITE 2 Model LG250N. Is the Raypak 266000 BTU NG ELE the correct replacement for mine?
Hi Krish, Yes the Raypak 266,000 BTU (009217) pool heater, would be a good replacement for your Jandy LITE 2 Model LG250N. Delivery is 5-7 business days.
I need to replace a broken Rheem P-M266A-EN-X. Will the Raypak P-R266A-EN-C be a comparable replacement? Also, if I would like to instead upgrade to a larger BTU model (P-R336A-EN-C), would that add a bunch more work during install such as cutting out some plumbing and/or gas lines to accommodate the larger width of the heater?
I would suggest a Raypak 336,000 BTU Heater depending on MV (millivolt) or ELE (electric) part numbers 009194, 009202, 009218, 009226. For a pool your size but you will want to make sure to adhere to these Gas Line Sizing Specifications.
I recommend giving RayPak a call cleaning your unit, I don"t want to tell you something that might void the warranty on it if they have a specific way of cleaning it. Also, not sure where that fuse is located either so that would also be a great question for RayPak.
I am looking at a Raypak 266000 BTU NG does the heater come with a left side connection to water inlets and exit and also a external connection for a exhaust vent above heater possibly a 7inch vent. Please respond.
Hi, Pat, The water connection on these Raypak heaters can be reverse in the field by a pool professional. The Indoor Stack Kit-009839 or Outdoor Stack Kit-009835 can be used with this unit.
Hi Mike, The Raypak heaters are great heaters and do work with the Pentair EasyTouch automation system. If you have a salt pool then I would suggest the Raypak 266,000 BTU with Heavy Duty Heat Exchanger.
Hello, Raypak does have a number of Electric Heat Pumps to choose from. I would recommend either the Raypak Standard 117K BTU Digital Heat Pump or the Raypak Standard 133K BTU Digital Heat Pump. Remember, the bigger the unit the faster it will heat your pool.
Abbie, this Raypak heater is the Natural Gas (NG) version but it is not suited for a saltwater pool. This heater has a copper heat exchanger which will corrode easier due to saltwater. For saltwater pools, the manufacturer suggests using the Cupro-Nickel version which is model number PR266AENX.
Hello, Paul, The Raypak Heater 266000 BTU NG ELE 009217 is a Natural Gas (NG) unit. This will and won"t work with your Aqualink. You will be able to turn the unit on and off but will not be able to control the temperature setting from your remote. Essentially, you"ll be able to provide power but nothing more.
Hello Jim, if you have a salt pool it will be best to go with a Cupro-nickel Model 014939. This Raypak Digital heater has cupro-nickel fin tube heat exchangers for added protection against aggressive water chemistry
Hi Ruby, At this point replacing the entire unit will be the best option. Based off of the model # you provided the RayPak LoNox Heater 407000 BTU NG Elec Ign the replacement unit.
I am looking to replace a 3-year Raypak gas-fired pool heater after the heating element is no longer working. The current model is P-R266A-EN-C. It appears this is the same product ? Our pool is 18x36. Can you advise if this is the same as our current model and effective for the size pool ? Thanks !
Hi Dina, The Raypak Heater 266000 BTU NG ELE (009217) would be the same unit as the P-R266A-EN-C unit that you currently have. The 266,000 BTU unit would be the correct size heater for for pool.
I am replacing a raypak 2100 264K BTU, pool is 20x40, 3-8 feet deep. Is this the heater I would want? Or is there a less expensive model that would work?
Hi Nadia, If you have an electronic ignition heater then this would be the correct pool heater for you. You would be able to tell if you have an electronic ignition heater if your heater has digital display on the heater. If you heater does not have have digital display on the heater and just has basic knobs then you would need the Raypak 266,000 Milivolt Heater.
Hello Barb, yes the PR266AENC is the same as the PM266AENC you current have. The heater we list on the website is the Raypak version and your current heater is the Rheem; and as you probably know they are the same company.
Ron, I would recommend calling RayPak Teach Support at 805-278-5300 to see if there"s a service comapany that can come out to see what"s going on. They can run a diagnostic on the heater.
Hello Connie - The Raypak 009217 is supplied with a dual-voltage transformer for 120VAC or 240VAC input power hookup. We recommend contacting a certified installer for the installation of this heater.
This particular model is good for 0" - 1,999" we do have our Raypak High Altitude Heaters which go from 2,000" - 9,000" so I would suggest the high altitude model.
Hi, I wondered how high I can turn up the heat on the Raypak 266? My last heater, a Hayward, only went up to 90, and I don"t believe the actual water temp ever got near that. Hopefully, I won"t need to turn it so high, but there are always a few cool evenings when I like to crank it up. Thanks.
Therese, these units are factory set for a max temperature of 104 degrees. A licence contractor can adjust it to 107 degrees max following Raypak instructions.
I had always been familiar with Hayward products. I had not been familiar with Raypak until I needed to replace my Hayward heater (300k BTU). Through my search for a heater with a similar hookup to the old Hayward heater (gas input on the left and electric on the right), I ran across Raypak. I am familiar with Rheem, so I thought I would give it a try, especially since the INYOPools price was very reasonable.
I am very happy with this product. It looks well constructed and it does not seem like it will rust. I am a new Raypak convert and will consider their products whenever I need to replace this heater and recommend them to my friends. I would recommend their products to anyone who needs a new pool heater.

Yes, you are right about the set temp display and the inlet temp display both always displaying. Check all your ground connections. Especially the pilot, and the pilot bracket. There needs to be good connection between the bracket and the cabinet/frame. Some units had a ground wire connected to the bracket screw. Intermittent problems aren"t easy to diagnose from the armchair. Your temp sensor would be giving you erratic displays (way over temp) if it were failing. All units have a temp sensor not mounted on the board, but they all have a wire that runs from the sensor at the header, back to the board via a wire. You may want to try disconnecting the touch pad from the board. Remember to turn up the thermostat to your set point, turn on the heater, then shut the pump off and unplug the pad. As you are looking at the board, there is a ribbon cable that appears from behind the bottom of the board, and plugs into the board. Run it without the touch pad connected to see if it will run to set point. Remember, the touch pad wont work while you have it disconnected.
