The Game Boy (DMG-01 model) is a Nintendo manufactured portable handheld released initially in 1987. For v4 kits, the display on the LCD may be misaligned to the viewport; holding the brightness wheel will bring up an options display, where you can adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the image to align it with the console viewport

You can’t buy a new replacement screen unfortunately. Not only is it very difficult to remove the screen, it’s impossible to buy a replacement. They’d be better showing us how to fix a screen. There’s plenty of videos on YT showing how to fix blank vertical line but hardly any on how to fix horizontal lines, and the ones that do don’t work very well.

When the grid line mode is turned on, some game scenes will flash when switching, which is a refresh problem of the motherboard of the game machine itself. There will also be on the original screen, but the original screen refresh rate is so slow that it is not easy to find.

Due to the limitation of the early technology, the DMG motherboard adopts analog sound and has a Noise floor. The assembly of IPS LCD will increase the current of the host and increase the Noise floor, but it is subtle and difficult to detect at a distance of 10cm.
