As an example I am using a 3.2” TFT Touch Screen in a combination with a TFT LCD Arduino Mega Shield. We need a shield because the TFT Touch screen works at 3.3V and the Arduino Mega outputs are 5 V. For the first example I have the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, then for the second example an RGB LED with three resistors and a push button for the game example. Also I had to make a custom made pin header like this, by soldering pin headers and bend on of them so I could insert them in between the Arduino Board and the TFT Shield.
Here’s the circuit schematic. We will use the GND pin, the digital pins from 8 to 13, as well as the pin number 14. As the 5V pins are already used by the TFT Screen I will use the pin number 13 as VCC, by setting it right away high in the setup section of code.

Through the analysis of the products or exhibits launched by manufacturers in recent years, we can see that the car display market has also undergone great changes.
In the beginning, it was a proper central control screen, and then the car display gradually spread to the onboard instrument, head display, window, etc., and its appearance also changed, such as large size, curved, shaped, built-in, etc., with increasingly high resolution. What’s interesting is that the latest 5G and autonomous driving technologies are likely to push car displays to higher specifications.

According to the statistics of IHS, the market research institute, the global vehicle panel shipments in 2018 were 161 million, an annual increase of 9.4%, among which, the central control display panel is the largest application market, with shipments of 78.3 million, 60.8 million and 22.4 million for other applications.

Tianma’s 8.8-inch e-mirror adopts a new panel design, featuring ultra-narrow frame, -40℃-95℃ wide temperature, high brightness display, etc. Meanwhile, depending on dimming glass, it can switch between rearview Mirror and streaming media function freely.
It is said that this is a rare metal oxide small size LCD product in China, which has been mass-produced this year and is very power-saving and may be able to solve the problem of insufficient battery life in the future.
Although LCD technology has been widely used, it is still in the process of further innovation. At present, improving resolution and high-cost performance ratio is the inevitable direction of display industry development. More exquisite picture quality and clearer details can bring more real visual experience to the audience. HKC that does not exhibit easily all along also brought display technology and innovation products this time. The first one is Fission Cell display technology, which will truly achieve double resolution, color saturation, color depth, and dynamic response rate.
In order to make the LCD liquid crystal display performance reach the performance level of OLED self-luminous display, the Fission Cell technology not only has the contrast beyond the current OLED (500000:1), but its color performance is also improved compared with the current OLED display, and it can be combined with the dual-screen hybrid black insertion technology. Improving the low LCD display response rate to the same level as OLED’s, and its cost is much lower than the same size OLED display, can become a cost-effective market choice.
Another product that HKC showed is Wallpaper TV. With a thickness of only 6.9mm, this wallpaper has a narrow bezel design and an ultra-lightweight module design, which gives the product a minimalist concept and a 4K ultra-clear display for a highly reproducible viewing experience.
