I bought this for my son for Christmas. First one arrived, was defective, screen would flash and go on and off. Returned for a replacement. So be prepared for that, it is basically a monitor, and when the box arrived for the first one it was beat to hell. The case itself feels very cheap, weighs about 5 pounds maybe without the screen. Paint chips easily, so be careful. It does have removable pcie slot covers instead of the push out kind alot of cheap cases have, so thats a plus. It is pretty easy to build in. The biggest issue with this case is the cheap fans that come with it. They are not even pwm, they are 3 pin, in a $200.00 case. But again your paying for the screen. There are only 3 mounting points for fans which is pretty bad. Would be better if it had 2 in the front instead of the side mounted. Or if they included top or bottom spots for fans. Do your self a favor, this thing is a little hotbox, buy some quality high rpm fans to replace the ones that come with it. I bought a set of Be Quite silent wings fans for it. The temps for the gpu dropped like 20 degrees. And you can actually feel cooler air being exhausted.

I would still recommend this case for that screen, but I wouldn"t put any hot running components or plan on extreme overclocking in this case, you will cook your components. My son has an I5 10-400 paired with a 2060 super and the temps are reasonable, with the new fans.

First off, I had an issue unrelated to quality or the product in general. XYGStudy was able to get my issue solved quickly and had great communication.

In terms of the display, it is a very beautiful display. Personally I spray painted black the entire face of the unit to get rid of the grey bezel around it with no issues. I just wish the ribbon cable wasn"t on the bottom side of the display - but I was able to paint it black with no issues.

The case is nice, I just wish it covered the sides of the display a little more. But I really like how sturdy and clean the backplate is. It can protect the back of the PCB and the ribbons and ICs on it. Personally, I didn"t use the screws, but used the screws and double sided tape to adhere the two pieces together. After it was stuck on straight, I removed the screws.

The Divider 550 TG Ultra"s USP is clearly its front embedded display panel. If not for this add-in, it would be a pretty standard hefty ATX case with a lot of tempered glass and room for a full sized (5.25 inch) optical drive to slot into the top.

From the images it looks like Thermaltake has decided to craft an LCD screen to fit into such a gap, but sadly the display area doesn"t fill the space, as it has quite significant bezels. Thermaltake quite breathlessly describes this 3.9 inch LCD screen as "a new way to monitor your PC’s performance and at the same time to show your own personality." In 2022 it might be more useful than an optical drive bay, but it isn"t revolutionary.

The display can be used for various monitoring and personal styling purposes. You customize what is on the display using the TT RGB Plus 2.0 software. This allows you to display any still images or animated GIFs. More practical uses of the display are for processor and RAM monitoring. For processors you can monitor temperature, frequency, load, and other real-time stats of your CPU and GPU. For memory you can use the display for checking capacity, frequency, temperature and load. Moreover, the display can sync with other Thermaltake components like the AiO cooler range.

From the front you will also see Thermaltake has boldly fitted a trio of RGB fans. These are also configured using TT RGB Plus 2.0 software. Users can make the fan lighting work in harmony with the LCD display. Alternatively, it is possible to control and sync the fan LEDs with RGB motherboard software from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock. Anti software bloat purists can decide to control the fan lighting using the dedicated RGB button on the I/O panel. This button turns the RGB LEDs on and off and cycles through 27 color schemes and modes.

That more or less covers the Thermaltake Divider 550 TG Ultra"s "special sauce" that center around its triple RGB fan and LCD display fronted appearance.
