Thanks to the wide range of sizes available and the high-resolution support of those devices (e.g. 768p, 1920~1200 pixels), faytech’s capacitive touch monitors are the perfect choice for a wide range of applications, including but not limited to POS systems, kiosk systems, for office/residence automation and as control panels in industrial fields.
All our Capacitive touch screens are made of an industrial A+ HD LCD capacitive multi-touch panel with energy-saving LED technology and a wide viewing angle. These characteristics make faytech Capacitive touch displays perfect solutions when it comes to fashion shows, industrial 4.0 projects, dealerships, wayfinding, supermarkets, sports arenas, interactive visualizations, and digital signage.
The potential use cases of those units are almost infinite. For residencies, condominiums, or apartment lobbies, the Capacitive Touch Monitors could be used as interfaces or as part of a residential automation system. In hotels, these capacitive touch screen monitors could help enhance communications between staff and residents, as well as being part of a security automation system. Beyond residential and hosteling settings, faytech capacitive touch displays would be a great addition to any educational system, being used to improve interactions between students and professors in classrooms, for personnel management, and as interfaces to plan and communicate about curricular and extracurricular events. Faytech Capacitive Touch Monitors are also a great option to make scheduling and inventory management easier, whether in a private company or a public/educational setting.
In retail environments like mall shops and department stores, the technologies provided by faytech Capacitive Touch Monitors will be a great addition not only for customers, helping them to easily check inventory details without having to ask store personnel, but also for managers, being an easy way to cut back on operating costs. One of the multiple advantages of our capacitive touch screens is that they can be easily integrated with external software applications that, in turn, can allow customers to try demo versions of the products or services they contemplate purchasing. All in all, faytech capacitive touch monitors can serve as a great interactive medium to facilitate the purchasing process and multiply your sales.
While faytech Capacitive Touch Monitors can for sure be used for single-touch applications, these touch devices truly shine in more complex use scenarios. These include for instance directories or maps, when the user may have to use finger-scroll, pinch-zoom, and panning functions. Indeed, one of the main differences between Resistive touch monitors and capacitive touch monitors concerns touch technology. While resistive touch monitors are most of the time equipped with a single touch panel, the capacitive touch monitors are on the other side built to effectively register multi-touch, going as high as ten touches at the same time! It is now even possible to use Capacitive Touch Monitors when wearing heavy gloves, which is a significant upgrade given that this feature was formerly the preserve of Touch Monitors using Resistive-touch technology. Thanks to their patented IP65 front with silicone seal, faytech Capacitive Touch Monitor also work under heavy rain, which makes them adapted to use in semi-outdoor environments.
Worth noting, Capacitive Touch screens can most of the time be divided into two sub-categories: Projected Capacitive Touch Screens (PCAP) and Surface Touch Screens.
Based on projected technology, faytech Capacitive Touch Monitors are suitable for use in some highly specialized industries, including the aerospace (including but not limited to avionic systems), medical, military, and industrial ones (serving for example as an automated equipment control). Particularly, the main advantages of faytech Projected Capacitive Touch Monitors concerning these specific industries are the variety of layers stack-up options available, resulting in unparalleled durability and color perception. The Capacitive Touch Monitors manufactured by faytech respond to all the obligations induced by such demanding industries, thanks to several outstanding features. Those include:
Along with these peculiar applications, faytech Capacitive Touch Screens are also ideally fitted for high usage environments when based on surface technology.
Indeed, this technology stands out thanks to the high environmental robustness and increased resilience it offers. Monitors equipped with such a technology are vandal proof and can be used in areas with high traffic, serving in museums as an interactive display for instance. For example, it is now common to find such devices in electronic voting machines, an application in which security is key. Whether they come with a curved or flat surface, these devices are a perfect fit for any graphic-driven applications, such as ATMs (automated teller machines), game consoles, entertainment (including smartphones, tablets, and personal computers), banking, kitchen appliances, automobiles, and automats.
Technically speaking, on top of the front surface is applied a conductive coating, itself composed of wires connected to every four corners where a small voltage is applied. The system relies on the “capacitance” of the human body, which is to say that when one touches the screen, a small current flows to the touchpoint, generating a voltage drop detected at the corners.
This functioning makes screen surface technology more fitted to use on larger size (i.e. over 12 inches) applications. Besides, the single glass layer structure allows these devices to have excellent optical clarity and high light transmission (from 88 up to 92 percent). Of all the available technologies, it has the fastest touch response time. These monitors can also withstand regular cleaning using harsh chemicals. All in all, these functionalities make the capacitive touch monitors using surface technology especially suitable for commercial uses, such as the ones that we mentioned before.
On top of the potential use cases presented in this section, our Capacitive Touch Monitors can easily be integrated into any conceivable application and setup. Faytech NA is specialized in custom-made solutions and we will be glad to help you find the best Capacitive Touch Monitor for your specific needs and applications. Don’t hesitate to contact us to talk with one of our Capacitive Touch Screen Monitor specialists.
Touch panels have been evolving quickly and touchscreen technologies are becoming ever more sensitive to interactions with something as simple as the human finger.
The following are some important points regarding our touch panel company and some of the ways we are developing surface capacitive touch panel displays and devices.
A capacitive touchscreen can be found in many devices ranging from mobile phones to large touch panels to projected capacitive displays to kiosks with surface capacitance technology.
faytech NA specializes in the design, development, manufacturing, and marketing of specific computing solutions such as Touchscreen Desktops and Displays for Capacitive, Embedded, Industrial, Resistive, Rugged, Sunlight Readable, High Brightness, Open Frame, Kiosks and Accessories.
faytech NA currently manufactures 7–22” Monitors, 8–19” PCs, and the 32–42–55” PC LFT Series. Additionally, we have developed our own proprietary PC motherboard, which is manufactured exclusively by ASUS.
Thanks to the accurate touch sensors, capacitive touch screen monitors are implemented as a viable solution for situations where the mouse and keyboard systems cannot be used as suitably accurate. Capacitive touch panel touchscreens offer a rapid, or intuitive means of interaction with the content on the screen.
Touchscreens with controller-based firmware and touch sensor have been made available, historically, by a various after-market system integrators, and not by the motherboard, chip, and display manufacturers.
However, chip and touchscreen manufacturers worldwide have acknowledged in the last few years the trend toward a wide acceptance of touch-friendly interface components as a highly desirable alternative and have begun to integrate this technology into the design of their products.
A capacitive touch screen monitor can be used similar to a keyboard that is invisible since it displays only as many button choices and as much data as users need to complete a particular task.
This is one of the reasons why touch panels are increasing in popularity in various applications from industrial machinery to kiosks and mobile phones.
In selecting the most suitable monitor for your application, the most important decision is in regard to the type of touch screen technology to use. Touch panels and touchscreens come in several types based on a few different technologies, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.
A touch screen monitor is made of insulating material covered with transparent conductors. The most common material used as an insulator is glass. As a transparent conductor, indium tin oxide is usually used.
The resulted electric distortion is measured as a change in capacitance. In order to identify the touch display’s locations in a way can be used in various technologies, the location is then sent for processing to the controller of the capacitive touchscreen.
The difference from a resistive touch screen, is that users cannot work with a capacitive touchscreen through gloves and other types of electrically insulating material. In consumer electronics, this is a disadvantage because these smartphone and touch tablet PCs cannot be used in cold weather. However, this disadvantage can be overcome with a special-application glove or a special stylus.
The top manufacturers of capacitance displays continue to develop more accurate and thinner touch screens. For instance, by building the capacitors inside the display itself, mobile devices such as Samsung’s Super AMOLED screens are being produced now with “in-cell” technology that eliminates a layer.
This reduces the visible distance between what the user is touching on the screen and the user’s finger, enabling gestures and taps to be more responsive and creating a more direct contact with the content displayed.
Touch screens based on projected technology deliver interactive solutions for various applications and industries including aerospace, medical, military, and industrial.
Multi-touch projected technology has changed forever the way we interact with machines since the iPhone exploded on the market in the year 2007. Touch monitors with projected technology offer many substrate choices and stack-up options, delivering unmatched durability and outstanding optics.
Surface technology offers environmental robustness and increased durability. These monitors are proven to meet the harsh demands found in vandal prone access sectors, and areas with high traffic.
Curved and flat surface touch screens are suitable for graphic driven applications, such as vending machines, entertaining, gaming, banking, and ATMs. Itcomes with a conductive coating on top of the front surface. The conductive coating features wires connected to each corner. To each of these four corners is applied a small voltage. The operation is based on surface technology relies on the capacitance of the human body. A small current flows to the point when you touch the screen, causing a voltage drop that is then sensed at corners.
This screen surface technology can be used easily on a larger size (over 12 inches) applications. Because the structure is only one glass layer, they provide high light transmission (in the range of 88 to 92 percent) and excellent optical clarity. Of all the available technologies, it has the fastest touch response time. These monitors can also withstand regular cleaning using harsh chemicals.
Because the touch screen display is based on a durable technology, they can be employed in applications that require increased durability. Among their areas of application are included point-of-sale systems, kiosks, and industrial computer machinery. Another advantage is that they have a higher clarity than resistive-type (higher by 88-92 percent).
Interface: Your computer should communicate with the touch screen panels. The most common interface types USB and RS-232. The need for drivers has been eliminated by new HID-compliant touchscreen displays.
Mounting: Among the various mounting options are included free-standing, rack mount, and panel mount. In case that you want to use free-standing, make sure that you use a heavy-duty stand that was specifically designed for touch.

Searching for the best and brightest large touch screen monitor for your office? Sounds like someone got an increase in their A/V budget. We’re not surprised, seeing as employee experience and self-service tech is a hot topic these days, with a 2017 Deloitte study stating that almost 80 percent of executives believe it’s important to very important. One way to improve employee experience is with transparency and visibility. Large-format touch screen displays showing interactive office maps in your lobby, kitchen, and elevator bay, for example, accomplish just that.
For the best-case scenario when employees interact with a large format touch screen display in your office, we recommend looking for these qualities to make for a quick, easy and accurate experience.
• Multi-touch vs single-touch:if you’re looking to use software that has zoom capabilities (like Robin interactive maps), you want to look for multi-touch displays. These could also be good for large-format displays where multiple people may be trying to click around, or if the software has any added multi-touch functionality (similar to Apple’s trackpad two-finger scroll or page flip motions).
• 5-wire resistive or infrared touch screens:Between the two, they cover the best circumstances for touch screen technology from transmissivity, type of object able to be used (stylus vs. finger), and more. There are technically five different types of touch screen technology, which you can read more about here.
We made a quick list of five the best touch screen options for your office lobbies and elevator bays. At Robin, we’ve tried out both Chromebase and Elo touch screen displays, both being solid options as they’re relatively easy to mount and setup. We also pulled some favorites from across the web.
Pros:Many format and size options, from seamless to matrixed video walls to simple large format touch screen displays. Includes infrared and multi-touch options.Cons:They seem to be expensive (but, you get what you pay for, if you’re looking for a 70” display or an entire wall)
You’re in luck. A fair amount of the larger format touch screen technology we’ve seen works with a standard TV. Seems like the industry recognizes it’s worth reusing a standard TV and simply making it touch-enabled with an overlay “frame” of sorts. Here are a ton of size options for infrared, multi-touch overlays from OPTIR via Tyco Touch.
An ideal office scenario would be to have a large-format touch screen monitor in your lobby and on each floor in the elevator bay or kitchen areas. These are often the highest-trafficked collision points in an office and therefore the places where employees would greatly benefit from seeing an interactive map and schedule of the workplace.
As your company grows, you’ll want to keep up the pace of strong internal communications and visibility. Large-format displays, especially touch screen ones, help you accomplish this objective really easily.
From wayfinding and conference room booking to internal communications of all types, having touch screens in high-traffic locations will make you look like the office admin superstar you really are. You could welcome new hires, tell everyone about a new product, or roll out a brand new software tool (like Robin) via these screens.

Don’t miss out on the new products based on latest technological advances in this field. Examples of unconventional options include:
PIT technology is a patented multi-touch technology. Based on the traditional infrared touch technology and the theory of total internal reflection (TIR), placing the infrared emission diode and reception diode on the lower surface of glass, the infrared beams generated by emission diodes are reflected through a prism light-guide specially designed and transmit across the front glass surface. Compared to traditional infrared touch technology, PIT touch screen has slimmer bezel, lower elevated height, and better multi-touch experience. Impact Display Solutions PIT touch screens have Win8 certification. PIT touch screens support multi-touch capability, allowing more people to touch the screen simultaneously. That allows users to have a better interactive experience. Compared to traditional infrared touch screen, 0.5mm ultralow elevated height enables PIT touch screen recognize human touch very accurately. Ultra-narrow bezel allows near-true flat appearance (as the touch transducers are placed under the screen). Protection performance enhancements are optional: waterproof or vandal-resistant.
As we all know, the biggest advantage of projected capacitive touch screens over other touch screen technologies is in the ease of implementation of feather-touch & multi-touch for gestures, but feather-style touching can lead to unintended activations in conventional projected capacitive touch screens. Adding force sensing overcomes that weakness of PCAPs. Force Sensing Touch Screens implement unintended touch rejection by ‘brushing off’ past accidents and it takes into account finger repositioning before selection. Force-sensing touch screen also enables new hand moves and menu-bringing features you can add to your product to enhance user experience.
Based on proven SAW touch technology, Impact Display Solutions has the capability of offering curved SAW touch screens in sizes of 21.5”, 27”, 32”, 35”, 42”. Furthermore, curved SAW touchscreens inherit and enjoy the benefits of SAW technology such as high reliability, protracted durability, sharp image clarity and vandal proofing. It’s the ideal touch solution for gaming and interactive kiosks.
Optical bonding can increase the brightness and contrast of a display. Typically, there are air gaps between the layers of the completed LCD assembly including the substrate, cover glass and touch screen. Optical bonding can be employed to strengthen the assembly and in most cases, to improve the overall brightness, contrast ratio and readability by mitigating the light reflection between the layers. We offer variety of bonding solutions to meet your LCD touch screen monitor requirements. Don’t miss out on the new products based on latest technological advances in this field. Examples of options include:
When you need to increase readability (especially in direct sunlight) by eliminating air gap between LCD and touch screen or protective lens, or both, Impact effectively achieves that goal with optical clear adhesive (OCA) lamination process. Dry bonding with OCA is an inexpensive bonding method with a reliable track record.
Performed in the U.S., Impact uses IR-curing process for optical bonding that involves infrared heat to bring optical silicone OCR material to gel state. Used to optically-bond touch screens of your choice or variety of lenses similar to options for UV curing listed above but excluding Micromesh option.
Because Impact specializes in LCDs, touch screens, computer motherboards, and value-added enhancements & assemblies, we are able to put all those products into convenient “all-in-ones” / AIOs, which include enclosures with either desktop mounts or backside VESA mounts. Click HERE for list of standard models of 15.6” to 21.5” diagonal, which consist of HD LCD, PCAP touch screen, internal computer motherboard, memory, and other components that encompass full computer functionality with convenient use interface. Please contact us to modify a standard model or make a custom-made AIO product from ground up.
A 10-point multi-touch screen refers to a touch screen that has the ability to recognise and respond to ten simultaneous points of contact. This allows you to easily zoom, flick, rotate, swipe, drag, pinch, press, double tap or use other gestures with up to ten fingers on the screen at the same time.
Initially, touch screen products could only recognise one point of touch and perform one touch movement at a time. The technology then advanced to two points of contact and many touch screens still use this older technology. But a screen that uses 10-point multi touch technology allows users to perform more complex actions on their touch screens than ever before. It also deals well with a shirt sleeve touching a screen, or a little droplet on the screen which can confuse two-point technology.
Some examples of where the 10-point multi-touch technology is best utilised is in product promotion and data visualisation situations. It allows businesses to tell their story and users can move seamlessly interact and browse through catalogues, data, images, simulations and 3-D presentations.
In presentation scenarios, large multi-touch monitors with 10-point multi-touch technology enable two or more people to operate the same monitor at once, performing independent functions. Applications of this can be in teaching, where a tutor can have two students making two separate input functions at the same time. Commercially, large displays can be used by multiple clients at the same time, either in retail or the hospitality sector. A good example is in a retail store, where a sales rep and a client can both collaborate and perform actions simultaneously on the same touch screen.
At InTouch Screens, we offer only the best in 10-point multi-touch technology, with a range in sizes from 10” to 55” screens. Our technology is the same technology used in most smartphones, so most users are comfortable with it immediately. A surface capacitive touchscreen uses a transparent layer of conductive film overlaid onto a glass sublayer. A protective layer is then applied to the conductive film. Voltage is applied to the electrodes on the four corners of the glass sublayer to generate a uniform electric field. When a conductor touches the screen, current flows from the electrodes to the conductor. The location of the conductor is then calculated based on the activity of the currents. Surface capacitive touchscreens are often used for large screen panels.
Projected capacitive touchscreens are extremely precise and quick responding and are typically found on smaller devices such as iPhones, iPod touches or iPads. Unlike the surface capacitive touchscreens, which use four electrodes and a transparent conductive film, the projected capacitive touchscreens use a vast amount of transparent electrodes arranged in a specific pattern and on two separate layers. When a conductor moves near the screen, the electrical field between the electrodes change and sensors can instantly identify the location on the screen. Projected capacitive touchscreens can accurately register multi-touch events.
You interact with a touch screen monitor constantly throughout your daily life. You will see them in cell phones, ATM’s, kiosks, ticket vending machines, manufacturing plants and more. All of these use touch panels to enable the user to interact with a computer or device without the use of a keyboard or mouse. But did you know there are several uniquely different types of Touch Screens? The five most common types of touch screen are: 5-Wire Resistive, Surface Capacitive touch, Projected Capacitive (P-Cap), SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave), and IR (Infrared).
We are often asked “How does a touch screen monitor work?” A touch screen basically replaces the functionality of a keyboard and mouse. Below is a basic description of 5 types of touch screen monitor technology. The advantages and disadvantages of type of touch screen will help you decide which type touchscreen is most appropriate for your needs:
5-Wire Resistive Touch is the most widely touch technology in use today. A resistive touch screen monitor is composed of a glass panel and a film screen, each covered with a thin metallic layer, separated by a narrow gap. When a user touches the screen, the two metallic layers make contact, resulting in electrical flow. The point of contact is detected by this change in voltage.
Surface Capacitive touch screen is the second most popular type of touch screens on the market. In a surface capacitive touch screen monitor, a transparent electrode layer is placed on top of a glass panel. This is then covered by a protective cover. When an exposed finger touches the monitor screen, it reacts to the static electrical capacity of the human body. Some of the electrical charge transfers from the screen to the user. This decrease in capacitance is detected by sensors located at the four corners of the screen, allowing the controller to determine the touch point. Surface capacitive touch screens can only be activated by the touch of human skin or a stylus holding an electrical charge.
Projected Capacitive (P-Cap) is similar to Surface Capacitive, but it offers two primary advantages. First, in addition to a bare finger, it can also be activated with surgical gloves or thin cotton gloves. Secondly, P-Cap enables multi-touch activation (simultaneous input from two or more fingers). A projected capacitive touch screen is composed of a sheet of glass with embedded transparent electrode films and an IC chip. This creates a three dimensional electrostatic field. When a finger comes into contact with the screen, the ratios of the electrical currents change and the computer is able to detect the touch points. All our P-Cap touch screens feature a Zero-Bezel enclosure.
SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) touch screen monitors utilize a series of piezoelectric transducers and receivers. These are positioned along the sides of the monitor’s glass plate to create an invisible grid of ultrasonic waves on the surface. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed. This allows the receiving transducer to locate the touch point and send this data to the computer. SAW monitors can be activated by a finger, gloved hand, or soft-tip stylus. SAW monitors offer easy use and high visibility.
IR (Infrared) type touch screen monitors do not overlay the display with an additional screen or screen sandwich. Instead, infrared monitors use IR emitters and receivers to create an invisible grid of light beams across the screen. This ensures the best possible image quality. When an object interrupts the invisible infrared light beam, the sensors are able to locate the touch point. The X and Y coordinates are then sent to the controller.

After all, there’s no other way to get that kind of nuanced control when navigating various windows and apps. For example, if you want to translate handwriting to text or draw directly on the screen using your finger, one of these panels is the way to do it. And, instead of having to use keyboard shortcuts to carry out a command, you can perform the actual action directly on the screen.
But, you won’t be holding a touchscreen display the way you would a tablet or smartphone. So, consider whether you’re comfortable using your fingers to navigate a screen that’s sitting at eye level for long periods. What are the disadvantages of a touchscreen monitor? There are some drawbacks to using a touchscreen monitor. For example, holding your arm up to interact with a touchscreen throughout a day’s worth of work will get tiring no matter how strong you are. And, you’ll have to clean that screen regularly. Otherwise, that buildup of smudges and fingerprints can get in the way of seeing it properly.
Most importantly, however, touchscreen displays are more likely to experience some kind of damage. This is because there’s much more going on under the hood than with non-touch monitors. And, when something goes wrong, it will cost more to fix due to the more complicated design of these panels. What is a 10 point touchscreen?A 10 point touchscreen can register 10 distinct points of contact all at once. Not all touchscreen devices and displays utilise this technology. But, having it makes a huge difference in the accuracy of your taps, swipes, and various gestures. With one or two-point touchscreens, any accidental contact like the edge of your palm grazing the screen could confuse the interface and register a tap where it shouldn’t be. Utilising a 10 point touchscreen largely eliminates that kind of accidental interaction. And, it also allows for more complex interactions like typing directly on the screen.
