vello lcd screen protector factory
I purchase Vello glass screen protectors for a number of products now. The quality and fit is always excellent. This was for a Fuji F660EXR camera that was sent to the Philippines as a gift. The only problem is that you really really have to work sometimes to find the model that fits what you are looking for.
Vello"s product references on Amazon are not always complete. One product or model number obviously may fit numerous camera"s , cell pnoes, etc. What I have had to do ....is 1) Go to Vello"s site and search for a match; 2) Go to a competitor"s site and view the camera or cell phone etc ....and then see what model # they list for a match.

You put on a new Giotto Schlott glass protector every two or three months? Why? I"ve had mine on my 7D2 for the last five months and it"s as good as new. At $45 a pop that really adds up. Additionally, there is no glue ring on the Giotto Schlott glass. There are only three glue points. Two on the top, and one on the bottom. The rest of the surround is not glue.. It"s cushioning to support the glass and prevent dust from getting under it. Exactly which model protector are you referring to?
Yeah, I have a habit of scratching them heavily after a few months. Usually from a titanium flashlight clip or knife clip sticking out of a pocket if I"m the cause, or getting chipped by heavy usage of the camera. Also had high heat cause the adhesive to soften and slide the glass off. Other times, the coating gets trashed and after a while, the screen becomes hard to see through the nasty reflections.
There is a full 3M 200MP ring around the edge (that"s the tape type). Mine are all used on 1Ds3 and 1Dx screens. Full-tape-ring. No cushioning. The tape itself is the cushion. There"s also been quite a few times where I"ve pulled the tape off the glass - all the way around and replaced it with 300MP for higher adhesion in high temp environments.
Biggest problem is that there is still an air gap between the protector and screen causing some reflections. Currently, I"m testing a tempered glass one that"s not coated at all and held on using a thin layer of silicone adhesive (like the tempered glass ones for cell phones). Much better so far and no coatings to trash! Plus, less reflections (it"s "bonded" to the screen) and rounded edges - no chipping so far.
The Vello LCD Screen Protector Ultra works very well on my Nikon Z6 camera. I think that this product is well thought out by the manufacturer. Everything you need for a smooth installation are included, such as a small microfiber cloth, wet wipe, tape for dust removal, and instructions, among others. The instructions for installing this screen protector are also very clear and easy to follow. There are no bubbles if you follow the instructions carefully. The only nitpick I can mention for further improvement is that it seems that the screen protector can be 1mm taller (from top to bottom of the LCD) for a perfect fit. However, the 1mm gap that I noticed on mine might be due to me misaligning the screen protector while installing it. I cannot tell for sure because the screen protector is so clear that you can barely notice its presence. I strongly recommend this product.

I would assume the screen would be a similar sensitivity to my phone, but I only use the thin, cheap protectors on that which I"d rather not use on the 20.
I have tempered glass screen protectors on several of my cameras and this does not interfere with touchscreen operation (at least in my experience). I see no reason why the XT20 would be any different.
My XT20 currently has a Fotix antireflective screen protector (designed for the XT10 which appears to be exactly the same fit). These are quite good and are very easy to peel off (there is no residue/adhesive), and they do not affect touchscreen operation either. They are b*ggers to fit though - you get three in a pack and I almost always use up the first two before success with the last one.
Try Vello LCD Screen Protector Ultra. It"s made of glass and attaches to the LCD through static so it doesn"t leave any residue on the screen. It"s not made for X-T20 yet but it"ll come out soon. I use it on both my X-T10 and X-T2. Even so they don"t have touch screen I have a long experience using my previous Olympus system, E-M5 and E-M1 both with touch screens successfully. It"s a bit more expensive at $25.00 but it"s worth having it.

Yes, Vello screen stays in place on the same location you initially put it in with no move around whatsoever. It"s never been affected by putting the camera in and out of a bag, plus, as a great addition, it"s really easy to wipe fingerprints off and the most important part is it"s the best in terms of installing it on a LCD screen. The easiest installation from all screen protectors I ever tried in the past. Simply the best.
I"ve only had my X-T20 for a day now, but I put it on right out of the box. The touch screen remains responsive. I prefer the feel of tempered glass on my touch screen devices.

I use the Pachworks ITG tempered glass screen protectors on all of my camera, including my X-T20. No problem operating the touchscreen on the X-T20. Link below.
I have tried 3 different screen protectors and not one has worked properly. I tried the one from B&H Photo, the GGS from Amazon and the Expert Shield from Amazon. All three show an area of incomplete contact and no amount of pushing or massaging seems able to remove those areas.
You can clearly see the areas where it refuses to make full contact. Maybe it is due to my LCD not being perfectly flat. I have been surprised that others have not had this issue. I always put screen protectors on my cameras and never encountered this problem before.
I ordered the ProOptic screen protector through Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/ProOptic-Glass-Screen-Protector-Mirrorless/dp/B01N6WX6I9 ) for my X-T20. It arrived the other day and took just a couple of minutes to clean the screen with the supplied cloth, apply the screen and use the included plastic flat to squeegee two tiny bubbles out from under the screen. So far, it looks and works great with no noticeable impact on touchscreen functionality.

I"ve found that this was due to the screen not being totally clean. All it takes is a bit of dust to keep the screen protector from laying flat on the LCD. The one from B&H comes with a large alcohol wipe which seems to do the job.
The ProOptic glass screen protector for the X-T10 works great with the X-T20. I"ve had one on my X-T20 from day one. Application if the screen was quick and easy, and the touch screen functionality works, perfectly.
