I have two Danby Silhouette Wine Coolers that came with my house when I purchased it. I live in a townhome complex and the builder used these same wine coolers in all of our units. They all have stopped working (8 in total). My neighbors have replaced theirs but I am determined to find a solution to repair mine. It seems such a waste for a big machine to stop working and not have a repair. I have had a Danby recommended repair company come out to look at them but they said the unit is discontinued and they can not get the parts any more. It really is such a shame to waste so many $1200 units. I would greatly appreciate any assistance this wonderful community can provide and help me find a way to save these beautiful coolers.

What should my next steps be? I am located in Houston, TX if anyone is located here I would love the opportunity to pay for your help in fixing these two units.

Fear not, your wine collection is OK for days or even weeks outside of a perfectly controlled temperature environment (unless it"s VERY hot or cold) but we want to help you to fix the problem fast so you can get back to enjoying your wine collection again.

Your wine cooler is probably not cooling due to one (or a combination) of the following issues with: the power supply, thermostat, external heat sources (oven), a ventilation blockage, lack of airflow, a fan problem or the door. Switch the unit OFF and ON. If the fridge doesn"t light up there"s probably a major issue with the mains power or the PSU circuit board in the product (that"ll likely need replacing if it"s faulty). If that"s the case you"ll need to seek the help of Danby directly or a qualified refrigeration technician.

If the the Danby wine fridge thermostat is working correctly it"s responsible for making the condenser, evaporator, fan and compressor work - so it"s super important!

I own a 2012 Danby silhouette dbc2760bls wine fridge that was working great until one night I had to manually shutoff the circuit breaker that the fridge was plugged into. When I turned the breaker back on the fridge did not turn on (there is power coming from the original plug and I have plugged it into many working outlets with no luck.   If anyone has any ideas on if this is something that might be an easy fix to at least try before calling a repair place I would greatly appreciate it..
