Model KTL201MD-02 top half of front screen is dim. Any ideas. I have never taken a multi layer screen apart. Could it be the inverter, ccfl or m/d pcb. Any help would a blessing.

Not good. I repair monitors all day. This is one of the biggest pain in the asses. There are only a hand full of Companies that are even certified to work on these. I believe propriitory rights of only IGT sales. Anyway MON_LCD,ASSY 20"",MLD,USB-TS,KORTEK $2800.00 from IGT. I think Casino Tech used to repair them,probably not now. Here"s a little trick that worked for me. Press auto adjust,does the top or bottom half of your screen switch brightness? If so carefully open the casing. Your 3 fans and your Maple A/D board should be exposed now. LOOK around and find the power cable should have 3 or 4 so wires. Your Molex plug should be burnt. Disconnect it, and again carefully take a small flat head screwdriver and start scraping the black oxidized pins. once pins are shinny connect molex and reassemble.
