If it’s cracked, but it powers up and you can get a reasonable sense of what you’re tapping—if the device even registers your finger-pressing—you can just factory reset it the normal way. After you have disconnected the touch screen, remove it gently without damaging the LCD screen. If the LCD screen gets damaged, you must replace the whole stereo component. Hence, be extra careful here.

Trying to Factory reset a sharp MX-2600N with a broken touchscreen. I can see what is displayed but not click or tap on any buttons. Therefore I can following the instructions for hard-reset (below) right up until the "Reset admin password: yes / no"? question. Not sure how to say yes without tapping the touchscreen.

If memory serves me correctly, you hit the execute button, then the yes button and it will then reset the password back to admin.
