Reason: The hooks on the backight of ER-TFT032-3.1 is always complained by most customers for inconvenient assembly. So we cancel the hooks in the new version of ER-TFT032-3.2.That"s the only difference for these two versions.
ER-TFT032-3.2 is 240x320 dots 3.2" color tft lcd module display with ILI9341 controller and optional 4-wire resistive touch panel and 3.2 inch capactive touch panel with controller FT6236,superior display quality, super wide viewing angle and easily controlled by MCU such as 8051, PIC, AVR, ARDUINO ARM and Raspberry PI.It can be used in any embedded systems, industrial device, security and hand-held equipment which requires display in high quality and colorful image. It supports 8080 8/16-bit parallel,3/4-wire serial interface. FPC with zif connector is easily to assemble or remove.Lanscape mode is also available.
Of course, we wouldn"t just leave you with a datasheet and a "good luck!".Here is the link for 3.2"TFT Touch Shield with Libraries, Examples.Schematic Diagram for Arduino Due,Mega 2560 and Uno . For 8051 microcontroller user,we prepared the detailed tutorial such as interfacing, demo code and development kit at the bottom of this page.

I"ve been using the Sainsmart 3.2" and 3.5" TFT LCD (http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-3-5-inch-tft-lcd-320-480-touch-screen-display-for-raspberry-pi-2-b-b.html) with my Raspberry Pi 2"s. I recently bought the Pi 3 and can"t seem to get the screen working.
It seems to fail at the point I download notro"s drivers from github (they download successfully, but on reboot, all I see on the hdmi display is the colored test square, and the SPI display is still backlight white with no image). It fails on this step even if I mix up the order.
I am impressed you appear to have done a little research BEFORE turning to the forums to sort out all the problems you will inherently have with the Sainshit TFT. My recommendation would be buy a GENUINE Coldtears 7" display and not a Sainshit rip-off of a Coldtears display.....
Not much more expensive, and (almost) guaranteed to work correctly with no problems with the UTFT suite of libraries by Henning Karlsen (now Rinkydinkelectronics), and not the butchered version Sainshit supply.
I have a 3.2" Sainsmart touch sensitive TFT display and I want to use it with my PI. this is proving to be next to impossible as all the guides out there dont do a very good job for someone at my skill level.
I am hoping to lean on this amazing community to help me with some answers. I need to know how to pin the display to my PI and what drivers I will need to push it. I am asking this as we are mentoring some kids this summer in all things STEM and I thought it would be a cool takeaway for all of them to build a miniature MAME gaming box (so a serial connection is out). Just a little something to bridge the gap! IF ANYONE could help I and the kids would be greatly appreciative. Just keep in mind any response will have to be VERBOSE as I am a noob .
