fluke 87 lcd screen manufacturer
I didn"t find a replacement LCD, but I did end up buying another "as-is" Fluke 87 with faded display recently. After cleaning the zebra strips, PCB and glass that one is working great. The new meter was also missing case screws but I found an ebay seller who was willing to sell me enough to complete both meters with some spares left over. I swapped the LCD modules between my two 87s and found that the good and bad LCDs behave the same in both meters, so I am certain the cracked LCD is the cause of the problem. I have noticed that LCDs for the 87V are widely available, does anyone know if they can be used in an original 87?
