We recently ordered this along with our cabinet mod kit upgrades. I was a little hesitant to get this widescreen monitor because, even though it is larger than our originally installed monitor, our cabinet had featured portrait-oriented games like Ms. Pac-man and Dig-dug. So, with this monitor I knew we’d be losing a little bit of vertical real estate. However, since the majority of games that are on the 6,000 game upgrade are widescreen, my kids talked me into this. I’m really glad we went with it after all. Sure, a handful of the oldest arcade games are smaller than with our previously vertical-oriented screen, but we used the ArcadeModUp suggestion and added the marquee graphics on the side and that adds so much to the experience. And, it goes without saying, all the horizontally-oriented games (which are the vast majority) look INFINITELY better on this larger screen. The quality of the image is extremely good as well. We built this kit to free you from the restrictions of having a smaller screen and the easy of replacement. With a Monitor built into the frame of your bezel you are stuck looking for a replacement that you won"t find in the USA that has to fit into that bezel.

You will find most aftermarket cheap monitors are what we call bulk buys, washed out colors and prone to dying so even though these can be purchased new we recommend you free yourself of this hassle most of these panels are on par with the quality of gen 1 arcade1up factory monitors and won"t last as long.

The Dell ultrasharp monitors are older but the panels exceed these bulk buy panels and the picture quality is way better then Arcade1up or any new overseas manufactured non name brand panel .

We strongly recommend that if you do this mod you go from 17" to 20". 19" is a OK but the 20" fills the entire screen and makes this upgrade really shine.

What monitors do we recommend? Most customers are using the ultra sharp Dell2007FPB monitors. These monitors can be purchased on Ebay or you may find some on amazon. You want to make sure the monitor you purchase will fit inside the Arcade1up. We don"t recommend ANY widescreen models. Get the square old school monitors

Be sure double check measurements on your monitor screen before ordering. We have several different bezels make sure you order the correct one. We don"t offer replacement bezels for wrong sizing.

If you need a vertical bezel ** Screen up and down ** we can do one for you select the custom bezel option and add in the notes vertical. Selecting this option adds an additional 2 to 3 weeks

If you don"t select shipping insurance and your item arrives damaged, It must be turned into the USPS inspection department for claim processing before a replacement is issued, This could take up to 30 days! We pack all items well but damage can happen from the lack of care through the postal service.

If you select shipping insurance you still need to turn the items in but instead of waiting for the claim to be settled we will send you a replacement after proof of return shipping.
