If someone has previously opened or tried to repair the unit, an additional fee may be applied. It depends on the condition of the instrument cluster.

If a LCD display has pixel problems it is often because the connection from the printed circuit board (PCB) to the LCD display has broken. Many companies will just repair the connection, this is so simple that you could do it yourself in an hour…. but realise that this is a short term solution to the problem that will only hold up for 6-12 months. This is because the use of the special z-axis glue can only be used once.

At ACtronics we therefore prefer to choose a sustainable solution and replace these faulty connections preferably for new and improved products. Should the glass be broken, we will replace the glass for you.
