After waiting all day for repair visit BB/GS determined replacement would be more cost effective - they would furnish authorization #. One week later, BB/GS now reverses decision & states repairs will be done - process starts all over again after waiting, calling, on hold such poor service & product performance!

I purchased an Insignia 42" for my father in law 2 years and 3 months ago. I got it back, plugged in the cable and all was fine for 2 months - then, the power went south and all I got was a red light. Same experience as many before me; new power card, no dice. New main board, no dice. To charge $500 for a machine only good for 2 and a half years is the greatest display of anti-social behavior since Harry S. dropped the big one, and Best Buy should count on a very special seat in the 7th Circle of Hell for this affront to consumers. I purchased the ultrabook charger from Best Buys Sept 2014 and plugged it into my 1 month old Lenovo Laptop. It completely fried the computer. A strong smell of burning wires was coming from it. Best buys did nothing and just told me to call insignia. Insignia gave me a case # and said they would contact me within 12 working days. Wow! What great customer service. In the meantime, I was forced to buy an new computer as I need for my business. Let"s just say that I am very displeased with Best buys and insignia.

Not long after purchase my Insignia TV started to randomly shut down for several seconds then come back on. Then after less than 3 years the picture would not come on at all. JUNK!!!!! I certainly will never buy another one!

42" Insignia LCD TV NS-L42Q-10A - We purchased this TV new about 3 years ago and set it up in our guest room. This TV has less than 5 total viewing hours on it. This TV has less time on it than it takes to watch a football game. Recently, we decided to relocate the TV to the living room and I purchased and installed a wall hanger for the TV. Without testing, I simply moved the TV from one wall to another. After the move I tried to turn the TV on but got nothing. Only the red led flashes about every three seconds.

My plan now is to bag this TV up and take it out in the desert for some target practice. It will be about a $1200.00 target so I really plan to do some damage to this thing. I purchased a Insignia model NS-39L240A13 from Best Buy in August 2012. I put the TV in spare bedroom so I never watch it. Doesn"t want to come on. WASTE of money and time. No more Best Buy for me and never anything of Insignia brand. Look at the number of complaints of people getting maybe two years of use from this shoddy product. Shame on them! Stealing my money and time and filling up the landfills with TV which only work for a year or two.

I bought a 55" Insignia TV from Best Buy 17 months ago. It comes with a 1 yr warranty for around $800. That barely covered it. After 17 months the TV won"t turn on. The red light flashes in series of three and dies. I have to unplug then replug 20-30 times before it will turn on like a flickering fluorescent light with a bad baffle. I went to the store of purchase and was told it would cost me almost half what I paid to ship and give me an estimate before I even got it fixed and those labor and parts cost added on. I also have a 42" with combined DVD player which has had a disc stuck/inoperable for a year. That cost to repair was more than I paid.

In all honesty the picture quality is superb and the price points were awesome. That"s why I bought them. I"ll never do it again though because they don"t last. You might as well flush the money down the toilet. The follow up service from Best Buy sucks. My dad and brother have had Samsungs for years and no problems. I too purchased a 48 inch Insignia tv and it lasted less than 2 year. During that two years we had a multitude of problems like the ones mentioned here. We has to pitch it in the trash. Plain garbage! Never again will I buy anything Insignia! WOULD LOVE TO SEE A CLASS ACTION SUIT!

Soon as my Best Buy warranty ran out, my TV did too. I called best buy, all they could say was to call geek squad which in turn would charge me 150 bucks to just come out and diagnosis the problem. I purchased an Insignia LCD HDTV in August 2012 at Best Buy. The Geek Squad has worked on it twice and cannot get the power source to the television to work. I purchased the TV for about $700. Less than 3 years later, I told it’s not worth the cost of repair. Never again!

In April 2011, I was given a 40-in LCD Insignia TV as a 41-year retirement gift from the company I worked for. TV remained in box until I had it mounted on my bedroom wall in 2013. October 15, 2014 I could only get a picture for a split second and then the screen would change colors from white, blue, green & black. I was told it was in a diagnostic color test mode. I tried holding the menu and enter button at the same time and then hit power but to no avail. TV has been stuck in test mode for three days. After reading the reviews on this TV I don"t think I will waste money getting it repaired. I will buy another brand all together. I guess I"m pretty fortunate that I did not lose money on a purchase as it was a gift.

Purchased a Signia 39" Television back in March of 2014, this is October 10, 2014, the screen is black and no sound. The remote will not work when trying to turn on tv nor when I try to use the buttons on the tv. I called Insignia repair and nothing, I called best buy and they immediately sent me to the geek squad. What? Are you serious, I have not had this tv a year. I then researched this brand and saw many complaints against this product and I cannot believe Best Buy is continuing to sell this product even after all the complaints they have received. Insignia Flat Screen 40" Model # NS-40D40SNA14 - Purchased TV in April 2014, I think. 3 days ago I turned on the TV and could not get the TV to power on for longer than 20-30 seconds. The brand name logo would come on and it would show the channel 5.2 but the rest of the screen would be black. After many times a picture finally came on the screen after during the initial logo stuff and it would last for about 30-60 seconds before it went off again. I tried to figure it out on my own for a couple of days but nothing worked. Unplugging it for a while, unplugging overnight. The remote did absolutely nothing to help and I could not even change the channels, increase or decrease the volume, nothing. I called the company and spoke with a male with a very strong accent. I had a very difficult time in understanding him. I had to ask him to repeat everything he said and then repeat it back to him. He had me go through some steps but it did not work and he told me to take it in to Best Buy with my receipt.

I called back to Insignia tonight to see if I would get a different person to help me but the language barrier was too strong. This person just told me to hold the power button for a sustained period of time and then let it go and wait a half hour before I plug the TV in. He said I could use the time to locate my receipt. Gee, thanks. Now seeing that there are so many unhappy purchasers I wish I had done research before I bought this brand. I will never recommend it to anyone and I will warn my friends and loved ones not to buy it. Also, I am going to call the Attorney General Office and see if they can help me or direct me to someone who can. I want their office to be aware of the many complaints against this company. I purchased the tv in July 2013. On October 10, 2014, the screen basically died! The audio is fine, and all the other TVs in the house are fine (not Insignia!) so not a cable issue. I am told it is a bad LED screen and is out of warranty. I do not have $500 to throw around once a year for a product that should have lived longer than 1 year and 90 days! Bad product. And Insignia is not interested in working with this consumer to compromise some satisfactory resolution.

Bought a new 40" Insignia TV yesterday at 10:15 am. Took it home. Hooked it up to our DISH receiver. Greta black and white picture... rainbow flash of color across the top... no sound... Called Dish, verified everything was fine with that hookup. They gave me INSIGNIA"s phone number... I could not understand him. He could not understand me... Sounded like he was going to charge me for his help. Wanted my name, address, phone, etc... I hung up and called Best Buy tech support. By 2:15 pm they told me I had a lemon and to take it back. Foolishly we got the same 40" Insignia TV. Brought it home... same, no color or sound. Spent the next 4 hours with DISH... who decided I needed to upgrade my receiver. This morning after less than 24 hours, I am taking TV 2 back for my money and going elsewhere.

I bought the Ns-l46x-10a Insignia TV from Best Buy in 2010 and after 3 yrs all the HDMI ports failed. The "GeekSquad" says the motherboard has to be replaced for about $280. Checking online, I found that a VERY LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE had/have the same problem. I feel bad that I had recommended this TV to a number of friends after 1 year experience...

I bought a 55" Insignia LCD HDTV at Best Buy in November of 2012. It is now September 2014, and a TV repair company told me it would cost me $280 + $40 repair visit to get the Insignia fixed. I bought the TV from Best Buy for $599, and it makes me extremely angry that I purchased something for that much, and it only lasted one year and eleven months. I was told by the Best Buy representative that this TV was a good TV, and that Samsung is the manufacturer. That Best Buy had them make TV"s for their own brand "Insignia". Well obviously I was fed a line, and unfortunately I bit in. My recommendation to anyone interested in reading this....never buy an Insignia brand of anything!!

TV which was on a new surge arrester outlet strip dropped dead after only being installed for only 17 months. Bought it for my Mother-in-law who generally only watches in the evening. Best Buy charged me 38.90 to look at it and now want $30.00 more than the entire LCD TV cost including tax to get a power board for it to see what else might be wrong. After consulting online now I find that a huge percentage of the people who have bought this model all now have busted TV"s. Perhaps this model should have been recalled so I and others wouldn"t suffer with inconvenience and loss. Class action lawsuit anywhere?

I bought my 36 inch Insignia TV from Best Buy in April 2012 for a little over $500. The TV worked fine until a tiny hot pixel began growing on the left side of my screen. Over the past weeks, the pixel has stretched all the way to the top of my screen and has ruined the picture completely. After calling the Insignia manufacturing company, they informed me the two year warranty had expired. They said that I"d need a new picture tube, which would cost $400. I am sure you can understand how frustrating this is. The TV is only 2 in a half years old and should not be falling apart. I will never purchase another Insignia TV ever again. I want to warn others so they don"t make the same mistake as me.

I have had my 32-inch Insignia TV approximately 3 years. During the first two years, the TV stopped coming on several times. Each time, an Insignia technician came to my home to fix it. The TV would work for about four months, stop working again, and a technician would come to my home to repair it again. Now that the warranty that comes with the TV has expired, the TV has stopped working again. My options are to pay $200 to have the TV repaired or do without one until I can afford to buy a new NON-INSIGNIA TV. Neither option appeals to me. However, I will never put one penny towards another Insignia TV, so the second option is my only choice. Best Buy should be sued for misrepresenting to its customers that Insignia TVs work consistently (as do normal TVs) when the reality is that the Insignia brand only works sporadically.

We bought the 42" Insignia a little over 2 years ago. Recently it has started shutting off by itself. You try turning it back on by the TV itself or the remote and it immediately turns off. It will click several times but will never come back on. Very disappointed in this. A $400 TV should last more than 2 years. Will never buy another Insignia.
