Installation in theary was simple but made a little more difficult by the construction of the Clevo laptop, the front frame is part of the hinge mechanism, that just made things a bit more fiddly, the ony real problem was the inverter cable which was about 2‘ shorter than the original so it necessitated cutting off the cable from the original screen and soldering it on as an extension to the new screen.

The backlight in my clevo P950EP6 (15.6" defiance v from pcspecialist) has come loose. If I tilt the screen too far back (past about 80 degrees) the backlight turns off, rendering the display largely illegible. I"ve already checked the status of the motherboard connectors and both are fine, so I believe the connector on the display end is loose.
