After completing the swap out, I was initially very happy. The screen looked good, and responded well to touch. But, I wanted to give it a few days to shake down.

The first problem that I noticed was periodic artifacts while reading a screen of mostly text. Black "smudges" of garbled text appear randomly on the screen, but move with scrolling. This is indicative of display driver faults. Then I noticed pink and green smears that periodically come and go, independent of scrolling. This is indicative of screen hardware issues.

Lastly, while attempting to use the S Pen to take notes, I found the screen to be entirely unresponsive. Further testing showed that only one corner of the screen was responsive to the S Pen, and that attempts to draw evenly spaced straight lines were met with horribly spaced calibration and dead spots.
