I pull an RV on a regular basis and as anyone who has done any trailer towing can attest, lining up the ball and hitch by yourself is difficult to say the least. You will damage your license plates where they are no longer serviceable and can get you a citation by driving in front of the kind of Trooper that likes stopping for those things easily. A rearview camera system could make life easier for me, or so I thought.

The rearview is not a direct replacement for the OEM rearview, which I knew going in to this. It"s wireless, so should"ve been less hassle setting up, it wasn"t. As far as I know the camera is decent, never got the system working. I had purchased a different night-vision camera to replace it, but it"s still in the box til I find a better solution.

The rearview cracked out of the box when I sat it on my cloth seats while working with the wires. Not stepped on or abused, just cheap. The wiring diagram included is pathetic at best. I would of preferred two sets of diagrams; one for those that want to follow picture installation and another that an electrical engineer could easily follow. Even after an exhaustive search online for such a diagram my efforts turned up next to nothing.

Don"t waste your time, effort or money on this thing. Spend the $150 and get the direct rearview mirror replacement system and if you can"t do it yourself have it installed professionally. That"s my two cents.
