(I seem to somewhat recall that there are other more sinister reasons why the back lights don’t work but can’t quite recall what the reason for that was). The backlights are strips that have LEDs on them that provide the backlight. Check the label that is glued to your LCD panel. There will be a model number listed for your panel. Use that number and do an online search for backlight strips. It’s a bit of a PITA to replace since you will have to disassemble the LCD panel but it is absolutely doable. Yours is a large panel so make sure that you keep it an a level surface and do not flex it. It is easily ruined. Also, remember that Vizio uses a hodgepodge of parts and their quality of manufacturing is at best mediocre you do want to go ahead and check that all cables are properly seated and that all the connector are still properly soldered to their respective boards.
