gpio 5-inch 800x480 tft lcd brands
This is a 5 inch mini HDMI resistive touch screen with 800*480 resolutionfor Raspberry Pi, the high resolution will provide a large viewing screen for Raspberry Pi. Compared with another type of 5-inch display for Raspberry Pi, the backlight of this 5-inch display can be controlled by Raspberry Pi GPIO pin 11. Generally, the backlight is on, then input a high level, and it will turn off. The Pin 11 control a MOS tube switch on or off, the MOS tube switch will enable and disable the EN end of the backlight power IC. This design makes it convenient to control the backlight when we put the display into a product and safe power at the same time.
Raspberry Pi leads out 40 GPIO pins, while the screen leads out 26 pins. When connecting, pay attention to the corresponding pins and Raspberry Pi pins.
ER-TFTM050-3 is 800x480 dots 5" color tft lcd module display with RA8875 controller board, superior display quality, super wide viewing angle and easily controlled by MCU such as 8051, PIC, AVR, ARDUINO,and ARM .It can be used in any embedded systems, industrial device, security and hand-held equipment which requires display in high quality and colorful image.
It supports 8080 6800 8-bit,16-bit parallel,3-wire,4-wire,I2C serial spi interface. Built-in MicroSD card slot. It"s optional for 4-wire resistive touch panel (IC RA8875 built-in touch controller),capacitive touch panel with controller, font chip, flash chip and microsd card. We offer two types connection, one is pin header and the another is ZIF connector with flat cable.Mounting on board by default. There is no capacitive touch panel connection on the board of ER-TFTM050-3,its capacitive touch panel needs to be connected with your external board. Now we design another new board with capacitive touch connection named_ER-TFTM050A2-3.
Of course, we wouldn"t just leave you with a datasheet and a "good luck!".Here is the link for5" TFT capacitive touch shield with libraries, examples, schematic diagram for Arduino Due,Mega 2560 and Uno. For 8051 microcontroller user,we prepared the detailed tutorial such as interfacing, demo code and development kit at the bottom of this page.
When you design a Raspberry Pi project, you must choose the right display and screens. You may encounter with so many sizes and types of HDMI displays, resistive touch displays, TFT displays, e-ink displays and displays with cool RGB colors.
Raspberry Pi full color TFT display module with HDMI port is a 5 inch (12.7 cm) standard display with the resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. This is a mini panel-mountable HDMI monitor, with capacitive touch screen, which supports for 5-point touch control, USB touch, free drive. It"s compatible with mainstream mini PCs such as Raspberry Pi, BB Black, Banana Pi. When it used as a Raspberry Pi monitor, it supports Raspbian, Ubuntu, WIN10 IOT and other systems, single touch, drive-free.
The backlight of this display can be controlled by Raspberry Pi GPIO pin 11. The design of the display makes it convenient to control the backlight when it is used in a product and power saving is required. It can be used with any computer that has an HDMI output, too.
The resolution of the LCD display is 800 x 480, you can configure the resolution via software, and the maximum resolution it supports is 1920 x 1080. It is a USB capacitive touch screen and does not require a driver. It supports five touch control, besides that, the LCD screen comes with an OSD menu adjustment function. You can adjust the contrast, brightness, and switch button. There are 9 interfaces on the back of the screen, one earphone for audio output; two touches (USB connector), for power supply and touch output; one display, an HDMI interface, for connecting the motherboard and LCD display. One power, it can control the backlight to turn on and turn off to save power. One return, it’s only useful in the OSD menu. One right/down, backlight shortcut key. One left/up, backlight shortcut key. A menu, it’s useful in the OSD setting menu, open the OSD/ select key.
Note: This page listed the 5-inch 800 x 480 5-point Touchscreen with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B kits. Please choose the preferred choice under "Available Options":
This 5" (5-inch) TFT touchscreen screen/display with a resolution of 800 x 480 is perfect for your Raspberry Pi boards. With a DSI interface, true color display, easy installation, and space-saving design, it is a perfect touchscreen monitor for your DIY and on-the-go projects! What we like about this screen is the DSI cable provides the path for both the power and data (graphic and touch sensor), no additional wiring is needed! Super neat.
Note: We notice the WiFi connection on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B will be slow. However, it will still connect to WiFi AP :) Just a little more time. We believed this is due to the PCB antenna on the Raspberry Pi board, and the DSI cable is near that antenna; the wireless signal will be attenuated a little bit. Using the PCB Spacers (included) to increase the gap between the LCD and Raspberry Pi will help.
Good display effect. TFT drive timing and circuit design have been optimized to ensure accurate color reduction, display a stable, eliminate flicker or channeling color and offers LED backlight driver, you can adjust the brightness from 0 (off) to 16 (fully open).
