I purchased 2 of these to work side by side, and they work as advertised. The screens fold down to make it easier to draw or write items. The response on these is exactly what you hope it would be. These are not as "fine" as my surface laptop screen when I draw - these do not have that same preciseness that I have on my Surface and Lenovo Thinkpad. These ViewSonics are good for touch buttons and some rougher drawing (draw larger boxes in OneNote, etc...).

I chose Viewsonic TD2455 over the Dell and the Lenovo monitorss because the Viewsonic came with the pens to draw on the screen (you can find these easily on Amazon), and these also came with all the cables necessary to connect (Display Port and USB cables). Additionally, these monitors support daisy chaining the Display Port cables (helps a bit in the cable management category). These monitors also have USB ports on the left side of each monitor, which is helpful if you need to charge something or connect something quickly.

If you have 2 of these, you have to tell Windows 11 which monitor is which for the touchscreen, so that the touch applies to the right monitor. Control Panel (view by category) --> Hardware and Sound --> Tablet PC Settings --> Setup. That took me a while to figure out.

Additionally, there is a Calibrate color section, and another calibrate for where edges of the screen are located. I did not find it necessary but did these at the behest of Tech Support. What I learned is that these came configured well, right out of the box. In windows 11, the calibrate is not where the tech support people were telling me it is. It was actually in Control Panel (view by category) --> Hardware & Sound --> Tablet PC Settings --> Calibrate (select the correct monitor).

As a big note: I was going to send these monitors back after 1 day because the touchscreens were only enabled ~50% of the time after booting up. I had to unplug and replug in the display to get the touchscreen to work after each bootup. This happened on both touchscreens, so it was not a screen or cable issue. After a month of emailing with US Tech Support people we found the solution is to use the older USB 2.0 ports, and not the newer USB 3.2 ports. After switching both monitors to USB to USB 2.0 ports, the touchscreens work 100% of the time. This is on a brand new Dell XPS 8950. Also to note is most of the 1-month delay was me not being at the monitor each day to try out the scenarios - mostly due to my own delays and not ViewSonic tech support.

I"ve searched through the various support forums here and on other sites and have found that other users have experienced similar problems to mine, but I haven"t found anyone with the same exact problem. I believe I read somewhere that using multiple monitors with different resolutions is not officially supported by Citrix, but I"m hoping someone has a work-around, as nothing I have found seems to solve my issue and the Citrix Workspace application is mostly useless for me at this point.

I have a Microsoft Surface Book running Windows 10 Pro with a native resolution of 3000x2000. In the display settings, I have the "Change size of text, apps and other items" parameter within the "Scale and Layout" section in the Display properties set to 200% for the primary display. I use a Surface Dock, which is connected to a full-size keyboard and mouse, portal SSD drive and two identical Viewsonic external LCD monitors.

Both monitors are running at a resolution of 1920x1080. In the display settings, I have the "Change size of text, apps and other items" parameter within the "Scale and Layout" section in the Display properties set to 100% for these two secondary displays. I have read elsewhere that one of the suggestions is to set the resolution of all monitors the same, but I do NOT want to change the native resolution on the Surface Book to match the secondary monitors and replacing those monitors simply isn"t an option.

Our company runs several applications within the Citrix environment, so in addition to my normal desktop applications, there are several programs that I need to run from either a direct Citrix shortcut, or via Citrix remote desktop, which I believe is running Windows 7. The stand-alone Citrix applications that I run via direct shortcut stay windowed and running only on one monitor, as desired and expected. However, the remote desktop session always opens in full screen mode and spans across all three monitors, which is NOT what I want.

If I press the Shift-F2 keys, the Citrix desktop switches to windowed mode, allowing me to resize and move the window to just one monitor, but the desktop is messed up and unusable, presumably due to the difference in resolution and/or DPI. The start menu bar isn"t positioned correctly and the mouse position is wrong, meaning the active area is 2-3 inches away from where I click. I usually have to force close the window in order to exit, as there"s no way to click on the "Start" menu. See screenshot1 attached.

I am running what I believe is the latest version of the Citrix Workspace app, 19.2.0.10(1902). Within the advanced preferences of the Citrix Workspace application, there is a "High DPI" section with three possible settings (Yes, No, Let operating system decide). I have tried all three options with no success. See screenshot2 attached. I would be grateful for any ideas or suggestions for potential solutions.

There must be network connectivity between the VDA hosting the session and the machines connecting to the shared sessions. Network port requirements are based on ICA ports in use (TCP/UDP 1494 or 2598) and the Screen sharing policy configuration (TCP 52525 to 52625 by default).

Screen sharing must be enabled using Citrix policies. Screen sharing is disabled by default. Configure the screen sharing policy to enable or disable the function and assign the usable network port range.

To share a session, look for the HDX graphics status indicator icon on the Windows notification area. Right-click on it to display the menu and select Screen share > Share my screen.

Click OK or the x to close the dialog box. The connection code can be retrieved from the Screen share > Connection code menu option at any time while the session is shared.

To connect to someone else’s sessions, look for the HDX graphics status indicator icon on the Windows notification area. Right-click on it to display the menu and select Screen share > View someone else’s screen.

The screen sharing viewer application is included with the VDA in C:\Program Files\Citrix\HDX\bin\TwPlayer.exe and might be deployed as a published application using a Virtual Apps Server. This alternative deployment model allows collaboration with users that don’t have access to a virtual desktop.

The number of users allowed to connect to a shared session can be limited using the network port range in the screen sharing policy. One port is required per user. The default range allows 100 users at most.

You can share a client computer’s screen, or the administrator’s screen, with any number of clients. The clients you share with see whatever is on the shared screen. You can control your own screen when sharing it, but you can’t control another client’s screen when sharing it.

The shared screen will be shown full screen on the clients. To allow users to access their desktops and see the shared screen in a resizable window, deselect this checkbox.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Search (or if you"re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search), enter Tablet PC Settings, and then tap or click Tablet PC Settings.

Whenever you leave your computer unattended, you should either turn it off or manually activate the screen lock that requires you to enter your password to resume working. You should manually lock your screen even if your device is configured for an automatic screenlock after a set number of minutes. Locking your display screen will protect the information stored on or accessible from your device.

When you manually lock your screen, the computer is continuing to run in the background, so you don"t need to close out of documents or apps. You are just putting the display to sleep. You"ll be able to quickly unlock the screen when you return, without restarting your computer.
