You can therefore create the screen layout you want with just a few, easily understood commands. All the commands are based on coordinate specifications and can therefore be applied and moved to the nearest pixel.
Helpful for the development, but also powerful for 1st. steps is the simulator software for the EA eDIP240-7. With that internal EEPROM can be used to define some pre-defined screen layouts. Software is available for can be downloaded here immediately: LCD Tools for Windows.
Like all DIP modules, the displays are simply inserted in the PCB and soldered in place. No screws, distance sleeves or cables are required, thus saving material costs and simplifying construction. This results in a saving of between 2 and 4 minutes per module during assembly!
Optionally, we can also supply this display with an analog touch panel which can be used for all types of input. An integrated touch controller is responsible for representing and labelling the keys as well as for their interpretation. What is more, the shape, size and number of the keys can be modified whenever required at runtime. This permits a clear, well-organized screen layout that helps eliminate operating errors.

The use of a transflective polarizer enables the display background to be brightened using sunlight (similar to a mirror). Transflectivedisplays, i.e. readable by sunlight, can be found in the EA DOG series, in the EA DIP Displays and in the EA eDIP series (linked here)
For colour displays this technique is extremely expensive. Therefore, an extremely bright backlight is constructed to enable reading even in sunlight. Sunlight-readable displays need a brightness of at least 1000cd/m². Our EA uniTFTs series for example is definitely sunlight readable.
If a device is installed outdoors (outdoor) or is to be read there as a handheld device, it is essential to ensure that it is legible in sunlight. Reading or readability in the direct sun depends on many parameters. Let us advise you: email

How to work with Intelligent Graphic Displays No more „pixel programming“ instead, efficient operation w/extensive drawing functions & fonts. Advantages include: * no time-consuming graphics programming * drastically reduced time-to-market * tested functions validated thousands of times * unparalleled flexibility due to powerful commands * compact construction * clear price advantage compared to individualized solutions Powerful commands Includes touch key with menu function, clipboard, bar graph, centered strings. Quickly create the screen layout you want with easily understood commands....

The EA eDIP series of displays are the world’s first displays with integrated intelligence. In addition to a variety of integrated fonts that can be used with pixel accuracy, they offer a whole range of sophisticated graphics functions.
The displays are ready for operation immediately with an operating voltage of 5V. They are controlled via one of the 3 integrated interfaces: RS-232, SPI or I²C. The displays are “programmed” by means of high-level language-type graphics commands. There is no longer any need for the time-consuming programming of character sets and graphics rou

Simply create attractive layouts without writing lots of code. Download our free software and experience how easy it is to create perfect looking layouts. Mix graphics and text freely, import BMP, JPEG, GIF and animated GIF images, select landscape or portrait mode. It provides the ideal platform for development of interactive controls. For example, a virtual keyboard, analogue rotary instrument or bar graphs can be generated on the screen with just a few simple commands.
The display also provides acoustic feedback into an 8 ohm speaker. Sounds ranging from simple clicks, notes or jingles acting as warning or status messages. TrueType fonts are easy imported with the free development software. The onboard 4MB memory stores images, animations and macros. Text can be mixed with graphics, pictures and gif animations.
Pre-integrated with all driving electronics, flash memory, backlight drivers, I/O and optional touch-screen functionality, the display is ready to be connected by serial, SPI or I²C interface to the host processor or when using a simple level converter USB, RS-232 or RS-485 is available. Additionally the unit features two analogue inputs, 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs.
An evaluation kit EA EVAL-eDIPTFT70 is available to help your EA eDIPTFT57 or eDIPTFT70 development started. The evaluation kit has USB, RS232, RS485 interface for connection to the free development software on the PC.
The EA DOG display family spans character and graphic displays with the formats of 1×8, 2×16, 3×16, 102×64, 132×32, 128×64 and 160×104. These displays are available in a variety of colours by combination of the display glass and 5 different colour backlights or a full RGB backlight. The overall height is only 2mm or 6.5 mm with LED backlight. Supply voltage +3.3V to 5V for the alphanumeric displays and +3.3V for graphic displays. For all displays a 4 wire analogue touch-screen is available.
Universal Frequency-to-Digital Converters (UFDC-1) with RS232, SPI and I2C interface. These transducers can measure frequency signals, RPM, pulse, PWM with an accuracy of 0.0005% .

MMS Electronics supplies and stocks a wide range of mini graphic displays in LCD, OLED and TFT technologies from European display supplier DISPLAY VISIONS. The displays are available with optional analogue touch panels.
The micro-displays are hardly bigger than a stamp and are available in both OLED and IPS-TFT technology offering sharp contrast in all viewing directions.
The EA W096016 OLED displays are 0.84 inches diagonally with a resolution of 96 x 16 white pixels and active area (AA) of 21 x 3.5 mm. For OLED displays no extra LED backlight is required as the OLED pixels illuminate. This results that the display is only 1.3 mm thick. The integrated graphic controller is SSD1306B is. The operating temperature for these displays is between -40°C to +80°Celsius and unchanged short response time of 10 microseconds. The EA W096016-ALW module has an I²C interface bus with flex stamp solder tail and the EA W096016-BLW has an I²C interface bus and SPI interface with a 34mm flex for a ZIF plug connection.
The EA TFT009-81 colour IPS_TFT displays are 0.96 inches diagonally with a resolution of 160x80 pixels and active area (AA) of 22 x 11 mm. The IPS technology with All Angle Colour Stability (AACS) provides unchanged colour and contrasts even with changing viewing angles. They can be used without loss in quality in portrait (80 x 160) or landscape mode (160 x 80). The brightness of the EA TFT009-81 display is typically 500 cd/m² and is readable in direct sunlight. Applications can be found in instrumentation, industry and medicine. The display is only 1.5 mm thick (without touch panel). The integrated graphic controller is ST7735S and has a 3 or 4-wire SPI interface with flex stamp solder tail. The EA TFT009-81AITC version has a PCAP touch panel. The touch panel is controlled via the I²C bus interface and flex for a ZIF plug connection.
All micro- and mini-displays are readily available in small or large production quantities from MMS Electronics. These graphic displays have long term product availability and highly recommended for use in new designs. To speed up the design cycle Arduino and Raspberry Pico sample code for the EA TFT009-81AINN is available. The RaPicoTFT009 and RaPicoTFT009TC with PCAP is a shield (display and PCB) that plugs directly onto the Raspberry Pico.
