I have two monitors, an older Samsung (SyncMaster 245bw) and a new BenQ connected to an MD A8-7600 Radeon R7 adapter. There are 3 display ports on the computer - Analog (RGB), DVI and HDMI. The BenQ has an HDMI port, so I connect it that way. When I connect

the Samsung through the analog port I can set up dual monitors and everything works fine. When I connect the Samsung through the DVI it goes black and the system promptly sees both monitors as one, but won"t display anything except a black screen on the Samsung

Radeon settings sees both monitors no matter how they"re connected, but Windows display settings refuses to see the Samsung when connected through DVI. It sees it just fine through Analog.

I"ve attempted (temporarily) swapping the 190 out with a Dell D3100. It"s unable to drive the two monitors it is responsible for at 1440p, however even running them at 1080p the flashing/flickering issue still presents.

Interestingly I can reliably reproduce it by opening dark theme VS Code on the bottom center monitor, opening DisplayLink Manager on top of it (as a small window), then selecting one of the displays within DL Manager, selecting the resolution drop down and scrolling up and down the list with my mouse scroll. I don"t have to select any of the options, the act of scrolling is enough to trigger it.

Further testing using the drop-down scroll method listed above has shown the issue still occuring even when both the 190 and the 3100 are disconnected, leaving only the 570. This suggests it may not have anything to do with the multi-dock setup and it could just be a side effect of how DisplayLink is refreshing the display?

I have had an issue regarding my computer for about a month now. Every now and them, no matter what task I"m doing on my PC, both of my monitors will continuously flicker/tear and eventually turn a solid color. I could turn off/idle my computer for hours and the issue would immediately come back. Usually I have to sit and wait for the monitors to come back or either tap my case to get my display back. I don"t know where exactly the issue resides but I am desperately open to suggestions.

Yes, we have swapped the ports. Just an observation, but the problem seems to always occur on either the 1st or the 4th monitor (either left or right edge of the 4 ports on the Video Card). Another odd observation, but when we swap the cables to different ports, often times the computer will recognize that the monitors themselves haven"t moved and keeps the display identity the same (when it assigns the display number to each monitor, seen by clicking Identify in Display Properties).

The second step which I usually do in order to verify display problems is to check and update the graphic drivers. The reason for this is the following: corrupted drivers very often lead to unexpected behavior like: screen blinking and artefacts. Checking drivers is done by:
