Use our “Get an Estimate” tool to review potential costs if you get service directly from Apple. The prices shown here are only for screen repair. If your iPhone needs other service, you’ll pay additional costs.
If you go to another service provider, they can set their own fees, so ask them for an estimate. For service covered by AppleCare+, your fee per incident will be the same regardless of which service provider you choose.
All fees are in U.S. dollars and are subject to tax. A shipping fee will be added if we need to ship your iPhone. We’ll inspect your product when we receive it and confirm the service charges.
Your country or region offers AppleCare+ for this product. Screen repair (front) is eligible for coverage with a fee by using an incident of accidental damage from handling that comes with your AppleCare+ plan.
The Apple Limited Warranty covers your iPhone and the Apple-branded accessories that come in the box with your product against manufacturing issues for one year from the date you bought them. Apple-branded accessories purchased separately are covered by the Apple Limited Warranty for Accessories. This includes adapters, spare cables, wireless chargers, or cases.
Depending on the issue, you might also have coverage with AppleCare+. Terms and Conditions apply, including fees. Feature availability and options may vary by country.
We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare plan, whichever is longer. This is in addition to your rights provided by consumer law.
Replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may contain new or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested and pass Apple functional requirements.
Being a repair shop, we’re going to focus more on the reparability of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max rather than the percentage change of the camera, battery, or thickness of the devices.
On September 10th 2019, Apple announced three “new” iPhones. I put an emphasis on “new” because Apple hasn’t really done anything new in a long time, this was another refresh of the previous year’s iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR.
This year, they applied a “Pro” tag to all of the XS models and instead of calling the iPhone XR the iPhone 11R, they just shorted it to the iPhone 11; so for easy reference:
The iPhone 11 is essentially the iPhone XR, it has the same display, coming in at 6.1” which is bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro, but not as large as the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
That’s a different story under the hood, there are some changes on the cabling of the display, which is good and bad news. The good news is, the screens shouldn’t be expensive because it’s the same core.
The bad news is, it’ll take a few months for the high-quality screens that we offer to become available for the iPhone 11 for the factories to retool to account for the different cabling and positions of those cables. As of July 2020, parts are available.
The only major difference to write home about is the enhanced camera options on the iPhone 11. The new iPhone 11 has a dual rear camera with an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a wide-angle sensor.
The night mode uses the ultra-wide-angle sensor to capture more light than you could on the iPhone XR, thus allowing significantly better photos in low light environments.
For hardware, that’s all I really want to talk about. If you’re looking for a very in-depth article on all the differences between the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR, you can find a great article here.
As of May 2022, the iPhone 11 is one of the most popular repairs at our facility and other third-party repair shops in the country. It’s still early, and we’ll edit this article as time passes, but after the initial tear down videos of the iPhone 11 by our friends at iFixIt, it looks like we shouldn’t see any major reparability issues for a professional repair shop when it comes to the iPhone 11.
In 2018, according to our repair system, we had our first request for an iPhone XR repair in November of 2018, and we had our first screen repair in February of 2019.
Historically, screens for iPhones launched in September start to become available in October, but the price in the first 60 – 90 days of launch makes most repairs cost-ineffective.
According to some recent drop tests, the iPhone 11 is very fragile, and here’s a photo of what it’ll look like when your previous hits the concrete from about a 3′ drop.
As of July 2022, we are now capable of repairing the iPhone 11. Most repair shops now have access to iPhone 11 inventory and are capable of servicing any broken screens.
Apple current repair pricing for the screen is $199, but if you break the camera, back glass, docking port, rear camera glass, or any peripheral that you can think of on your iPhone 11, you’ll be shelling out at least $399.
iPhone 11 rear camera glass, batteries, docking ports, and cameras usually become available around 2-3 months after the launch, and repair shops charge significantly less than Apple for when those components break.
For example, an iPhone XR rear camera glass is only $69 versus Apple’s $399, so if you break something small within the first few months of the Apple launch, it’s best to wait for your friendly third-party repair store to get the parts, and we’ll repair that for you without breaking the bank.
After being in the iPhone repair business for almost ten years, we have a good track record of anticipating the future costs of repairs, when parts will be available, and what we will be able to service.
Since the iPhone 11 is just like the iPhone XR, we will be able to service all issues ranging from screens, bad batteries, damaged docking ports, broken cameras, to cracked rear camera glass.
For an extensive list for all iPhone 11 repairs that will be offered at Gophermods, you can visit the iPhone 11 repair page. We anticipate These parts are available as of March 2022.
The iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max will display to customers a warning on the device after any third-party repair facility installs a display after screen replacement.
Countless thousands of independent repair facilities across the country are capable of servicing your iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max display in the event your display needs to be replaced.

Have a broken iPhone screen? Here are three iPhone screen repair options and how much each costs, plus a breakdown of whether you should fix it or sell it.
NOTE: If your iPhone is still under warranty, check with Apple to see if you can get your screen fixed for free. Here’s Apple’s warranty coverage checker.
You can replace your own iPhone screen with a little tech savvy and a bit of patience. The repair requires disassembly, however, so you shouldn’t attempt this fix if you’re not comfortable doing that.
Your best bet is to buy a complete screen assembly, which is a much easier repair than replacing just the front glass or digitizer. Expect to pay between $45 and $280 for a new iPhone screen, depending on your model, where you buy parts and whether you buy a standard LCD or premium OLED screen. Toolkits start at $5 if you don’t already have the necessary tools.
WARNING: This can be a difficult repair, especially if you aren’t experienced. Understand the risk of additional damage that could void any warranties and insurance policies.Rather buy a new iPhone? Save with these iPhone deals
The process differs slightly by model, but generally involves these steps:Use a hair dryer, heat gun or iOpener tool to heat the front glass and soften the underlying adhesive
You can find detailed step-by-step instructions on sites like iFixit and YouTube. Here are some example videos for the iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and iPhone X.
Don’t want to fix your own iPhone screen? You can opt for professional repair instead. Local repair shops can often replace your screen in a few hours, either in-store or at your location. Online mail-in repair services take longer, but they’re good options if you don’t have a local repair store.
Expect to pay between $119 and $520 for professional iPhone screen replacement, depending on your model and repair shop. Note that Apple’s own repair service tops out at $329 for out-of-warranty screen repair. Apple also uses OEM (original equipment manufacturer parts), while many repair shops use less expensive aftermarket parts.
Mail-in repair services like iFixYouri and My Broken Phone typically charge between $100 and $200, but they don’t always list pricing for every repair on their websites. Sometimes, it’s because they haven’t updated their service offering lately, especially if newer devices aren’t listed. Other times, they can make the repair, but it’s too uncommon to stock parts.
In some cases, the repair is difficult and likely to damage the device, so it’s not profitable for the company to offer it. Or, the required parts are so expensive it’s not worth fixing. Either way, if the repair you need isn’t listed on a repair shop’s website, it’s a good idea to contact them anyway to see if they offer it.
It’s a good idea to ask about warranties on parts and labor before you choose a repair company. You should also inquire about your service tech’s experience, credentials and quality of parts.Interested in a refurbished iPhone 12? See where to get it for less
Do you have iPhone insurance? If so, you can file a claim directly with your insurance company, who might offer a choice between mail-in, in-store or on-location repair services. Some companies will overnight a refurbished replacement iPhone rather than repair and return yours.
Expect to pay a deductible ranging between $29 and $149, depending on your model and insurance company. Here are some example iPhone screen repair deductibles.InsureriPhone Screen Replacement Deductible
Should you fix your iPhone screen or sell it broken? You can base your decision on how much your iPhone is worth broken versus repaired, especially if you plan to upgrade soon.
For example, at the time of this writing, an iPhone X 64GB on the Verizon network was worth $255 in good condition. Here’s a breakdown of its net value after different repair options.
Next, compare the net value after repair to what your iPhone is worth in broken condition. At the time of this writing, a broken iPhone X 64GB on the Verizon network was worth $110.
As the table shows, our example iPhone will have significantly more value if you repair it yourself or file an insurance claim through AppleCare+ or Verizon.
However, SquareTrade insurance leaves a net value of $4 less than the phone is worth broken, while out-of-warranty Apple repair leaves a net value of $134 less, which means you’d lose money by going with those repair options.
The independent repair shop option leaves a net value of just $26 more than selling it broken, which might make you question whether repair is worth the hassle.
Of course, your decision depends not only on the value, but also how long you plan to keep your iPhone. If you intend to hold on to it for a few years, it’s cheaper to repair it than to buy a new iPhone.
If you plan to upgrade soon and trade in your old phone, however, it’s worth comparing your options to see whether you’ll get more value after repair or selling it as-is.
The sensor assembly on the back of the display is paired to your iPhone"s logic board and must be transferred from your old display to your new one. The sensor assembly includes the flood illuminator, a part of the Face ID security feature. If it is damaged or replaced, Face ID will cease to function.

iFixit has been offering OLED screens for those who would like to tackle repairs on their own. Those go for around $100 less than what Apple charges for an official screen replacement but now, it’s started offering LCD replacement for iPhone X, XS, and XS Max. It’s an interesting downgrade from OLED but some on a budget with DIY interest might find it’s a great option.
Apple’s screen repair costs jumped considerably with the arrival of the iPhone X. At this point, it costs between $279 and $329 to get an OLED on the X, XS, and 11 Pro.
we’re now offering an LCD screen option for the iPhone X, XS, and XS Max. These LCDs (and their Fix Kits) are less than half the price of the OLED models we sell. They’re a little darker (about 50 nits worth), the resolution is a little lower, and the colors and contrast ratio won’t be quite the same.
But you might remember that, until a couple years ago, most phones had LCD displays, including phones you probably loved. Apple notably stuck with LCD displays while Samsung was experimenting with early OLED, and Apple still uses LCDs in its iPhone 8 and XR models.
Indeed, it’s like turning your X or XS into a XR, display-wise anyway. iFixit’s new LCD options run $75 for the X, $85 for the XS, and then jump up to $165 for the XS Max.
iFixit highlights “these LCD replacements are hand-tested in the USA to our rigorous quality standards, and we back them up with a lifetime warranty.”

When we accidentally break the iPhone XS screen, we generally have these ways to fix it: repair in the Apple Store or Genius Bar, repair in a nearby repair shop or reputable repair shop, buy new screen replacement and repair tools online then DIY. No matter which method we choose, the iPhone XS screen repair cost is our biggest concern.
1. Replace the screen at Apple Store, we can get the best quality repair parts, because their screen replacement is from the original mobile phone production factory.
2. At the Apple repair shop to change the screen, we can get all the phone functions. As we all know, Apple iPhone device once replaced an aftermarket part in the third-party repair shop, some of its features will be missing. The most famous is the iPhone models before iPhone X. After replacing the Home button, the Touch ID will not be working. For the device after iPhone 8, the True Tone function disabled after replace an aftermarket screen
3. There are two kinds of price to replace an iPhone XS screen in Apple Store, the difference is whether the device is covered the AppleCare+. If you purchased the AppleCare+, the cost of screen replacement is $29. If you don"t have AppleCare+, the repair price is very high, you need to pay $279 for it, same as the iPhone X screen replacement price.
At the repair shop, we can choose screens of different quality levels and pay the corresponding price. Compared to the DIY repair, it has no risk to damage the device. As time goes on, the repair price of third-party repair shops will become cheaper and cheaper. And some reputable repair shops will also provide warranty service, you do not have to worry about the normal use of the phone after the screen is replaced.
The iPhone XS screen replacement cost at the repair shop: iPhone XS display price + labor cost. To see the iPhone XS screen price, check here: https://www.etradesupply.com/apple/iphone/apple-iphone-xs.html
You need to buy an iPhone XS screen online, preferably with a bracket assembly, which makes it easier to replace. It is best to buy screens at some Mobile Phone Parts suppliers instead of eBay, Amazon because they have higher quality products and better warranty regulations. You can purchase replacement parts and repair tools on the ETrade Supply, which have a 180-day warranty.
In general, regardless choose which way to fix the iPhone XS broken screen, its repair price is still relatively high, so we should protect the device well, cover a tempered screen protector on the screen and put the device into a protective case.

The cost of repairs for Apple"s iPhone 12 are higher than those for the iPhone 11, Apple has confirmed, but the cost to replace the new Ceramic Shield glass-protected screens on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro is the same as fixing the screen of the iPhone 11 Pro.
Pricing charts showing Apple"s repair fees for the newest iPhone models reveal it is an expensive endeavor for unfortunate consumers, as you would expect for the latest releases. However, while in some areas the cost is quite high for a fix or replacement, some aspects are surprisingly reasonable.
Apple publishes its out-of-warranty prices for repairs made by Apple itself, with the cost of servicing by Apple Authorized Service Providers potentially varying. For AppleCare customers, the fees are also mostly waived if covered by the plan, with screen repairs charged at $29 and other damage at $99 regardless of model.
The price lists also only include the costs for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 repairs for the current-generation devices, with iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max prices expected to be released at a later time.
To replace the screen of the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro, the out-of-warranty cost to consumers in the US is $279 for both models, which is the same as charged to repair the iPhone 11 Pro likely because of the OLED screen. For comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro Max costs $329 to repair the OLED display, the iPhone 11 costs $199 to fix the LCD screen, and the iPhone X is similarly $279 to fix its OLED display.
For battery replacements, Apple charges $69 for the iPhone 12 range, as well as the iPhone 11, iPhone XS and XR ranges, and iPhone X. The cost reduces to $49 for the second-generation iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier generations.
Under the category of "Other iPhone repairs," the fee for the iPhone 12 Pro is $549, matching the cost to fix the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, and iPhone X. The iPhone 12 has a charge of $449, $50 more than the $399 applied to the iPhone 11 or iPhone XR.
If your iPhone 11 Pro screen is cracked, not responding to touch, or not showing a picture when your phone is powered on, use this guide to restore your iPhone to working order with a new screen, a.k.a. display assembly.
The combined earpiece speaker + sensor assembly affixed to the back of the display is paired to your individual iPhone from the factory, so you must transfer it from your old display to your new one during any display replacement. It contains the flood illuminator, which is part of the biometric Face ID security feature. If it is damaged or replaced, Face ID will cease to function, so take extra care not to damage any of these components during this procedure. If damaged, only Apple or an Apple-authorized technician can restore Face ID function.
Today, many of us rely on our smartphones to communicate, work, and play. Therefore, it can be quite alarming when they begin to act strangely – especially if you can’t get your phone to turn on at all.
One of the most concerning issues to plague smartphone users is a black screen, often referred to as the “black screen of death.” However, despite the harsh name, this issue can be remedied in several ways.
To fix a black screen on an iPhone or Android, the first (and easiest) step is to do a hard reset. This basically entails rebooting the phone’s software. A hard reset can be performed right on your phone, although the process differs depending on what type of device you own.
If you’re still staring at a blank screen, it’s possible that the cable connecting the logic board to the LCD screen has become disconnected. This can occur if you accidentally drop your phone a few times. In order to regain your screen’s functionality, the cable will need to be plugged back in.
If you want to repair a broken iPhone or Android this way, it’s best to seek help from a professional. While you may find DIY instructions online, you could risk causing irreparable damage to your device if you don’t know what you’re doing. So, if you suspect that your phone’s LCD cable is disconnected, search for a place in Las Vegas that fixes phones.
When your phone screen goes black randomly, it may be an indication that something is wrong with your operating system. In that case, a factory reset is often beneficial. During a factory reset, your device’s data and settings are completely wiped, returning the phone to its original state (i.e., the state it was in when you first purchased it).
Not sure how to do a factory reset on an iPhone or Android? The process is more involved than that of a hard reset but can still be done with moderate ease.
Keep in mind that this process takes longer than a simple hard reset – you may have to wait several minutes for your phone to restart. Once the process is complete, check to make sure the device has been restored to its factory settings. If you’re presented with the iOS Setup Assistant upon startup, you’ll know the reset was successful. From there, you can choose to restore your backed-up data.
Sometimes a power button can get stuck due to trapped gunk, debris, or sticky food. You can try to dislodge debris by pressing the button rapidly several times. In most cases, the most effective method for sticky buttons is applying a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. Swab the area around the button to loosen up and extract dirt, dust, or whatever might be trapped in there. In some instances, you may have a broken button that will need to be repaired.
Your phone may not be charging properly if the charging port is blocked off due to grit or debris. Simply blowing on the port a few times can help. For a deeper clean, you can try gently scraping with a toothpick or using a cotton ball (or Q-tip) with rubbing alcohol. Some people recommend trying a low setting with a vacuum to extract dirt, but that can easily damage parts. Blowing out dirt with compressed air is a safer alternative.
Software issues with apps can sometimes cause a phone to act unpredictably. If you are noticing certain apps are crashing frequently, you should update them immediately. You should also consider deleting buggy apps for security and the health of your phone. If an app has crashed on your Android, you can force stop it through settings > apps & notifications -> see all apps -> force stop.

How much does it cost to fix a phone screen? And what"s the best option to get it repaired? Answering these questions seems like it should be easy, but with so many phone models and several repair options, it can get a little complicated.
A phone screen repair cost can vary depending on a few factors such as brand, model, and extent of the damage. This article will focus on the price difference between repair services, but it"s worth keeping these other factors in mind if you find yourself wondering why an iPhone 5s costs less to repair than an iPhone 13 for example.
If you want to know how much it cost to replace a phone screen, start by asking the manufacturer of your phone. For both Samsung and Apple phones, you have the option of getting your phone fixed through their official repair services. Benefits of this service include original parts, testing to ensure it"s restored to factory standards, and sometimes even repair warranties.
Repairing an Apple iPhone screen can cost anywhere between $129 to $329, with the iPhone 5 being the cheapest and the iPhone 13 coming in at the most expensive repair.
Meanwhile, an Android screen repair cost for Samsung phones ranges from $79 to $599 depending on the phone model. Samsung will repair phones as far back as the Galaxy A01 for the lowest price, but to repair the Galaxy Fold inner screen you will be paying the most expensive repair price.
Going direct to the manufacturer to repair your broken screen means that you get certified original phone parts and authorized service providers, but that doesn"t mean you should dismiss third-party repair shops. This is especially true if you want to save a bit of money.
While the prices will differ from place to place, using a repair calculator like Swappa can give you some ballpark estimates. As an example, an iPhone Xs can cost about $188, compared with Apple"s repair cost of $279.
On the other hand, a third-party repair for a Galaxy S8 will cost $223 while Samsung"s price is $219, making it a better choice to go with the manufacturer.
Another consideration to keep in mind is that, unlike the original phone manufacturer, third-party repair shops can replace just the front glass if that"s all that is broken, saving you a fair bit of money in the process (these prices might not be listed). If you suspect that only the glass is damaged, make sure to ask your local service provider if it"s possible to get a screen-only replacement.
To find a third-party phone repair shop, try your local mall, or else search Google Maps for a phone repair service near you. Another option is to ask an electronics shop if they can recommend a good repair service, or try an online repair calculator like Swappa which will show you a map of local repair businesses.
If you"re really on a budget, you could consider repairing the phone screen on your own. The upside is that the cost of materials and tools can be significantly cheaper than having a professional repair done. But the obvious downside is: you"re probably not a professional.
You can buy complete phone repair kits from places like iFixit, which include all the tools you need. While there isn"t a repair kit for every phone model, prices range from about $75 for an iPhone SE to $125 for an iPhone 11 repair kit.
It doesn"t always make sense to do a DIY repair, however. If you"ve never done your own repair then paying extra to have a professional handle it might just be easier.
On the other hand, when you can pay just $90 instead of $279 to replace your iPhone XS by doing it yourself, then you might want to give it a go. And in some cases like the Galaxy S6, Samsung doesn"t list it as a model that can be repaired through its service.
Now you should have a general understanding of how much it costs to repair a phone screen. You can head straight for a manufacturer repair, try searching for trusted third-party services, or attempt a DIY repair job.
Each option has its own benefits and drawbacks, depending on whether money, quality, or even a DIY learning experience is your main concern. But overall, there"s likely one route that will suit you best.
