These model cars, trucks, and SUV"s have a recall on their instrument cluster"s stepper motors. These clusters are known for their problematic stepper motors that cause the gauges to get stuck or become erratic and inaccurate. They also have backlighting problems. Also, they develop problems with their gear position indicator display (PRND321) becoming dim or not lighting up at all. Some 2003 & 2004 models develop power problems that causes the whole cluster to lose power including the digital odometer (with the exception of the backlights, turn signals, and check engine light).
