AcquaLink® multifunction TFT Displays are available in 4.3" and 7" sizes. The full 24 bit/16 m colors optically bonded displays feature transmissive layer technology for unprecedented and unsurpassed readability even in direct sunlight. The TFT Display shows a wide array of data received from the AcquaLink® NavBox or NMEA 2000®. Users can customize up to 40 different data pages with single, double, treble or quad grid layouts.

TFT Displays can be daisy-chained with other AcquaLink® gauges, displays or NavControls using the unique VDO Marine Bus or directly connected to the NMEA 2000® backbone (optional adapter cable required) for simple installation on any yacht.

7" TFTs are equipped with capacitive multi touch screens to slide between pages whereas 4.3" displays require the use of a NavControl unit for data input and operation.

Designed for use with the PMX-8BB, the PMX-8DH full function wired display head is the ultimate controller for your digital media system. The unit features a ultra bright 5" TFT display designed and chosen for its viewing ability even in full sunlight. The screen is optically wet bonded to the bezel to prevent any dust or moisture penetration ensuring it stays clean and clear.Access to the Custom GUI interface is provided through the water resistant rotary encoder knob and white LED back-lit buttons allow you to easily adjust the illumination levels of the panel and provide instant sub level control at your fingertips. The display head also features a composite video input for video or camera systems and easy interconnection to the hide away unit with a multi-pin DIN connector.The panel is IPX6 rated for water spray intrusion and features a conformal coated PCB circuit board protecting the vital electronics. We further validate the unit with 500 hours of testing under both the ASTM B117 and D4329 testing standards to make sure it will hold up under years of daily use exposed to the elements.

Optical bonding is the the process of attaching a glass/plastic/filter substrate or touch panel to an LCD module. Optically clear adhesive (OCA) is placed between the cover substrate and LCD to completely fill in air gap. The assembly is UV-cured, fixing the display and substrate together while solidifying the gel, creating an optically brilliant and ruggedized display solution.
