I am a DOP with over 40 years in the business . I needed a new portable HD monitor as my original Panasonic 17” monitors are showing age (like me ). I wanted lighter and brighter and economical. I ordered this before traveling at the end of last year - and it arrived quickly while we were gone . I opened it up and spent several hours testing and learning the large menu . It’s bright - easy to adjust brightness and audio out - easy to get into blue only to set up. It has many many advanced features I will never use at this point . I do want to play around with the built in luts - most of my luts can be sent out of my Sony cameras (f5 and FS7M2) but may be purchasing an FX3 soon so the built in luts may fit the bill - and advanced shooters can add their own luts in. But out of the box my monitor seems to match my old heavy Panasonic 17 inch hd monitors.

I do wish that you could combine multiple images on the monitor - which I do with my on camera Odyssey 7q. Maybe an upgraded model ? You cannot send out HDMI to another monitor from the one SDI out - I do wish it had a switched out- this is a wonderfully designed monitor and that seems like an easy update as my 15+ year old Panasonics have it for SDI inputs . I really love the case - lighter. I really recommend leaving it in the included soft bag - it has extra reinforcement for c stand mounting . I will pick up an extra Mathew’s 5/16 knurled knob to replace the included knob as another user did .

I have always used one of my Panasonic monitors in the Petrol bag I have on a monitor stand. And I like the built in sunshade on the Megamom bag. Be patient and read the manual ! I saw a You Tube review where obviously someone did not read the manual . And Osee tech answered my pre sale questions quickly . I was a bit disappointed that the Osee website price is higher than B&H and Adorama but with a holiday discount it was only 50 dollars more - I wanted to buy from the manufacturer store to set up a relationship if I had issues . And it made sense as I wanted the screen protector which was extra and all had free shipping. For now I have a lighter monitor in a great carrying case ! I will see how this holds up with my crews on the road !
